Only down side is the beds - 2 double beds (1 in each bedroom) and the double sofa bed (the only sofa in the place) - we are a family of 5 so 2 of our teenagers had to share a double bed - such a shame given the massive space available. We often stay in places marketed as for more people to get the space. If this place was mine I'd add another table in the kitchen (there's plenty of room for one) and 2 more sofa beds and you could market this place as sleeping 10, making it very comfortable for 6 or 7."

However, for the duration of our five-night stay, nothing happened. We got some e-mails saying that they were doing everything they could to sort it out, but again, no one showed up and fixed the issues. This place needs to step up on their maintenance to live up to its potential. Not sure about the emergency exit regulations in Belgium, but to open the emergency exit, you needed to unlock two separate locks with your key in a manner that did not make us feel very safe. "

The property would need to be refurbished, there is a very strong and awful smell in the staircase up to the flats and the our shower did not have a curtain so the bathroom was quite mouldy. The location is really nice, walkable, close to a lot of restaurants and shops and the cathedral. Even though the apartment is in a busy area of town, it is quiet in the building. The only thing to be wary of is that the entrance to the building might be hard to navigate for handicapped people and baby strollers, and the hallway smells very strongly of cigarette smoke, but you cannot smell it at all from inside the apartment. Not even a hint. I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Liège!"

The apartment
The apartment has one bedroom that can accommodate 2 people. The accommodation was completely renovated at the end of 2018 and has been tastefully furnished by a talented decorator. The bathroom is in the center of the two attic areas: on the left the kitchen and living room area, on the right the double bedroom. Both parts are very bright thanks to the huge skylights in each room.
Access
Located on the 4th floor, you can access the 3rd floor with the elevator then the last one by the stairs.
The neighborhood
The street is pedestrian.
The location of the apartment is perfect! As its name suggests, it is located next to Cathedral Square, the center of shopping streets, the city's best restaurants and bars and cinemas. It is also halfway between the Royal Opera and the Théâtre de Liège. A gym is also available in the area.
You won't have to run far to find a supermarket (Carrefour Express), a bakery (you'll become like me: addicted to Stoffels!), a bookstore, an excellent fruit and vegetable seller (les Halles), a superb Chinese restaurant (the Shanghai), the Darius to have a delicious breakfast and great bars (“Au tableau qui dit des bêtises”, the Pot au Lait,…).In short, you won't be bored because I'm only listing half a quarter of the good addresses in the neighborhood here!
