Our room was large enough for 3 adults, the kitchen was very well equipped. The breakfast was nice with many options but at $16.50 Euro we passed on that many days. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. very friendly and very helpful. one of them spend 1/2 hour with me trying to work out new years eve transportation logistics when the public transport was shut down. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not need to be close to the city center or who does not mind a 20 minute ride to center. not recommended for people who need frequent access to their room during the day. - "The front desk reception was very helpful. We were provided with a map and several recommended public transportation lines to get to museums and tourist destinations. The location is in a residential neighborhood, not quite as busy as downtown. The area is scenic, water is on either side of Oostenburgergracht. There are groceries within walking distance, a bus stop just in front of the hotel and a tram within a few minutes walking distance. Central station was 10-15 minutes by bus and Rijksmuseum was easily accessible by tram. "

- "The apartment are spacious, clean and include all that is required for self catering. The coffee machine was very useful. There is a supermarket within easy walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the location ideal for visiting the various tourist attractions. We walked everywhere but there is a bus/tram stop a few minutes walk from the apartment. Check-in was easy and the receptionist very knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged a free taxi to take us from the check-in desk to the actual apartment which was just a few minutes ride away. This was very much appreciated after a long journey. We had a ground floor apartment with the lounge window overlooking the canal. I would recommend these apartments. "

- "Best" - "Awesome place " - "We were switched to this property when our original hotel cancelled, a week before we were supposed to travel. This turned out to be a very positive change! This space was large, clean, bright and comfortable. I loved having a kitchen to make coffee and easy breakfasts. The Albert Heijn grocery store was a five minute walk away and was open til 10:00 for easy meal and snack options. I do wish there had been written instructions on how to work the stove and oven as the symbols were new to me and it took a bit of google searching. A few reviews have complained about the stairs, but this was completely normal for Amsterdam and really no big deal once we got our luggage up! We were walking distance to the shopping district, Artis (zoo) and many other attractions. The subway was also right there so easy to catch a train on days when we had done a little too much walking or it was raining. There was a small issue with shower drain no working properly when we arrived but someone came to check it out right away and while it wasn't fixed while we were there, they did bring us LOTS of extra towels to help with the overflow. The rooms with the double bed and the murphy bed were perfect. The room with the two twin beds was TINY and had no real windows so it got a little stuffy - something to keep in mind depending on who will be sleeping where. The thermostat was very responsive so it was easy to manage overall temperatures as the weather changed quite a bit during our week-long stay. "

The location was great. They should probably list that there are 47 steps to reach the flat. - "We arrived super early — 7am to be exact. Almost 8 hours before we were able to check in. I was exhausted from the flight & taken back how much the cab ride was from the airport to the hotel — so the hotel staff letting us know we can check in early AND we would receive a free cab ride to the apartments was music to my ears. We had the 3rd floor apartment — we are pretty fit 30 year old males so the stairs weren’t too much of a problem for us but I totally understand why people are having issues with them. The apartment was incredibly spacious. The pictures don’t do it justice when it comes to the size. The location is absolutely amazing. We were in short walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do. Every morning we opened up the windows and had tea at the table overlooking the canal. Breathtaking! We did discover we had a housemate the 2nd night. We woke up and there were several bites taken out of one of our space cakes. We found this more humorous than bothersome. We would 1000% stay here again. If you are considering — DO IT"

Our light and spacious bedroom is looking out over IJburgs recent experimental architecture. With the tram you're traveling to the city centre in about 15 min. At the end of our block there is option to swim in IJ, Amsterdams river.

Our neighborhood is quiet, with lot's of children.

The space
The room is quite big and light. It has a double bed and a sofa. The entrance to the bathroom is in the room, with sink, toilet and warm shower. The atmosphere is warm with the wooden floor and has a wide view over the recent architecture from the neighborhood.

We live in the house, so there are plenty of possibilities to help you find your way in the house or in the surroundings.
Although we work at different times. We like to be at home as well.

Less than an hour from Amsterdam. We live in a large free standing house and rent out 3 cozy bedrooms. Feel free to use anything in the house: living room, dining room or kitchen. Yard with terrace for BBQ. Close to bus and train. Can use our bicycles and laundry machine, iron board etc. Quiet, safe neighborhood.

The space
You'll have a cozy room with a desk for study, a bed, a comfortable chair and some bookshelves. They used to be the rooms of our sons.
Feel free to use anything in the house (piano, laundry, whatever).
You share the bathroom with the other two guests. Please keep it clean, because we don't clean it very often. Our family uses the bedroom and bathroom downstairs.

Other things to note
For 12 euro per day you can eat with us, and we do the shopping, so you can concentrate on your study or work. Most guests take advantage of that and we all eat dinner together. Sisi is a very good cook.

The space
Sunny rooftop studio in a family home with wood floor, two big windows and a light bathroom. Has just been renovated (2016!) and everything is new! It's a cozy space and easily the most beautiful room of the house. A quiet little island in the busy city - here you can relax. Please bear in mind that this is a family home in a family neighborhood where the walls are rather thin - we value our sleep at night, and we are happy if you are considerate when you return late ... :-)

Room on the top floor (the whole floor is yours), stairs are rather steep (as they are almost everywhere in Amsterdam)... There is no possibility for cooking but there are facilities that allow you to prepare a cold meal or eat take-away food.

