Good enough for a place to stay for a couple of days. What i love the most about this hostel is that it is located at the center of Tsim Sha Tsui and very near to the MTR. Tranpo is very easy and hassle free. Hostel is also walking distance to the ferry terminal going to Macau and HK island. Near 7/11, McDonalds, Starbucks avenue of the stars where you can witness the symphony of the lights. The girl in the reception area was not that friendly though. Overall, I was satisfied with our stay."

Also be aware there is a charge for staying past your check out time equivalent to another nights stay. On my first night they had NOT turned on the hot water heater switch and oddly enough the 2 telephone number on the receipt contacted an a Chinese hotel and the 2nd number correctly contacted the Indian receptionist. Wifi was good and condition was acceptable and clean."

The reseption guy basicly live there. Nice guy by the way. Room was good, quiet and view was in the air shaft. Not good thou. Everything what I expect was available. - "Room was super small (although we expected as much) and we had barely enough room to put our minimal luggage (we only had hand carry baggage, so they were quite small), nor to stand around. The room did not smell good (urine? but was fine after a few flushes and 30 minutes of turning on the exhaust), and the sheet and pillow covers did not smell fresh (we covered the pillows with our extra shirts or shawls. The Indian lady receptionist was not friendly. BTW, the Paris Guesthouse is a part of some sort of "group of hostels" which means you can be given a room that is also used by Days Hostel, Dhillon, Manila Guesthouse, Day and Night, etc. Located in the famed Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), it is quite far from the night markets but is walking distance from the Star Ferry port, the TST MTR station, lots of malls and restaurants, and other points of interest. On the ground floor of the building, there are lots of Indian restaurants (check prices first before you sit down!), Filipino stores, money changers and other small kiosks for other helpful items. If you are really trying to stretch your money and don't mind the discomfort of small, a-bit-smelly rooms, then this will be just fine. Enjoy HK!"

When I said no, I shouldn’t have to pay extra as it is a matter of principle they told me if I had further complaints to call the police. I was also told maybe I can’t be trusted. Just very bad experience. Also the place is untidy, humid, in a very rundown building. Showers are despicable. Not social at all. Many old people in dorms (I’m talking 65+). Would not stay here again. Just disgusting. "

After we got the room we headed out for dinner and when we got back there was cockroaches in the 5 square meeter room, which was badly cleaned beforehand. With a hole in the ceiling all kinds of animals could live up in that roof.. This was especially strange, due to the extra service fee you have to pay for each night at this place. We ended up leaving and had to book another hotel down the street - ended up with a 4 star hotel for cheaper than this hostel. (we payed to much due to early booking, and there was not a refund we could get). "

The size of the room was very small and there were signs up apologising for this but I can live with a small room. There was no window in the room which made it feel even more claustrophobic. We both found it difficult to sleep in the small bed and I had to use the towels provided to cover part of me up when I slept, otherwise I would get cold as the single size bed cover wasn’t big enough for both of us. Room was cleaned daily and the staff were friendly, which was the good part. We weren’t offered any welcome drink as specified in the confirmation email either, although not sure where we would have found space to drink it. Overall fairly disappointed that the room was not as described."
