This newly refurbished apartment is in the captain's quarters Ämsterdam Houthavens "of the freighter. It is a cozy, romantic and comfortable. The lounge in the captain's steering cabin above deck offers a beautifull 360 view of the old Amsterdam Houthavens (lumber harbor), the IJ (the main water way to the harbor) and the city. The space
This unique houseboat is located at a small island near all the famous tourist attractions (such as the Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam city centre). Due to the central location and nearness of a train station, the houseboat is an excellent start to explore the area.

The houseboat is very spacious and bright (6 people can stay here very comfortably), has a very large and sunny garden and a sunny floating terrace (both private).

There is a beautiful nature conservation area close by (at only 2 minutes walking distance, which is also accessible by boat or canoe).

Enjoying your holiday at this houseboat will be a truly unique experience! We are sure that you will be very comfortable and will feel at home when you stay here!

Guest access
The houseboat has a large and sunny living room. It has large windows on either side, which provide a view to the private garden on one side, and the canal on the other.

The spacious and fully equipped kitchen (including a dish washer) adjoins the living room. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is located downstairs (which is below the water level, a unique experience in itself). The second bedroom is located upstairs, and is a bright and comfortable room with a view on the canal. The third bedroom has a lovely view at the garden, and a door which leads to the floating terrace. There are 2 double beds and 2 single beds present. If needed, a third single bed can be arranged for (if so, please contact me before you make your reservation).

You can enjoy a private bathroom with a luxurious shower (steam bath, water jets, etc.). There is also a separate toilet.

There are a washing and drying machine available.
A large TV (42 inch) and free WIFI are available.

A unique waterloft located in a beautiful marina on the Westeinderplassen. The water loft has all modern conveniences and a modern and luxurious finish.

The water'loft has a spacious living room with dining area, kitchen island and a nice sitting area with luxury TV. There is also an excellent screen door in the sliding door against mosquitoes and insects. From April to October you can enjoy an outdoor terrace with seating area on the decking. Through the corridor with separate toilet, you enter the sleeping quarters. There are two sleeping arrangements (1 King-size bed and 1 Queen-size bed) and an open bathroom. The beds are out of sight of each other but they are not two separate rooms.

- "Beautiful 2-level space located within the bow of the family home (a small ship). One’s quarters are completely separate from the vessel’s full time occupants. The space is modern and clean, with wide open views over the river IJ. I biked there, multiple times back and forth to the city center. Pleasantly located away from the crowds, but an easy bike to the Central Station and main Canal Districts. Bike rack just onshore. Guest must be able to navigate spiral staircase connecting upper & lower level, accept the subtle movement of the vessel, and be happy to warm the space as needed with the space heater provided, which worked very well to make a comfy space on the water. Suitable for 1 or 2 guests. Host is very professional and responsive."

The apartment is new, clean and well equipped. The bed is a highly qualitative box spring. There is a kitchenette for all your basic needs. You can use the fridge, Nespresso, microwave oven, water cooker etc. The bathroom has a rain shower. Of course we made it able for you to watch your flatscreen from your bed. There is good fast free wifi all threw the apartment.

The apartment goes with two bikes for free. There are free parking places just 5 minutes away. In the weekends it's also possible to park your car for free in front of the boat.
There is a tram 15 minutes walking its a pleasant walk along the canal it is nicee to see the different houseboats along the way. the tram takes you to the museums and the center of Amsterdam. It is a 15 minute bicycle ride to the centre.

Bicycles are available for you during your stay.

We have a brandnew terras on the water! Open your the doors and you can have breakfast or a glass of wine right on the water with splendid views! In the summer take a swim in the river!

Interaction with Guests:
The owner of the houseboat is born and raised in Amsterdam and very well-known with all assets of the city. As a visitor of the many cultural happenings in Amsterdam she can well inform you of all the must do’s. Think about cultural; Concerts, Expositions, the best neighborhoods but also shopping, like flea markets and the right place to be for your new outfit. The owner will welcome you herself and is available on a daily base to assist you in your stay in the city.

Stay at my boat and you will make a contribution to the environment. By heating through a sustainable water heat pump, the houseboat uses 5x less energy, emits no CO² and does not burn fossil fuels.

