On the island of Miyako, there are tourist prices and those for the locals, and the hotel charges 5,000 yen for a buffet dinner. Yikes. " - "We stayed for 3 nights in February at the end of a 2 week holiday, our first in Japan. We were lucky that the weather was lovely but everything about the hotel was wonderful. It is a beautiful location, our room was large, comfortable and quiet. We hadn't realised that being off season, the pool and some of the restaurants would not be open but there was still a reasonable choice of places to eat on site and the beach is very close. We hired ebikes to explore the vicinity. The shops on site were great and the convenience store very reasonably priced."

- "We stayed in the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights in a premiere pool villa for my birthday weekend. Our stay was absolutely perfect. They provided a free shuttle from and to the airport. The staff were also able to communicate in good English and were very polite and accommodating. My fiance was able to surprise me in my room with the help from hotel staff. As for the food, we dined in the Western restaurant (Beach House Restaurant KISSHO). The menu changed slighty every day and they were all very good. They had a good variety of dishes. One chef in particular, Mutty, was very nice and friendly and made us feel at home. They were able to make me a cake (for a fee) and sang me happy birthday in the restaurant. They definitely made me feel special on my birthday :) Our room was also amazing. We had our own private pool and our villa was very spacious. There were some insects in the pool, but that's to be expected when you're in nature. Also, as long as you turn off the lights during the night, there would hardly be any bugs in the pool, which you can also clean with a small net. Everything else in the room was perfect and I honestly could not think of anything that could have been better. Overall, I would definitely book Seawood Hotel again when I come back to Miyakojima."

There were sand and long hair in the towel rack (black basket ) that was located under the sink. Shower room and bathroom were clean. - "The Wi-Fi was excellent, never lost it and always a strong signal. The breakfast was Japanese style but had eggs, rolls, and fruit for those who might want some American food. The rooms are big we had a tatami room too. Couple of issues, the bathroom is very small, almost claustrophobic in a sense, specially when using the toilet for sitting. The beds are very firm, we slept okay but some folks might not be able to deal with a firm mattress. All in all, for a night or two, I have no problem with staying here, more than two nights wouldn’t cut it. And it would help if you spoke Japanese, pretty much no one speaks English it appears the hotel caters to Japanese people who might want to use the Onsen or hot baths."
