- "We tremendously enjoyed our visit to Tokoriki. The resort is intimate and no detail has been spared. Getting there was not too difficult, but getting off the main island was worthwhile. The food at the resort was very well done, although some of the drinks (especially the blended ones) could be hit or miss depending on who was tending bar. Our only challenge, and truly this is shared to inform other potential guests who may be sensitive to the heat, was the lack of aircon. The resort is open air, with two air conditioned areas (boutique and media room). The bures allegedly are air conditioned but our mini split was unable to bring our bure temp below 82 degrees. We were able to make this work, but it did wear us out over time. The bures ware not well insulated due to their design, and the bathrooms have no fan or airflow whatsoever making them very hot and sticky. They also seem to lack a trap in their sewer lines so there is a small odor in the toilet room. Even with these considerations we would whole heartedly recommend this resort, but would suggest for those really sensitive to the heat to consider coming in a cooler month."

- "This was our first time at the Six Seasons- 2 adults, one 15 month old toddler. We LOVED it and hope to be back. The resort is classy without being pretentious. Breakfast was superb. Transfers were easy. We came from New Zealand and found everyone welcoming. We were contacted well before arriving and asked if we'd like a fence around our pool. We said yes, as our baby loves the water and obviously didn't want any accidents. He enjoyed being in the garden when we were in our villa and tried to open the fence but it was very well secured. Our villa and the resort were very well maintained and clean; i have given 4 stars because of some small things- a few squashed frogs on a path and grass that were there the whole time we were, an empty medication foil by our pool, also there the whole time and a wet tussue clump by the hot spa pool there for 24 hours. Definitely nothing major by any means, but noticeable. Of mention too- probably the best pillows I've ever slept on. My partner also really found the bed very comfortable. "

- "My partner and I stayed at the Royal Davui resort for six nights. Upon arrival we were welcomed in song by the staff. After a refreshing welcome drink we were escorted to our villa (one of only 16 on the entire island). Breathtaking doesn't adequately describe our private accommodations which included a living room, which opened onto a large deck overlooking the cerulean blue South Pacific. The deck also included a refreshing plunge pool and chase loungers. The bedroom also overlooked the ocean, as did the soaking tub in the bathroom. Dining included fresh food prepared daily (including daily fresh caught fish) as well as thirst quenching juices, cocktails and a selection of fine wines. We took advantage of one of the two gazebos for private dining one evening. Excursions were memorable including a boat ride to a neighboring island to tour the community and watch a presentation by the local school children. We also enjoyed a sunset cruise with appetizers, champagne and serenade. We will long remember the tour to the private island (a sliver of sugary white sand) for a picnic which included umbrella, chairs, drinks and lunch. All of this added to the experience, but not as much as the beautiful, smiling, friendly staff of the Royal Duvai including Iva, Paula, Matthew and David. If you are a senior looking for peace, relaxation or even a little adventure, I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Duvai Resort. "

If you are looking for an exclusive resort and have someone to wait on you hand and foot this Emaho is a must stay. The staff so incredibly kind and genuine, the Fijian people are like no other. If you have ever heard of "southern hospitality" the Fijians make southerners seem like "New Yorkers". Fijians have such a beautiful culture. This is a 5 star exclusive resort, anything you want the make happen. The staff is so accommodating we were taking care of by the same people the entire time. They get to know how you like your food and drinks. The chief was a MASTER!! Eating at Emaho was like being at a 5 star 5 table cloth restaurant every night! - "Cannot put into words how amazing and special of a place this is!" - "Purpose: Babymoon We booked the bure with a private plunge pool and I must say, I think it is one of the best rooms we have stayed at. The room itself is great, the private plunge pool is topped up every day and the setup makes it seem like you are in a private area all the way to the beach. The views from the room are so good you can sit on the bed, look over the patio, grass and beach and watch sunset (or you can walk down to watch it every night). The hotel food is good and room service is great. Beach is tidal, so low tide you won't be swimming in the ocean, but the main pool is great. High tide is great for snorkelling and their underwater museum. The spa was great, my wife had 3 pregnancy massages while we were there and I had 1. The surf trip was great and takes a few hours. Free paddle boarding, kayaking etc is great too. Staff are friendly, welcoming and entertaining. I was tossing up a few different places for our babymoon and this was amazing. 100% recommend. Its a short trip from the main land and I recon of the places I have stayed in Fiji this was the best. "

The dinner and bar food was ok. Servings were very large. I had a hard time finishing the 3-course meals. FYI, the continental breakfast does include hot food if you are considering that. Like most houses in Fiji we have an outdoor toilet,directly outside the house.We have just fitted new lights in both bathrooms and toilets for your convenience.The outdoor shower stall is by the toilet but is private.Like most other houses in the yasawas,we dont have hot water but the weather is always warm and the water is always at least lukewarm.You won't freeze in the shower.We have quality essentials for you.Each guest will be provided with newly imported soaps,shampoo,conditioner,body lotion and clean face washers and towels for use while staying with us.Linen is cleaned between every visit and your room will be cleaned before your arrival.The floor is covered with lino and the room has painted inner walls and a window,lighting and is lined.The room is very much like you would expect to find in most western houses.

