Their best assets at the resort are their food and their staff! If I can make one suggestion, most toilets I used at the resort had toilet seats that were smaller than the actual toilet. There is access to the narrow beach, however Alona beach is more about bars, so we enjoyed more the pool areas of the resort with ocean view. - "This property has a certain charm, is very atmospheric with pretty gardens, but seems passed its prime. The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive. - "A great hotel, very clean, nice, good quality mattress, sheets, towels and all the goodies any American tourist will feel at home. We booked the Deluxe king size bed and we received a beautiful room on the 5th floor. We were asked to pay additional 500 pestos for 2-3 hours early check in which was unnecessary to get a little more out of us but, after a long journey, we just paid it. The room was big, really big and I think the A/C BTU is not enough for such a big room. But, all in all it was a great stay in a wonderful hotel with wonderful people. "

- "Excellent staff!!!" - "Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Location was perfect as it was right on the beach in the middle of lots of Bars and Restaurants. You will be spoiled for choice. There was a great deal of activities to do on the beach. And i liked that this was all within walking distance. Only two things i would criticise. First being that i didn’t understand the room cleaning policy during my stay. So my room wasn’t cleaned and towels wasn’t changed in the 5 days i stayed. (however, i did have 2 shower towels for a one person stay) and the second was that they have a big karaoke machine next to the restaurant and pool area. I found this to be randomly switched on during the afternoon and was extremely loud. Something to bear in mind if you want to relax by the pool or in the bar. I could hear this from inside my room. Over all staff was really friendly and accommodating and the hotel was a pleasant place to be."
