Excellent food service breakfast included in price. We booked a deluxe bungalow (no 1) so right alongside pool which was never too busy and you can cross the road to use beach facilities too. To note- lot of rooms on Gilli T offer beach facing bedrooms but really they are simply that, facing out toward beach side as there is a road between hotels and sea so you are never actually on the beach to see the ocean as set back and down hill slightly so don’t expect a sea view as such. Our room was spotless had a comfy bed superb double bathroom outside through door and staff were gr8. Free use of hotel bikes, better than having to use the poor horse and cart taxis in my view (that’s another story!) West side of island good for sunset but the beaches are not as nice very rocky with corals so bear that in mind as only 2 tides per day too"

The only hiccup was that one afternoon they decided to move a switch from the entrance to near the beds and had to refill a hole in the wall with some hastily applied, strong-smelling epoxy near our bed pillows! They tried to cover the smell with some incense sticks, but it was most likely not that healthy to sleep nearby. It might not be fair to mention specific names as all the staff were really lovely and helpful, but we need to mention “Dani” who provided extraordinary service. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and happy hour, as well as one evening with a fresh fish BBQ. The two pools in the middle were great when the tide made it a little tricky to avoid risking damage to the corals. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here if we ever return to Gili Meno. "

Seasons
Gili Air can be visited all year round as the climate remains warm and tropical throughout. Hot sunny days, clear blue skies, and crystalline calm sea can be enjoyed anytime of the year. The 'dry season' begins in April/May and breaks when the rains arrive in December. Rainy season is a favorite for some as the island becomes lush with fresh growth. Although grey skies can linger, the rain tends to be restricted to just a few hours each day, and is generally followed by clear sunny periods. During the rainy season the sea can sometimes get a little wilder and water visibility can drop. Rain or shine the island is always rich with nature's gifts.

Be Courteous of Local Customs
The stunning island of Gili Air has the largest local community (~1500 inhabitants) of all the Gili islands, which contributes to its unique character. Islam is practiced by most of the islands inhabitants and the call to prayer can often be heard from the mosque.
