Every room there appeared to be different with unique view and size so choose well. The breakfast is cheap but you can do better at the coffee shop on the ground floor or the McDonalds next door. - "I stayed at this hotel while waiting for my apartment in the city to be vacated. I was just looking for a place to stay but it turned out to be in a fairly interesting place. The steel mill has a light show almost every night and a nice beach with plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants has one of the better views. There was a mixture of dining options, I chose a pretty nice Italian place. It should be noted that Pohang is know for its seafood (it is a port) and most restaurants will focus on one kind of a seafood dish or another. It should be noted that I speak pretty good Korean and this place is a bit away from the traditional tourist options. Since it is a bit away from the English-speaking centers I suggest learning some key phrases or going with a translation app. This hotel is about 30 seconds - 1 minute from a bus stop. The buses run to and from the main bus terminal in the city. If you want to get on an early bus to another city this would be a good place to stay. Is is about 20-25 minutes on the 130 line to and from the bus station. The train station is also on this side of the city. When I was there the front desk was staffed by someone with good-enough English to check in and ask simple questions. Overall I would recommend this place if you get a good deal and need somewhere to stay for a night or two. Small continental breakfast was cheap. Eggs, cereal, kimchi soup, bread, and jam. Fairly standard."

As my daughter will be studying at Postech in next 4 years or so, this hotel is obviously going to be my #1 hotel in Pohang. 1. Location It is not only close to the University but also in a walking distance to "Street of Youth" in SSANG SA (Ssang Yong Intersection) surrounded with lots of restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, big supermarket in the vicinity of "Street of Youth" 2. Rooms Rooms are all very clean and well maintained in various rooms I stayed in Double, Suite, and Family as well. They are all equipped with spacious restroom with tub. 3. Breakfast Abalone porridge per person is amazing in taste with enough portion along with orange juice, toast with jam, and cup ramen as well. 4. Parking Sometimes it's all packed when you check-in late in the evening but the hotel will make sure they make a room for you to park close to the hotel outside."

- "I am from the US and searched all of Korea for a special destination for a vacation and finally settled on PineWave. We had a ten night stay in B7 and it was amazing. The proximity to the ocean gave us the opportunity to hear the soothing sound of waves crashing against the rocks day and night. We saw beautiful sunrises and felt the fresh ocean breeze right from our bedroom! The kitchen was sufficient for our needs and we ate most meals from the intimate table overlooking the sea and pines. We arrived to Pohang by KTX train from Seoul then took a taxi to Pine Wave for about 50,000 won. We spent the first four days without a car, walking and jogging to the scenic places along the shore. The town of Guryongpo is easily within walking distance and has good coffee shops, supermarkets, and many restaurants with a lot of crab! PineWave is not great for ocean swimming because of the rocks but Guryongpo has a beautiful sand beach and when we swam there in mid September the water was surprisingly warm. It is possible to enjoy PineWave without a car, using public transportation, taxis, or even cycling. However, after three days we took the 9000 bus back to KTX and got a rental car there from Lotte for 7 days. The bus was only 1300 won. We made hiking excursions to two National Parks, Juwangsan and Gayasan, from PineWave. Both were about two hours drive and we ended up staying overnight at Gayasan for a second day of hiking. With the car we visited sunrise point and nearby hot springs."
