Unfortunately during the transaction my card was stolen and when I arrived home found that the card had a charge of 200 euro from a money transfer company (same day and around the same time I was also paying for the parking online!!). Yesterday I had to file a claim with the bank. I now have to wait 2 weeks to see what happens. Not sure what the outcome will be as the transaction went through EVEN THOUGH I never authorized it. Lesson learned! This is the kind of service that I will never pay online again."

The chefs who were always on hand to help with multiple food intolerance issues and offered to make different things for me, Roberto the assistant manager was always walking around the whole hotel making sure everything was ok, always friendly and helpful and I saw him dealing calmly with a difficult issue. I also noticed that he would step in and help staff in any area if they were busy/customers waiting."

There was no restaurant, only bar meals available in what can only be described as the most soulless bar I have ever been in, effectively a large cafeteria type room, no ambience at all, no music, no comfy chairs, nothing. The room was small and basic, with a terrace that opened onto an open access garden area, so no privacy at all. There was no water provided in the room. Breakfast was in the "restaurant" , it was nothing special, more like a school cafeteria. Oh yes, the price ! for bed and breakfast for one night the rate was 431 euros, yes you read that correctly. Room spotless - perhaps slightly old-fashioned but that added to its charm. Bed much more comfortable than it looked - single long pillow seemed odd but didn't cause us any problems. Slightly odd bathroom layout with bidet close and opposite toilet made it tricky to find a comfortable sitting position. A few packs of shower gel provided, but no hand soap or shampoo (we decided to buy our own). Shower worked well. No kettle or hairdryer. But the price - so cheap! Read all of the above with this in mind. We've paid many times more for rooms nowhere near as clean or spacious, or well-located. Highly recommended."
