- "I traveled here back in 2023 and my stay at Haarhuis was quite lovely, albeit smaller rooms than I'm used to, but such is the European/Netherlands way (they all have smaller rooms.) I recently traveled back here (2024) for Qlimax (a music event) and since I had a great experience the last time, I figured I would book at Haarhuis again. Now, let me say that Haarhuis is a bit pricier, but that's to be expected as this carries itself as a luxury hotel and does a great job at such. The rooms are fantastic and well designed in an upscale luxury manner, the breakfast/restaurant is quaint and nice, the staff are beyond excellent, and the decor is just wonderful. What surprised me most is that I was BLOWN away with my recent room, which I did not think was possible. This time I arrived to get a room on the first floor (123) and was pleasantly surprised to see I not only had a roof deck with 2 pool lounge chairs, but I had a traditional SAUNA that could fit 2-4 people. It was a lovely surprise and worked excellent. Everytime I come here, they constantly out perform themselves. I can't say enough good things about Haarhuis, especially as it's a short walk across the street to Arnhem Centraal, so getting anywhere from the hotel is extremely easy. If you love sushi, Silk directly across the street is amazing as well, but just make sure you book reservation early on. Tot Ziens Haarhuis! See you next year!"

Without a car or bike there are not a lot of dining options nearby though Uber Eats does deliver. The room was clean and comfortable though strangely decorated with a shower stall in the room. Internet was reliable and the staff was fluent in English and very helpful when I needed it. It is convenient to the train station with an easy walk. "

" - "Very pleasant " - "Absolutely wonderful staff and service was outstanding breakfast and evening meals all 5*+ " - "The pillows were clearly horrible, square like the ones you put on a couch. The bedding was too small for the single beds. Even when you order a double bed room you get two single beds. There are no King size nor even queen size beds, just singles either solo, apart or together. The restaurant was empty at 6PM but when I wanted to dine there with my family we were refused and told to make a reservation with an earliest option of 8 PM! So we were forced to eat elsewhere. Pathetic! I needed an early checkout to travel to the airport so I settled my bills the night before, but was then told I still had to get to the front office in the morning to hand in the blanc key card. I couldn't just leave it in the room. When I came there at 5:30 the doors were locked and I had to wait for the night guard to arrive to hand the card to. Since it was winder the outside furniture and facilities are not kept up and are lying there in a state of derelict, where you'd be afraid to touch them, let alone walk, sit or play there. I am sure it'll be nice in summer, but it's only summer a few months a year in the Netherlands. There are still plenty of nice days the rest of the year, but they cannot be spent there."

Hotel largely caters for business people but this should not turn tourists off. We were given great service by staff and the hotel has a nice bar area and restaurant where we had excellent Dutch style buffet breakfasts and the occasional dinner as well. The hotel and the restaurant are reasonably priced by Dutch standards. The room was large and airy and comfortable and clean. Do not expect facilities like a pool or entertainment for children as the hotel caters for business people largely. However, our age group being the over 50's will find it most suitable and comfortable with free parking on site and free Wi-Fi, a lovely outdoor terrace where we enjoyed some breakfasts and dinners when the weather was nice. Easy access to local attractions and on occasion we left the car at the hotel and walked the short distance to the local bus stop where we caught the bus into Arnhem central, only 15 minutes drive away, to enjoy the shops and markets. The staff were very helpful and as we stayed 10 nights, they got to know us a little and we enjoyed a personal service from many of them. We recommend the hotel highly and will probably try one of the other Postillion hotels in the chain, of which I believe, there are 5 in Holland. Great holiday at a great price."

In 1955, the artist G. Rietveld gained world fame with his pavilion during the 3rd edition of the exhibition. Today, its creation stands in the museum's garden. Not only will you find beautiful photo wallpaper in this stay with the Sonsbeekpark and the Rietveld pavilion, but also furniture and a lamp from his hand!
