Our house is idyllic and quiet, yet very central in Mainz-Kostheim.
They live in the historic and oldest part of Mainz-Kostheim, one of the oldest wine-growing communities in the Rheingau. Here the Main flows into the Rhine

Partly from the 19th Century-old, lovingly redesigned holiday home renovated until 2016 is located in a very quiet area, protected by Kostheim's landmark, the Catholic Church of St. Kilian. It is only a few steps to the Main and the Maaraue recreation area.

From the terrace of your holiday home you not only have a wonderful view of the tree tops of the neighboring linden trees, but also of the St. Kilian church and the adjacent historic church wall, part of which forms the outer wall of your holiday home.

The house can accommodate up to 5 people.
The 65 square meter interior of the house is divided on 2 levels.

The ground floor offers a 24 sqm living room with a separate dining room, a daylight bathroom with a spacious shower and a cloakroom.
The couch in the living room can be used as a double bed (1.80 mx 2.00 m) and offers 2 other guests a very comfortable place to sleep by placing a memory topper.
An air bed with topper can also be set up in the dining room.

On the upper floor is the bedroom with a double bed (1.80 mx 2.00 m) and a fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook to your heart's content. Via the kitchen you reach the 11 sqm covered balcony, where you can see the church of St. Kilian and the Mediterranean-style courtyard of the property can sit comfortably and enjoy the tranquility with a glass of wine.

In the immediate vicinity of the holiday home there are public transport links with which you can get to Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt.
You can reach Mainz city center by bus within 12 minutes without changing trains. To the train stations Mainz-Kastel and Gustavsburg with their S-Bahn connections to u. a. Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Frankfurt Airport are only 5 minutes away by bus. An S-Bahn ride to Frankfurt Airport takes 25 minutes, to Wiesbaden only 8 minutes.
But the area can also be easily traveled by car due to the close connections.
You can also explore our beautiful landscape by bike, several bike routes lead past Mainz-Kostheim. There is a public bike rental station about 100 meters away.

A bakery with coffee is less than a minute's walk from your holiday home, where you can also get fresh bread on Sundays. Several supermarkets can be reached on foot, by bus or by car in the shortest possible time.
You can buy wine from the Kostheim winegrowers on site, thus directly from the producer. The Kostheim wine tasting stand on the banks of the Main is open on weekends from May to August.

In the immediate vicinity of your holiday home there are numerous wine bars, taverns, taverns as well as restaurants and ice cream parlors, many within walking distance should you ever feel like cooking.

With an award-winning architect, the monument office and a restorer, we restored everything in detail as it did in the 18th Century. Of course there is heating, bathrooms and WiFi from 2016 today. - "Overall it was fantastic to stay in a part of history, and even with renovations they kept the essence of the building and community. The kitchen, and bathroom was fantastic!! Bedrooms were a good size and had good lighting and windows for breeze. The only thing I would see doing is downstairs having a larger sofa that turns into a bed might be a great option. Partly because since the stairs are original, not everyone can make it up and down safely. This could make that room into a living room suite, its big enough for a queen size sofa bed with all the furniture still in there. The downstairs WC was a nice edition so not having to go upstairs unnecessarily. And the courtyard was fantastic to have, for breakfast and dinners without being in a public space. Also the laundry was a blessing because we were there for over two weeks, so keeping things clean was a must. The host family was gracious and welcoming, never once was there any issue with anything!! The location was fantastic, parking was not hard at all, the village was easy to navigate once driving a few times and walks were fantastic in the evenings. Overall I’m definitely saving the place for consideration for my next trip to Germany!!"

The bakery is 500m, a kiosk 400m and a restaurant 250m away. To gas station drive for about 1 minute and the supermarket about 2 minutes by car. The connection to the freeway 66 Frankfurt / Rudesheim and the 643 direction Mainz is very good (about 3 min.). The investor for Navigation on the Rhine has been reached in 5 minutes by car. From Central Station you may very well come to the Frankfurt airport (about 40 min. S-Bahn, 25 min. Car). Frankfurt is about 10 minutes longer.

The space
Room with separate entrance on the first floor with a double bed max. 2 people. Once again, the note that I live with a dog and a cat. The room is off-limits to the animals, but the rest of the house and the yard are not.

Other things to note
A tourist tax of €5 per person per day is payable to the city of Wiesbaden for all guests, including business travelers, etc. This will be charged directly by Airbnb. For long-term stays, this rule applies to the first 30 days. Additional days will be refunded by the city. For multiple stays in Wiesbaden (proof must be provided), everything that exceeds a total of 30 days will also be refunded. Dog and cat in the house. If you cannot have animals around you or are allergic to animals, you should take note of this.

We offer a guest room (2nd person on request) in a townhouse.
On the ground floor there is a guest toilet, a kitchen with a dining room as well as a living room. This floor is intended for common use.
On the 1st floor is the nicely furnished guest room, which has a sofa bed (lying area 1.40 m x 2.00 m). One of the residents also has their room at this level. The large daylight bathroom with shower and tub is intended for shared use.

The space
On the 2nd floor there is another daylight bath, but only with shower. On this level, the second resident has her empire.
Our guests should not have a cat allergy, because the household still includes three cats that stay throughout the house.
We are looking forward to guests who are on vacation in the Rhine-Main area and do not necessarily want to stay in the city. The house is located in Nordenstadt, in a very quiet location. The bus connection to Wiesbaden is good. You can also get to Mainz, Frankfurt, Hofheim with the "public".
But also those who have to do business in the region are welcome. Nordenstadt is located very conveniently located between Wiesaden city center and Frankfurt Rhine-Main Airport. Whether to the trade fair to Wiesbaden or to Frankfurt: from Nordenstadt, there is no problem.

Guest access
The entire ground floor is intended for shared use: in the evening can be cooked and eaten together if the guests want it.

During your stay
If we no longer have appointments in the evening, we are very happy to sit together while eating and a nice glass of wine and exchange ideas. We welcome our guests to join us, you get to know each other a little better. We are also happy to give tips for leisure, restaurants, etc.

My appartmant is very close to the main Wiesbaden train Station. The nice room for two people with the attached private bathroom is in the appartment in the quiet street, but with all the convenience of living in a big city. Very easy to reach down town, airport or Mainz.
