However, this time was slightly disappointing as they changed some things. They removed the check-in desk and turned the whole lobby area into a buffet restaurant. This was unpleasant as the check-in is now at Walkherhill, through some banquet rooms and small hallway. The buffet always had a lot of people lined up and congregating, and the people from banquet using were also very loud. Maybe it's because our visit this time was during December, close to Christmas-time, but still it was rather chaotic and not as quiet and orderly as before. The facilities also showed a lot more aging. Their room service menu also changed, and it seems (even for a 4-5 star hotel) almost laughable to pay 65000 won for a soy bean paste soup. We did order kimchi soup for 55000 won before, but small pizza and bowl of doenjang soup for over 60000 won seems odd. Still, it's a nice hotel with a reasonable price ($190-200 if you choose a room without view, with 2 double beds) with very friendly and professional staff. Oh, and the fitness center is great! "

- "Although in need of some modernisation, especially in the bathrooms and carpets, it’s a good and convenient hotel to stay in the Gangnam area. The airport shuttle is right outside when arriving from the airport, the bus stops are only a few minutes away. No subway nearby but it’s a nice area to walk around. The staff were nice and helpful in booking us a trip to the DMZ. The rooms are comfortable and the bedding is soft. Didn’t try the pool or nightclub, but the sandwich shop was lovely and packed is snacks to take to the DMZ. I would stay again "

There’s a convenience store attached to the hotel, perfect for all times. They also have washing and dryer machine on the underground level. For solo or couples is the exact size and space needed. Shower+bathtub, toilet and sink are all separated, there were 2 big desks and one small one, two chairs. The room is equipped with AC, heater, TV, mini fridge, hair dryer, basic hair care(brushes, gel). The TV is huge, with access to internet, Netflix and YouTube. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and clean(4 pillows and an amazing duvet). Really close to shopping district and nice food locations " - "Hotel staff spoke English well, never had difficulty explaining myself, i found that the station which is about a 5 minute walk away, is a major station with several major lines, most important of which is line 2, and that is the closest to the hotel ( exit number 2). The room looked very nice, well themed and decorated (romantic) with a nice large tv with a few english channels, a work computer if you didn't bring your own laptop, fast reliable WiFi, complimentary water and juice in the cooler, which got restocked every day and a nice large bathroom and tub. (the room itself was large compared to many Japanese/Korean living conditions) The room also sports a nice lighting system you can control the TV, the lights and the air conditioning with a single remote. The bed was on the harder side, while i have had worst hotel beds, i had a good nights sleep every time and on the good side it was nice and large so the two of us had plenty of room to stretch out. The view was nice, but the window was small, then again, on the good side, once we closed the decorative shutters the room became nice and dark as well as silent. my biggest concern was the air conditioning vent is pointed at you when you sleep, so it became quite cold at night, we had to rely on cooling the room down at night and then turning it off when we went to sleep. another solution was to put towels in the railing in front of the bed and point the vents down. the floor could have been cleaned more often."

I asked the staff if i can get a refund and find another hotel but he refused so we got into the first room and it was horribly dirty/moldy/smelly and so many stains on bed.. so i moved to the second room, of course it’s the same condition so just got extra bed sheets to cover the bed but still couldn’t sleep at all…also the cheap air refresher in the room drove me crazy too.. we normally visit Korea twice a year but it was the worst place ever in my entire life. The next morning we called expidia and report this place to escape. I talked to the front guy who has very rude attitude but he didn’t understand! I’m sure, he never travel or never been to outside of Korea. This place shouldn’t be on the list at all. Please don’t go to this place. Don’t ruin your wonderful trip in Korea! "