Once you've checked in and seen everything we will absolutely respect your privacy. We're always available though if you have requests or need some tips, or a little chat.

Other things to note
I will provide breakfast on your first morning, with plenty of choice to last you longer (see pictures)... There's a fridge and a Nespresso machine and a water boiler for all the following mornings.

Quiet room located in Amsterdam west. Bus 21 stops in front of the door and takes you to the city center of Amsterdam within 10 minutes. You can store your luggage at the Airbnb before check-in. If that is not possible, there are lockers at Amsterdam central station where the luggage can be stored for a small amount.

It is a clean room and a nice place to stay. The room has a nice double bed. Towels are provided in the room and bathrobes are available upon request. The room has a table and two chairs so it is also a nice place to work on the laptop. A hairdryer is available in the bathroom.

The space
Congratulations, you just found the right place to stay and relax for only a fraction of the regular price you pay for a space in Amsterdam!

Note that I live in the same house, the space is a part of my house. There is a shared entrance. As the accommodation has a surface of an average apartment, has multiple rooms and private facilities like toilet, bath and kitchen it could when it comes to surface be advertised as a house instead of a room.

I offer you the whole groundfloor of 50 m2 which exists of the gardenroom/bedroom with 32 inch smart tv (no cable, you need Netflix or can watch YouTube etc,) , a private garden, a bath which has a retractable shower (no shower curtain, you ll need to sit when showering) and a private toilet with a little washing stand. The other room on the groundlevel has a simple kitchenette.

Because it is a groundfloor, there is no need to take any stairs, therefore the accomodation is very easy accessible.

Another benefit is that you can park your car for free in the street and there is always enough parkingspace around, so no more parkingstress.

The kitchenette exists of a refrigerator, freezer and 2 plates to cook (no extractor hood). There’s a microwave, kettle and Nespresso available + several foodcorners + supermarket on walking distance.

I’m a bad cook. However on request I might make you a (vegetarian) dinner for a reasonable price.

Guest access
You`ll have the whole ground floor for yourself, I’m only downstairs when entering or leaving the house. You get keys to enter the house, so when checked in, you can enter and leave at any time again.

During your stay
I live in the 2 levels upfront, often away.

Don't be afraid, I won't bother you with questions and chit-chat, unless you want me to.

Other things to note
To avoid miscommunication I prefer guests who talk at least sufficient English or Dutch.

Note that the jacuzzi as seen on the pictures is out of use for the moment. However you can enjoy a bath or shower.

Although the space is known as a little paradise, smoking (this includes the garden), candles and use of any drugs is forbidden.

The house is located in a peacefull neigbourhood on walking distance from the centre of Zaandam (right next to Amsterdam), where you'll find alot of cafe's and restaurants and you can take a 12 minute direct train to Amsterdam Central.

There is a bike that you can use for free, you can also choose to ride the bike to the centre of Amsterdam in about 40 minutes.

The world famous Zaanse Schans, a free open air museum with traditional wooden windmills and houses, is only a short bike ride away!

The space
My beautiful 1930's home is fully renovated. We demolished the entire second floor and rebuild it from scratch, keeping some original details. The house is eclecticly decorated with some unique antique pieces from India in combination with some more contemporary furniture and some nice large plants.

I kept a nice balance between minimalism, allowing room for flow and conveniance, and great design for a cozy environment.

Downstairs you'll find the livingroom with large sofa and dining table, along with the kitchen and toilet. Your bedroom and the shared bathroom is upstairs.

At the front of the house there is a small garden where you can enjoy a book in the sun, or smoke something if you prefer. There is also a patio in the back of the house where you can chill in summer when it's too hot, cause there is alot of nice shade there.

You'll have acces to all the rooms in the house, except the downstair bedroom behind the kitchen, wich is my own bedroom.

During your stay
My interaction with my guests varies a lot. I had guest that I hang out with a lot, and guest that I did not see at all because I was out. I run a small business so am very busy, but enjoy my free time. I respect my guest privacy, but am always up for a drink and a chat.

Built in 2017, the suite is an independent space in a good location just out of the capital city but with easy access by car or public transport. Stylish room with a nice view on Disteldorp, a cosy ‘village’ in Amsterdam. Here you are in the calm area of Amsterdam-Noord (North) , only 10 minutes walk to the city centre. You can stay here alone or with a friend. One bed is in the attic, which you reach by stairs in your room. There is a desk and a chair to relax in. The height of the room gives it a spacious feel. Another bed is placed downstairs in the room when you book the room for 2.

The space
My house is in Amsterdam-Noord, in a very sweet monumental area. It is located super close to the Ferry to the city centre as well as the underground and Central Station, yet it is a very green area where it is easy to relax.

We share the bathroom, kitchen, toilet and garden. The living room is an open space with the kitchen. To secure my privacy, I request you to return to your room after using the kitchen and having breakfast or diner (or of course you go out and have fun in the city...)! I very much enjoy having a tea or coffee together!

During your stay
I live in the house where you stay. I enjoy chatting and having a tea or coffee together. I work at home a lot.

Please note that the stairs in the house are steep. You’ll also meet my cat Mozes when you come to stay.
