Bathroom was small and required that you step up into it. Bathroom reminded me of an airplane bathroom......only toilet inside...no sink. An elevator is available, but it is smaller than what we are used to in Canada....four adults with backpacks just barely fit in. Breakfast was ok "

The breakfast selection is wonderful and fresh, and there can be a takeaway bag, fork and cup with a lid if you are in a rush or want to eat on the go. the surroundings are a little far from the centre and train station (Lille-Europe & lille-flandres) which is something to be aware of, though there is a metro nearby, and there is another shopping centre not far from the property about a 7 minute walk, and there is a lovely dining restaurant (flunch) inside, which we went to everyday for dinner. there is also an Auchan downstairs in the shopping centre to get supplies from. As well as a pharmacy and other clothes/retail shops. It’s generally quiet and a good experience. Always a pleasure to visit France. Also the Lille Europe station is linked to a shopping centre which has a carrefour in it, about a 10-15 minute walk away so it’s perfect for getting last minute perishables and snacks to bring back with you on the Eurostar in a cool bag. We all got on well enough and they were very nice. A simple "good morning" in French is a appreciated and goes far in good will. The hotel is not so easy to locate-we drove in from Brussels. The parking lot was going through remodeling so we had to park on the side street-somewhat of an inconvenience-but not the fault of the hotel. The neighborhood is nice-we felt safe. The huge mall is withing walking distance and at Flunch you can get a good cup of coffee and dinner-all buffet. There is a large grocery store on the 2nd floor to purchase water-breakfast rolls, etc.. if you are on a budget. There is also a McDonald's close by. Note that on Sunday-everything closes early-we arrived late Sunday and only had that option to eat our dinner. Lillie is 3 hours from Paris and very close to WWI sites in Belgium. It is a good choice for the weary traveler who is interested in exploring the area, not having a luxury hotel experience. We also were able to connect to the Wi-Fi OK."
