I will use them again" - "Basic" - "Best feature is the exterior of the building and I guess a parking spot is a luxury in Morocco. Came on time at 12pm and they checked my reservation to ensure they had it. I decided to get a late lunch and then check-in fully. When I tried to check-in around 4pm they didn’t have my rooms ready. I reserved 2 rooms with a pool side view. After waiting in the lobby and asking a few times if the room was ready they finally said it was 30 minutes later. Got to my room to find it open, floors dirty/wet, no towels, and a clogged sink. So after another hour got the sink unclogged and a towel that I had to grab from the cleaning trolly because there wasn’t a staff member to be seen. I decided to wear slippers in the room and not bother to tell them to clean the floor again. My poolside view was a joke from a 1x2 ft window that mostly had a view of the adjacent construction dirt zone. I literally had to open the window and stick my head out to get a good view of the pool. Elevator had a foul smell. Pool table required coins to play. Breakfast included! Had to request fresh orange juice that Morocco is infamous for because initially they had powdered orange water. All breads were cold. Tables were dirty. Staff attire was dirty. Went to outdoor lounge area to drink coffee and tea to find rusty chairs and sun damaged plastic chairs with dirty spots on chair pads. Overall, I rate this hotel a 1 star because the price, appearance, and accommodations."

- "Great host and wonderful rooms. Everything was clean and nice and owners are very helpful. We stayed for 2 days and we were the only guests during that time, so it was very quite and relaxing. Villa Daba isn't near Essaouira's city centeral, but it is within driving distance. It takes anywhere between 15-25 minutes and it is a nice drive. Breakfast was great. We would stay again. The only issues we had with the property were one the road to the property isn't paved, which isn't noted on Expedia. It is very bumpy and if you drive slowly on it which we did it can take a little time. The second thing is that the property doesn't take credit cards they only take cash, again which isn't noted on Expedia. The owner was nice enough to lead us to an ATM to withdrawal cash, but if would have been nice to know up front. Lastly, though it wasn't a big deal the owners only speak French and the workers speak only Moroccan, Arabic, and French. So if you don't speak any of these languages you could have a hard time, but they are all very nice people."

We are a Franco-Moroccan couple with an 8-year-old girl and we invite you to welcome us in our guest house specially built so that everyone can find their space.
A paradise in the countryside and much less wind than in Essaouira which is only 5 km away. A superb swimming pool to relax but also a barbecue to enjoy after a small aperitif under the hut. For 4x4treux in distress a workshop with 35 years of experience.
We are close to all activities and provide transfers:

- "A perfect rustic escape. Thierry and Hakima are both super chill. They make you feel as if you are at your own home. Thierry did me a huge favor and picked me up tickets for the festival when they were no longer available online. Khadijah, who helps with breakfast was fantastic. Would stay again in a heartbeat." - "beautiful" - "The place was NOT at the location given by FEWO nor at the place shown on the map of FEWO: The place is located 8 km from the Medina of Essaouira and 5 km from the beach (not 500m), it is just at the outskirts of Ghazoua) They picked us up but did not offer transfer during our stay. They charged 2 Euros per person for the pick up, taxi is 1 Euro per person. The rooms were dark, air condition did not work, water stayed in the shower and many ants were walking through the room. Toilet paper had to be collected in a garbage can which we emptied ourselves after 3 days. Pool and garden are nice. Two of us were invited once to join their lunch. When picking up a family member they offered to take us along to the next money machine (~ 1km). This seemed friendly but at the end of the stay they charged 4 Euros for the ride to the money machine. When we wanted to leave the owner wanted more money than on the FeWo bill. The bill contained an amount for taxes which we of course paid. The owner claimed that the taxes were higher in August and we therefore should pay more than on the bill. However, the taxes per person and day on the FeWo-bill agreed exactly with the taxes we paid at all other locations in Marocco in August, including Essaouira where we stayed at a different location. This was not a nice experience and we felt cheated especially by the wrong information on the location. I would not have chosen a place so far away from the center of Essaouira. Never again."