Please note that we adhere to a traditional standard of dressing in Gunu.We ask men to refrain from wearing hats and women to wear either long skirt or use a wrap to cover your legs at least beyond knees.Thank you in advance for honouring our village rules.

The space
The space is a rented house with a studio apartment layout—an open room featuring three beds, perfect for sharing among three eco-conscious travelers. Perched on a hill, it boasts breathtaking ocean views that are truly to die for." There is another house at the bottom of the hill belonging to the owner with a beautiful vegetation of flower gardens that surround the property. There is also a small swimming pool at the very beginning of the driveway that can be enjoyed by Guests. The space is totally for the Guests as my family lives on another property yet we just visit daily to deliver breakfast, dinner if needed and also for daily housekeeping services. You're on your own with just the Caretaker at the Owner's house who simply minds his own business.

Garden Island Retreats specializes in authentic accommodation, eco-tours, and retreats. Guests have access to the entire house, though we don’t offer Wi-Fi at the moment. However, Vodafone coverage is good with a local SIM. Babysitting services are available for an additional cost.

We can help arrange activities such as snorkeling and diving trips, visits to waterfalls and waterslides (guided tours recommended due to the nature of the walks), and hikes up Mt. Uluiqalau to see its unique flower. Day or overnight trips to Qamea Island and fishing excursions can also be organized.

Staying on the village is a bit different because we have rules and regulations that all villagers and guests must follow.
Sevusevu: Almost all villages in Fiji require you to provide a gift to request entry into the village. This is called a Sevusevu, and traditionally was a gift of kava root or if you couldn't buy the uprooted kava, you can give $25 to the chief for the village fund in helping small projects in the village.
So for dress codes:
Females guest, we advise you to bring a sarong with you or a long dress below knee level as you will be wearing this once you enter into the village.
As for males, they are not allowed to walk around shirtless.
We advise our guest to wear something appropriate to cover their body as exposing of body parts is prohibited. if you would like to sunbathe, then we will point you to the direction which is located at the end of the village.
The boat transfer fare from Gunu Point to the village is:
•$30/ head one way, this is paid directly to boat owners as we try to help them as well with our homestay.
As for the meals, we have charged $55 FJD/ head.
Activities will be disccuss once you have arrived on the island as we offer paid and free activities.
• The famous underwater Yasawa cave trip is $250/head with a minimum of 2 person on this trip. This includes your cave fee, lunch and a small stop over at the famous blue lagoon beach on our way back so that you can enjoy a bit of a swim, sunbathing and your lunch. Cave trip is roughly one and a half hour boatride up and also on our way back.
• Mantaray snokelling $100 per head with a minimum of 2 person on this trip and will only be hosted during manataray season, which is from May to October.
•Coral garden snokelling $60/ head.
•handline fishing $55/head
•Spearfishing $55/head
•Spearfishing in open water with a gun in open water is $150/head.
•World war 2 plane crash site snorkel $85 per head.
•Sunset hiking $10/head
School tours $10/head minimum. During the tour, you will put your money on the donation box that is provided. The money collected will help in school projects. These are some of the school projects:
~solar systems (completed)
~water tanks
~staff quarters with solar systems
~library books
~walkway
•Shell marketing, some of village ladies would come and display their handicrafts to sell.
Our free activities are:
•garderning
•coconut husking and scraping
•oil making
• weaving (mats, fan, basket)
• tour around our village.
We are Seventh Day Adventists, so our religion requires us to observe the Sabbath which is from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. During this time we will not be available. We hold prayer meetings during this time, so we may not be immediately available to you. We will still serve you meals though.
Now, if you're thinking of buying a voda SIM, you may do so. We have a good reception on the island and have good access to internet. Please note that by booking with us, not only you are supporting local people in operating small businesses but supporting our village as well as a portion of our fee helps with the community in doing small projects.

The space
A private house that is just a few steps from the beach. Catch the sunrise every morning from your bed and enjoy our spectacular white sandy beaches with its crystal clear sea.
Eat meals served right out front of your house, with beautiful views of our sheltered local bay.
The house is simple, but we have amenities such as shared bathrooms and toilet. Like almost all island houses, during the dry season, showers will be using a small bucket to pour water over yourself, but other times of the year, a conventional shower with tap functions. The water is lukewarm all year round. Again, this is common to all houses on the islands. we can also cater up to 4 people or a family of 6!!

Guest access
Our beautiful bay is a marine reserve, so you may wish to walk or snorkel out to the edge of the reef where you can spot beautiful fish, stunning blue starfish and more elusive sandy colored star fish.

If you would like to sunbathe with your desired clothes, we will point you to a location which is located at the end of the village.

Want to take it easy and just relax? We have 2 hammocks you can lay in all day if you’d like to. Or you can relax on our little blue deck and enjoy views over the bay.

During your stay