The two private studio rooms (25 and 40 sqms) are equipped with everything you need. They're furnished with a comfy king sized bed (180 x 200) with crisp, white sheets and a window ceiling above your head to gaze at the stars.
Start your day with a Nespresso in the relaxing sofa or easy chairs and settle down in your life at sea.

The ensuite bathroom has a bath with stunning views over the harbor, a separate shower and luxurious bathroom amenities from Marie-Stella-Maris.

A nice detail is the starwatching roof above the dining table, so you don't have to go on deck to enjoy the starry sky.

Additional plus is that it is also sustainable, the entire boat is self-sufficient and an ingenious osmosis system from Austria ensures that this filtered water is even drinkable. Nice to know is that the wood in the boat is old sanded planks recycled from the cheese warehouses and the entire boat is very well isolated & heated with central heating system in the coldest months.

My space is close to public transport and the city center. You'll love my place because of the coziness, the location and the view. My space is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, families (with children) and furry friends (pets).

The space
The boat is a traditional Dutch barge (flatbottom) built in 1888.

Our guests will be alone, without any others on the boat; so Corona safe!

The interiour has been modified to a comfortable place to stay, with heating and a simple shower.
Kitchen is equiped with furnace, refrigerator and oven.
Beds are all in 1 cabin and are cozy "boat-sized" . Beds are under the front deck so there is no standing height.
We have a strickt non-smoking policy on the boat!

In the summer time enjoy the life outside on deck and swimming next to the boat.

The boat is properly heated during the winter months via a central oil heater and additional electric heaters.

Other things to note
Another traditional flat-bottom boat is docked next to our boat. Sometimes people may be on there doing maintenance.
The sleeping cabin is underneath the front deck and hence limited in height. It is cozy, but you have to bend in that room.

There is a comfortable double king size bed in your room. Next to your room is a modern shared bathroom. You can enjoy your breakfast in the special breakfast nook and watch the many varieties of water birds swim past or on the private veranda directly on the water.
Situated on the IJ river close to the cultural hub NDSM and only a fifteen minute busdrive to the central station. You can park your car for free.

Romantic, cosy room in the back of an antique barge, perfect for couples. Private room, with extra hangout in the steeringhut and on the sunny deck terrace outside.
Our boat is located in the Jordaan, a beautiful and lively area in the centre of Amsterdam.

The space
Your room is nice and cosy, with private shower and petit bathroom/toilet. It is set in the back of the ship, where in the old days the captain and his family lived. (The ship is one hundred years old.) The front where we (the owners) live, is the part of the ship that was used for transporting grains, sand, or other large cargo.

Guest access
In your room you will have your privacy, and we will keep our's. The only place where we could meet is at the entrance of the ship: the steering hut and the deck. Guests can chill there and watch the canal life, and sometimes we will be there too, to have a coffee of a glass of wine.
NOTE: the access to the boat and to your room is not fit for elderly or disabled persons. Sorry for that: it’s a ship.

Beautiful houseboat on the water in the cozy harbor (many boats illuminated in winter atmospheres) Marina Monnickendam. A beautiful historic fishing village with various restaurants within walking distance. From Monnickendam, trips to Marken, Volendam, Edam, the Zaanse Schans and Amsterdam are easily possible by car, bicycle and public transport. Free parking in the harbour. The houseboat is wonderfully heated.

The houseboat is not for sailing yourself.

The space
The houseboat has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a bunk bed. There is a bathroom with a normal toilet, a sink and a shower. There is a kitchen with basic equipment, an electric kettle, coffee maker and an air fryer. The cozy living room has a sofa and a dining table. Basic ingredients are provided such as: coffee, sugar, milk, pepper, salt, olive oil, shampoo and shower gel. Outside there is a roof terrace and a front terrace with garden furniture where you can enjoy the sun.

You have the entire houseboat to yourself, including the terrace and roof terrace.

Other things to note
You stay on a houseboat that is well anchored, but occasionally the boat rocks a bit when the wind blows hard. You have a beautiful view of the lake.

Unique modern loft houseboat in nice area of Amsterdam. It is quiet here and you are only 8 minutes away by public transport from the center of Amsterdam. So perfect to escape from the hazzle in town when you do not need it: when you want to sleep. This boats suits max 6 persons.

IMPORTANT: No smoking, drugs and parties allowed, we are very strict on this......

