Alternatively, you can take a short train ride from the Central Station Arnhem to Arnhem-Velperpoort (2 min by train) and 7 min walk from the train station to the house.

Many of our guests are couples, sometimes with a dog, who want to combine the tranquility of the park with hiking or cycling through the vast forests. But even with young children, the house and its surroundings offer a wonderfully relaxing experience.

A stay in this beautiful, thatched, single-level holiday home is a true experience. The house, Sprielderbosch “De Zonnehoed”, is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. One of the terraces is covered and features an electric heater. On the other terrace, you can sit in the shade of tall oak trees or enjoy the sun. A hammock also invites you to relax. In the master bedroom, you'll find a wonderfully sprung AVEK box spring bed.

The name “Zonnehoed” refers to the beautiful thatched roof that extends over both the house and the covered terrace. It also refers to the yellow (rudbeckia) and purple (echinacea) flowers that bloom in the garden.

This is the only four-person, single-level house located on the northern edge of the park, offering unobstructed views of the adjacent grasslands and surrounding forests. It also sits on one of the largest plots (760 m²).

The Veluwe is one of the most beautiful nature areas in the Netherlands. If you search for “most beautiful forests”, you’ll often be directed to the Speulder- and Sprielderbos, where this park is located and from which it takes its name. From the park, you can walk straight into the woods, known for their crooked beech trees (the ‘dancing’ trees) and the great diversity of wildlife. And if you get tired of walking, you can relax indoors with beautiful photo books about the Veluwe, watch the DVD “Wild – Colorful Families in the Veluwe”, or play a board game.

Your pet is very welcome; the garden is enclosed (60 cm high) so your pet can’t easily wander off.

The private parking space (for two cars) at the house includes an 11 kW charging station for electric cars, allowing you to charge your vehicle at the house using your own charging card.

For a fun day out with the family, you can visit Dolfinarium Harderwijk or Julianatoren amusement park, both about a 30-minute drive away.

Summer tip: Discover the Veluwe by boat as well. Various boat tours depart from Harderwijk.

Putten has a train station, and the bus takes you to about a 10-minute walk from the bungalow.

- "The property is very cute. Communication goes very well and instructions are clear. It has all that you need. Only one small mishap was the fact that the fence is too low. We had two middle size dogs that were able to jump over the fence and escaped. The idea was to let them free in the garden without worry. This wasn't the case. We asked upfront if the fence was complete and indicated the size of the dogs. If we were informed upfront that it's up the the knees we would have taken another options"

It's a small room from about 3 by 2,5m, but with the necesary equipment like:

The room is on the first floor, the most right door.
The street is already very calm but at this side of the house it is even calmer.
The toilet down stairs and the bath room with the second toilet on the 1st floor are shared with about 3 others.

The house is a normal Dutch family house in a calm village next to the first national park of the Netherlands, the Veluwe.
the room that can be rented is a small room but practical and private.

The monitor can also be used as external dispaly for a computer if you have the right cable.

Note:
It's stricktly forbidden to open the door to the balcony or go on the balcony. Only putting the door in tillting mode is allowed for fresh air.

I'll share the details about the key box which makes it possible to arrive whenever is convieniend for your stay. As long as it's not disturbing the other with noise between 22:00 and 07:00.

If there are questions about entering the house always call me (the Host Bram Ottenhof), and preferably don't ring the bell as there is a chance I'm not home.

Details of the house:
On the ground floor it's all private, except from the toilet in the hallway next to the entrance. The private rooms should also not be disturbed, if there is a question, sent me a message.

First floor, the room as described (right door) and the bathroom are allowed to use, the rest is private and should not be disturbed.

Second floor, the washing machine, vacuum cleaner and dryer are on the second floor. and can be used, washing liquid is not included and should be brought by yourself. The rest of the second floor is private.

During your stay
You can always call me, doesn't matter what time it is. What sAp or Tel gram are also fine, or just the Airbnb messanger.

Other things to note
Unfortunatelly it's not allowed to go on the balcony.
Smoking in the house, outside on the property or in front of the house or the house of the direct noughbours is not allowed.

And the room is not wheelchair accessible. You have to be able to go up a staircase to get in the room on the first floor.
And also because it's a high sleeper, be able to climb a ladder to get in the bed as seen on the pictures.

The dishes can be done in the sink in the shared bathroom. That is also the only place where to get warm and cold water. There is no sink in the room.

The fresh bedsheets will be laying folded in the room for you. You have to make the bed yourself. The sheets are laying on the bed or in the closet opposit of the bed.

The room is on the first floor where you also find the bathroom. There is a toilet in the bathroom. You can use the living room and the terrace when I’m at work.
The highlights of Oosterbeek are numerous: the most important time of year is the month of September when we celebrate the end of World War II with hundreds of veterans from all over the world by walking the same route that the soldiers did when they tried to free Europe (www.airbornewandeltocht.nl). Then there is the Airborne Museum in town (www.airbornemuseum.nl) and the Kröller Müller Museum in the woods nearby (www.kmm.nl). We also have one of the finest zoo’s (www.burgerszoo.nl) and the Netherlands Open Air Museum (www.openluchtmuseum.nl) where you can learn about Dutch history.
You can get to the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen by train or car within half an hour to enjoy all museums, theatres, cinema’s etc. (www.vvvarnhemnijmegen.nl).
You can go walking or cycling all around the village in the woods, along the river Rijn and to the Posbank (www.veluwetransferiumposbank.nl).
But mainly it’s a place to rest and relax and enjoy a bit of Dutch countryside without missing out on some entertainment completely.

A cozy room for students or travelers, on the second floor of a cozy house. The room has a Window with a wiew to the front of the house. The room has a single bed, a closet a dresser with drawers a lamp, the room is carpeted, so you have to leave your shoes on the hallway. The shower is next to the room, and the toilet is downstairs.

You can use the Kitchen if needed. or the Microwave and the Fridge are also for you available. For longer stays you can use the washmaschine once a week for a cost of 3€ per wash. You need to buy your own Wash Gel.

Also I travel sometimes to Germany, so you will be on your own at home if you are staying longer time.

You'll be renting a typical Dutch family home in Ede, with 2 bedrooms, private parking space and free NETFLIX. Near shops and the railway station (10 min walk) and the forest 'Veluwe' (2 min walk) It takes only 1 hour by car or train to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or The Hague and only 30 minutes to Utrecht. It's the perfect place for a family liking long walks and sightseeing.
It's 5 min walk to De Reehorst and CHE Ede and 30 min by bicycle to Wageningen.

The space
This is a typical Dutch family home. The kitchen has an oven, fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Kitchen utensils, cooking pots, plates and glasses are also available for use. There's a washing machine and a dryer you may use, detergent is provided. Towels are provided and if needed an extra matrass can be put on the floor of one of the bedrooms for a small additional fee.
Note: There are some personal items in the living room, so I expect you to be careful with my stuff.

Cosy and comfortable bungalow for two persons with private garden close to the forest. Nice routes for biking and walking in the neighbourhood. The house is located about 4km from the town center of Putten, in the center of the Netherlands.

There are several nice eateries nearby and supermarkets are in walking distance as well.

I live in a calm neighbourhood and also have 2 other guests. I therefore only accept guests who are quiet and tidy and have positive reviews.
