- "Staff was very friendly, cordial. We arrived early and they made every effort to have our room ready as soon as possible without even asking. They greeted us with a glass of cold tea which was very good and much needed because we were thirsty from walking from the pier to the hotel. They also let us know that the breakfast time had already finished but since the following day we were leaving early to take the ferry they could offer us the included breakfast on the day of our arrival, so we had a wonderful and homey breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and it was heaven because we had just come by ferry and hadn't had time to have breakfast. They had water, coffee and tea at the lobby all day. We could walk to the main pier and shopping and dining areas easily, safely and comfortably."

- "When I arrived, there was no one to check me in. I had to call someone. The manager arrived 30 minutes later. The room itself was OK, comfortable enough and clean, and my bed was made every day. The location is good. Easy walking distance to anywhere. The hot water was not automatic and I had to request it be turned on. The shower was average, at best. Breakfast was good; continental style. Security was fine. I would possibly stay there again, but it's good to have low expectations."

The hotel A/C and Wi-Fi worked well, and I had a comfortable night here. There is a motion sensor hall light that shines into the room through the top windows and some noise as they walk by. It gets quiet after 10:00 so not too much of an inconvenience. Staff helped me with bus arrangements. " - "There was no office to check in. Thankfully we meet a nice local who knew the woman who ran the hostel, he was able to call her to give us our key. There was a fridge and hot plate in the room we used to cook breakfast on with their dishes. It was a block away from a street that closes down every night to host all the local food. It was a little loud but every place is doing to be loud in the middle of town. They came in and cleaned every day too."

The roads are dirt roads, so walking with heavy luggage isn’t ideal. Just pay a taxi to drive you if you don’t want to walk. - "My first solo adventure and I was a little anxious to say the least! I was given a warm welcome from Carlo and checked in straight away. I had room #3 on the bottom floor tucked away in the corner. There are 5 hammocks just outside which would be a lovely place to chill if they were in the sun! And lines to hang wet clothing / washing if needed. Room is clean and plenty of space. And is tended to daily. Bed is comfy and air-conditioning works well. Bathroom is functional and has plenty of hot water. Hand soap and shampoo provided. The WiFi is great both in the room and communal areas. I have breakfast included, freshly cooked and prepared by Carlo's lovely wife Estelle. I've stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic different breakfast each day. It is a little annoying you have to say a time for breakfast each day, but I guess that's because it's cooked freshly for you. Generally I prefer to help myself, but I've been very satisfied with the offerings thus far!!! The location is good, in a quiet back street, but super easy to get around. A small shop just across the street, and it's not far to walk to anywhere. It has tested my limited Spanish language!! But Carlo is very good with the translate app! Would I stay here again? Absolutely! I've felt very welcome and safe, it's a real home from home vibe. Muchas gracias Señor Carlo and Señora Estelle! "

Hostal Morning Glory is located right in the heart of Puerto Ayora. Most of the sites in town can be easily reached by walking: Only 1 minute to the Fish Market, 8 minutes to the main port, and 10 minutes to the Charles Darwin Research Station.
