I couldn’t drink either which I found disappointing. The pools are large and clean but too salty and caused eye discomfort. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. - "Said the air-conditioning was broken. Wouldn't be fixed for our stay. Hadn't been fixed since last summer. Room was nearly 30 degrees. No communication prior to our stay. Everyone was complaining." - "Don’t bother staying here if you expect a clean hotel. This is NOT a four star hotel. If they advertised that is was a one or two star hotel then I could understand, but it is not a four star hotel. - "Le Acacie is a charming hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location. The beach is right there, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was good, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. That said, getting there isn’t the easiest — especially without a car. You’ll likely need to arrange a transfer or take a taxi from the port or nearest town. It’s worth it once you arrive, but do plan ahead. A great spot if you’re looking for a quiet break by the sea."

- "Very friendly staff, with a lot of programs for everyone and everyday. We had our dog with us as well. At the pool it was not allowed to have her, but we could walk down to the beach in 2 minutes where she could stay all day long with us. The hotel is little old-school, little rooms and simple setup, I would say a 3 star if we are stricter. Definitely not a 4star hotel when we compare it with other hotels from big cities.."

- "Bellissima location " - "We booked this room online in a rush and never expected such a beautiful property and nice staff. It was a perfect stay. The rooms are not luxury by the USA standards but totally adequate and very clean. The view and private balcony was unique. We chose to have their set menu for diner both nights. - "Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good food on site. " - "Stayed for two nights in late October 2021, and we were very pleasantly surprised as we knew virtually nothing about the hotel, area and island before we arrived. The hotel is a bit dated and was clearly winding down for the season when we were there (examples: no wine glasses for the room, no ice in the ice machine and no idea how to get ice…), but the staff was extremely friendly and organized and the restaurant was really good. Of course, the view from the hotel and restaurant cannot be beat! We had two great meals there and enjoyed the good variety of choices in the three courses they offer plus dessert all for 25 euros pp— excellent value compared to some of the other restaurants we visited in Rome and Tuscany. The hiking trails out behind the hotel are amazing and the nearby beach is great for families, with a nice sandy bottom and shallow water and fun waves, and nice sun until late in the day. "

- "When we booked this hotel at the price quoted we wondered what exactly we were getting for our money. We were therefore very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room, (two double beds, en-suite and patio with table and chairs) with linen changed regularly. We were even more pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the breakfast. The evening meal when we ate in was good. Several other restaurants within walking distance, and lots more just a short drive away. A beautiful beach was less than half mile walk. All-in-all some of the best value we have had. The only negative comment I have seen was "the shower is small". I would agree with that statement, but if that is the worst we can come up with....."