The space
And now for something different: meet the Northern Light Boat! This brand new houseboat is designed to give you an unforgettable nautical experience in Amsterdam. It's located next to the buzzing NDSM Wharf, just a few minutes walking from the free ferry to Central Station. Perfect for families and friends up to 6 persons. The name of the ship refers to the Northern Light that can be seen from the roof terrace, as well as through the window in living room ceiling. And the boat is docked in the Northern part of the city. So what's in a name!

Important note: this is not a party boat. No noise, nor use of the roof terrace is allowed after 22.00 No drugs of any kind are allowed in, on or around the boat. Please note that on violation of these rules you will be removed from the boat and you will lose your deposit. Sorry, but we have to be strict about this.

Unique nature experience on the water

Surrounded by nature, overlooking the water-rich peat meadow area where silence, bird song and the rushing of cane determine the tone.

Next to the Tjalk is a private terrace with garden.

The sanitary facilities are housed in a beautifully converted, large wine barrel – completely in style with the natural elements.
Here you will find a comfortable shower and a toilet, surprisingly spacious and unique in experience.

1 toilet is available in the Tjalk itself.

Our cozy boat has the following dimensions:

Height: 1.75 m in the middle, Width: 2.04 m
Length: 7.90 m

There is a double bed where you sleep with your feet under the deck (with 39 cm of space), while the rest of your body completely has space.

On board you will find:
- 4-burner gas stove
- Fridge with a small freezer compartment
- Small flat-screen TV
- Bluetooth soundbar
- toilet

Cold water (via the water tank of the tjalk, so this water is not drinkable, but there is a can filled with water that is drinkable)

🚿 Sanitary
The main sanitary facilities are located outside the tjalk, in a converted and heated wine barrel.

Here you will find:
- Shower
- sink
- Towels and washcloths
- toilet

Of course, hot and cold water is available here, so you can shower and refresh comfortably. This water comes directly from the tap and is drinkable.

The tjalk is docked on our own private property, where there is ample parking.
Prefer to come by public transportation? Then let us know in advance – we also offer a pick up service.

As a guest of Bed in Boot Jisperveld, you have access to:

The entire tjalk with associated private garden
The main sanitary building with all facilities
A free parking for your own car(s) on the property
Please note: The other parts of the yard – including the meadows and the areas where our horses are located – are private. We ask that you kindly respect these zones unless otherwise arranged.

Still feel like making a fire, sitting between the horses on the property itself or even on the land in nature? In many cases, this is possible, but always in consultation (preferably in advance), so that we can ensure safety and tranquility together – also for the animals.

Do you want to prepare something that needs an oven? In "The Cove" (our special 'events space') there is an oven available. This is not accessible by default, but on request we can check together if and when you can use it.

We love open and honest communication, so please let me know if you would like to do or use anything. A lot is possible – as long as we coordinate it together.

This romantic and luxurious houseboat is situated right in the heart of the historic centre. Although in the vicinity of the The Redlight District, Dam Square and The Jordaan it is based on one of the most picturesque canals Amsterdam has to offer.

The space
The boat is approx. 90 m² with a spacious living room and a fully equiped open kitchen. At the kitchen-bar you can hang out and dream away while the boats pass by. The lovely bedroom has a queen bed. In the early morning you can enjoy the flickering of the rising sun in the water when you are still in bed. The modest but comfortable bathroom has a bath, shower and two sinks.

As we don't have direct neighbours and the houseboat has a lot of windows (with a spectacular view) it provides an enormous feeling of freedom.

As the boat is solely at your disposal, you don't have to share the boat with other guests.

In the lowerpart of the split-level our baby's room is situated, which they unfortunately don't want to rent out.

If the weather allows, you can sit on our terrace-boat in front of the houseboat and enjoy the view, sun, ducks, boats and the tower bells that ring hourly.

We have 2 pushbikes which are at your disposal during your stay.

The house boat is rented out to max 2 persons (no additional guests allowed at any time).

Enjoy the peace and the water with the option to rent a sloop to go sailing in the beautiful Westeinderplassen!

The space
Living room has a sliding door to a lovely terrace above the water. In addition to the sun, here you can enjoy a lively view of the boats coming and going into the marina. For preparing the meals, all equipment is built into the modern open kitchen. The beautiful bathroom has a walk-in shower, washbasin, hanging toilet and a design radiator. And if you wake up in the morning in the bedroom with fixed closet space, you can step up to the terrace via the second sliding doors to enjoy a new day on the water!
