- "I took a chance on this airport hotel even though it is relatively far away from the airport. Doubletree did not fail. It was a sound-proofed paradise of comfort. The airport shuttle is wonderful too - as long as you don't have a flight before 10 am. If you do, you'll need to take a cab. Also, breakfast was not included in my stay, but the wonder of my sleep made up for it. The only bad was that there wasn't wi-fi in the rooms, but for such price and everything above, it was ok for us, just using internet in the lobby if it is necessary. "

Avcilar is definitely quite far away from downtown Istanbul, but the metrobus, which has a station 700m away from the hotel, takes you there in less than an hour, so you don't have to care about rush hours and traffic jams. Connection to the airport is also very good - with a direct airport bus stopping not far away from the hotel (stop is called Avcilar Mosque and it's so strange why Google Maps don't show it), but you can also choose regular public transport to get there even cheaper. I am definitely glad I chose this hotel and would certainly consider it again when coming back - of course, if the prices are still that reasonable."

False Advertising – The pictures online are a complete lie. The pool was closed, the gym was unusable, and the “luxury” amenities were nonexistent. Unsafe and Unhygienic – I wouldn’t be surprised if this place was a health hazard. There were bugs in the room, broken furniture, and an overall feeling of neglect. Save yourself the frustration and stay FAR away from this place. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me! "
