Breakfast and the evening meal both satisfying. The room was comfortable and well stocked with all facilities available to enhance our stay. The hotel is set in its own grounds but within short travelling distance of local beaches, Edinburgh city centre and other local attractions. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. "

- "Very quiet. Close to rail" - "My main concern was that the HVAC system was not working well. We were in a bit of a heat wave and the AC was not working very well. Both the quantity & quality of air. Love that the train station was literally across the street." - "Older hotel. Room had a bad smell. In general the hotel can be cleaner and needs an upgrade. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. The location is a 5-minute walk to the train station. The train is a 10-minute ride to the Edinburgh Waverly station which is at the heart of the city."

- "The property was very clean and conveniently attached to a restaurant/bar. The staff were AMAZING! The young lady at the reception desk was full of smiles and let us borrow a uk plug for our chargers! We only brought America plugs! Also, Sara Jean in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel very welcome and gave us some good advice for what to do in York! It was such a great experience! I recommend if you’re looking for a quiet spot out in the country! "
