- "This establishment is very tastefully decorated and it gave me a very nice impression just walking in the door. I had a single room, which was the size of some double rooms I have had in other parts of Europe. Everything was very clean and in good working order. I could not spot anything that looked worn or tired. All of the staff I came in contact with were extremely friendly and attentive. This Hotel stands out to me as a place that is a quiet and restful retreat from the city. The area lends itself well to peaceful walks or bicycle riding. I have traveled to the continent approximately 30 times in the last 20 years. In comparing my other experiences with Hotel restaurant Rozenhof, there was only one other that made me feel so very satisfied with everything about my stay. And just to add, I was not able to eat dinner there because of my schedule, but the traditional (I think) Breakfast was very very tasty. I hope to visit again and bring my wife sometime soon."

The space
The room cozy is one cozy double room with double bed (of which you can't make two single beds so please keep it especially cozy with your partner J). On this room, we have just done our best in terms of cosiness. So we understand if you guys stay in the room. But, it's also very cozy downstairs, so come and have a drink. We think it's super cozy!

Other things to note
In line with the measures, we kindly ask all our guests to stay at home in case of any fever or cold symptoms! Do not come to our hotel/restaurant, but please check with us by email or phone. We can move your reservation to another date free of charge, regardless of the terms under which it was made.

You can check in with us from 2pm to 11pm. If you arrive earlier, you can of course store your belongings with us and who knows, we may have your room available earlier. If you expect to arrive later than 11 p.m., that is also no problem, but please inform us in advance. Upon check-in, you will receive your room card from us, which also allows you to enter our hotel at night via the night entrance on the side of the hotel.

Should your overnight stay unexpectedly not be able to continue, you can cancel free of charge up to 1 day in advance. In all other cases, the full amount will be charged.

Smoking is prohibited throughout our hotel, and we kindly ask you to respect this ban. If we find that smoking has occurred, a fine of €100,- will be imposed, as well as any ‘deep clean’ costs of €150,-. In the event of sabotage of our fire alarm system (e.g. masking a smoke detector), the fine will be increased by €275. If the fire alarm also goes off as a result, the call-out costs of the fire department will also be charged to you.

We assume that our guests will take each other into account. However, if there is any inconvenience caused to another person by means of loud music, unpleasant behaviour or noise of any kind, and/or failure to follow the instructions of our staff, we reserve the right to impose a fine of €150.

Local tips
Of course We hope that you have a wonderful stay in Nijmegen! To help you get started, we've put our personal favorites into the TV system in your hotel room. For example, take a city walk along the Grote Markt, the imposing Stevenskerk and the Lange Hezelstraat (the oldest shopping street in the Netherlands!), and end it tastefully with a Heavenly beer tasting of local beers at the city brewery and restaurant De Hemel.

De Gulden Waagen is situated in a monumental building in the historical city centre of Nijmegen. It features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi.

De Bronzen Koets are rooms in a dependance building in the street.

All rooms are different but all got a AC to heat and cool. A smartTV and a private bathroom with a toilet and walk-in shower. You will find a refrigerator and coffee/tea making facilities in all rooms. De Gulden Waagen has got a Elevator.

The space
All check ins will be at De Gulden Waagen at Lange Hezelstraat 75A, Nijmegen, Netherlands. We are situated at the car-free shopping area of Nijmegen.

Other things to note
With your keycard you can enter the front door and your room. We are heating and cooling with the airconditioning units in the rooms.
