We were able to truly relax as the children played in the magical gardens, fed the wild tortoises, swam in the large heated pool (gated, thanks to our host’s kindness), and chatted endlessly with the unparalleled Oumlaid (housekeeper and chef) and beloved Ihmed (property manager and source of endless entertainment to our children). Oumlaid is a top-restaurant quality chef whose meals were so outstanding we wanted nothing else all holiday. And Ihmed’s considerate organising ensured we had a taxi with car seats available at any time to take us on daily adventures - Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki, and all the special little beach clubs along the coast were easily accessible within 10-15 minutes of empty roads. We won’t hesitate to hire a 4x4 next time as the driving is very straightforward!
