Almost all of the landmarks are within walking distance. Since there's a small kitchen you can also shop at the local markets and enjoy a quick meal at the apartment. Also, every morning a generous basket of pastries and yogurt is left at the door. Overall, this is a perfect place to soak up the local city vibe. A thing to bear in mind is that the hotel is not accessible by car, which can be an issue if carrying a lot of luggage. There is however a reasonably priced underground parking 1-2 min walk away. "

- "I had a delightful stay here at this cute small new hotel. Paris-sized (small!) room with modern and artful finishings/ amenities and style. Closest thing I’ve had to a functional American-style bathroom/shower in France in any hotel under €300 which was a breath of fresh air. Love the artwork on the walls, nice location in the old city 5 min walk from train and close to lake. Check in was fast and easy and in English if you want. The hotel restaurant where they do breakfast seems a bit stuffy / expensive/ formal for picking up a pastry and orange juice but what can you do (and there are a gazillion other options nearby). I had dinner at the hotel restaurant my first nite and it’s pretty good, maybe a bit overpriced (you would get significantly better at this price point in Paris) but still very nice, English menus available which is nice. I note that there is no hotel lobby if you care about that kind of thing. But there is an elevator and also a separate entrance for the stairwell if you hate elevators (I hate elevators). "

Good carpark " - "For that price was ok" - "A motel rather than a hotel: the reception and dining area are in a small block adjacent to the rooms, which are housed in a separate two-storey block. Free internet access in reception, free WiFi in the rooms (the receptionist will give you the access code on request), 24-hour access using a passcode for the gate. Ample free car-parking. Rooms: clean; the same applied to my "en suite" toilet / shower cubicle. A bit cosy for more than just a few nights - I stayed for three, but a week would have been about my limit, I think. The breakfast buffet (EUR 5.00 per person over the room price as of Monday 19 September 2011) is entirely French: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, baguette, various types of bread and cereal, jam, butter. Tip: if (like me) you prefer coffee made with *cold* milk, draw a "café long" from the machine and add milk from the jug on the side. The staff were uniformly pleasant - although non-French speakers may have to wait a moment for a speaker to be found."

Woke in the morning to the smell of freshly baked croissant and the cooing of pigeons on a nearby roof line.
