There's convenient stores nearby. Accidentally left some of my belongings, hotel staff kind enough to recovered and kept it for me until I went back to collect the next day. However, the place is very quiet so there is no issue. They provide you with a pair of PJs , towels and toiletries (soap and shampoos are shared in the toilet) so you do not need to bring your own. They even provide cotton pad (actually more like super thick tissue) and facial wash. The room and facility is very clean. You can also go into the shared public onsen to take a dip. The place also provide free supper (but usually finished before 9.30 pm). For breakfast, they give egg sandwich with pumpkin and pickles. The place is very near to the train station (7 mins walk) and there were a few shops nearby. There is also a night market within 20 mins walk. The staffs there are very friendly too."

- "This was a surprise to me. While marketed as a hostel, they provided impeccable service. The staff were helpful and friendly; and the location is superb. It is directly opposite the Hualien Train Station (you can see the green building from the station, and vice-versa). Saves you the trouble of finding a taxi or alternative transport (which is helpful as it is difficult to get an Uber ride in Hualien). The overall bus station is also beside the train station (allowing for easy transfers to the inner parts of the city like the night market and Taroko Gorge). Great experience, will recommend. Booked a private room and it is equivalent to any self respecting hotel."
