People came from the outside to be photographed with the vines and Italian-style buildings. The pool was wonderful The location was in the middle of the island, not too far from the airport and a ride away from beaches and other site. One could sit by the pool or go about easily. There is nothing nearby, such as restaurants. You have to a Grab or a tuk-tuk for 150-200 PHP. Use the Grab app to get around. It's cheaper than the un-Filipino, imported tuk-tuks. (Philippine tricycles are better, more comfortable.) My wife and I would stay there again. "

Technically, it is walking distance to the main drag as well as the beach.. but it's a walk... 15min to helmut's corners, 20min to the farthest bars on the beach and about 10min to the beach. You have to kinda get to know the roads to get to the beach. Renting a moto might be a good idea at this hotel and for 250p/day it is an option (they do not offer it but there are several other places who do). There is no pool, there is a bar/breakfast area and it was staffed from about 8am-11pm. Very Friendly Staff. Right next door is a restaurant Vanilla Sky so if you want, they can do room service from the place next door. The rooms are in good condition, the place is 4 years old. Nice split aircon although when it rained there was a problem with my unit. So... the staff are super friendly and helpful, the bar is nice to have a few drinks or for breakfast. The rooms a small but have a good quality TV and Aircon. It's not the worst location but it is 10min from the beach and 15-20min from the "heart" of alona. For the price, hard to beat although it could use a pool."

Our ultra modern minimalist home is set on a cliff overlooking a small beach and the beautiful blue waters towards Bohol and Cebu Islands. This listing offers 2 air conditioned bedrooms accommodating a maximum of 4 guests. The Sunset Room is upstairs in the main house. The second room (Garden Room) is set off the rear garden and has its own private access. Fiona and David also live in the house and offer 2 rooms for guests so the house is a refreshing alternative to a crowded resort.

The space

The Sunset Room is air conditioned and is upstairs in the main house, the modest sized room boasts a large private bathroom with hot shower. The second room (Garden Room) is also air conditioned and is set off the rear garden, has its own private access and private bathroom with hot shower.

IMPORTANT: Our house is only suitable for guests who hire a motorbike or car to get around as there is no reliable public transport on Bohol and there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance of the house.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the lap pool and terrace during their stay and coffee and tea making facilities are available free of charge. We also have laundry facilities which are available to guests or our house help can do washing for a small extra charge. The kitchen is not available for guest use as we encourage you to explore the many restaurants around Panglao.

Interaction with guests

We work and live at home and are usually around the house. We enjoy meeting other travellers but respect people's privacy.

Other things to note

If you would like to explore the island we can arrange a tour with private driver or if you are more adventurous we can arrange a hire motorcycle for you.

The main tourism areas of Panglao are on the southern part of the island so we recommend that guests hire a motorbike, car or tricycle to access the many wonders of Panglao and Bohol. Being independent in terms of transport will make your stay more enjoyable.

Bohol is a remote province so taxis, uber and public transport is limited and often unreliable. We recommend guests take out travel insurance when visiting the Philippines as transport can sometimes be delayed/canceled due to typhoons. We apply our published cancelation policy in these instances.

Unfortunately Internet access in the Philippines is not reliable. Speeds may vary and sometimes the signal is irregular. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Our property has no on-site restaurant but guests can cook and also use the shared outdoor kitchen for cooking and all. (The Beach House and Family Room have their own private kitchen)
