- "The Grand is a very nice hotel near the middle of the city. But it is a very large city. Conveniently located at an important crossroad, subways, buses, and taxis are available. Plenty of good food nearby, Korean and Western. Room was large and comfortable. Giant Starbucks in the lobby" - "The headboard on the bed had large, disturbing stains in the fabric. The buffet was large and had many offerings providing a variety of breakfast options. They do not provide coffee in the room, only tea. I suspect this a tacit agreement with the Starbucks Reserve in the lobby to draw in guests. Not a huge problem, unless you wake up early because Starbucks does not open until the mid-morning (traditional Korea start times)."

We asked if we could check in early but the front desk lady immediately dismissed our request and told us to come back at 3pm. She didn't even take the initiative to check her computer to see if a room was available. That left us with quite the unwelcoming experience. The room was a bit dated and tired looking, and small. The double bed also wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom was good though. The swimming pool was closed throughout our stay. They gave us a single coupon for breakfast which was very strange given there were two of us. The breakfast layout was very strange - there were about 7-8 round tables with 6 chairs each. Food was mainly Korean cuisine but the coffee was good. Unlike the check-in experience, the front desk staff during our check-out were very friendly and polite. They even stored our luggage for us in a secure location after we checked out, and even called us a taxi to the train station. They told us the ride was about 7 minutes and would cost around 7,000 Won, and it was very accurate. "
