I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not need to be close to the city center or who does not mind a 20 minute ride to center. not recommended for people who need frequent access to their room during the day. - "Best" - "Awesome place " - "We were switched to this property when our original hotel cancelled, a week before we were supposed to travel. This turned out to be a very positive change! This space was large, clean, bright and comfortable. I loved having a kitchen to make coffee and easy breakfasts. The Albert Heijn grocery store was a five minute walk away and was open til 10:00 for easy meal and snack options. I do wish there had been written instructions on how to work the stove and oven as the symbols were new to me and it took a bit of google searching. A few reviews have complained about the stairs, but this was completely normal for Amsterdam and really no big deal once we got our luggage up! We were walking distance to the shopping district, Artis (zoo) and many other attractions. The subway was also right there so easy to catch a train on days when we had done a little too much walking or it was raining. There was a small issue with shower drain no working properly when we arrived but someone came to check it out right away and while it wasn't fixed while we were there, they did bring us LOTS of extra towels to help with the overflow. The rooms with the double bed and the murphy bed were perfect. The room with the two twin beds was TINY and had no real windows so it got a little stuffy - something to keep in mind depending on who will be sleeping where. The thermostat was very responsive so it was easy to manage overall temperatures as the weather changed quite a bit during our week-long stay. "

I was exhausted from the flight & taken back how much the cab ride was from the airport to the hotel — so the hotel staff letting us know we can check in early AND we would receive a free cab ride to the apartments was music to my ears. We had the 3rd floor apartment — we are pretty fit 30 year old males so the stairs weren’t too much of a problem for us but I totally understand why people are having issues with them. We were in short walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do. Every morning we opened up the windows and had tea at the table overlooking the canal. Breathtaking! - "We really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. The apartment was located very conveniently for museums and galleries, as well as the proximity to the tram and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also a lovely place to wander about and felt safe during the evening (though, you take your life in your hands crossing the cycle lane). The owners are clearly still working on the property as there was a lot of banging and hammering at 7am which may not be ideal if you've had a late night or like to sleep in. This wasn't a deal breaker for us however, and would happily recommend and stay here again."

Old style apartment in beautiful old west canal district is 6 minutes by bike, tram and bus to the Center District. Bus and tram stop a 2 minute walk.

Usually no wait for toilet and shower rooms.

Amsterdam West is TIME OUT magazine's 2023 top ten ''coolest'' districts on the planet.

Cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques and supermarkets are minutes walking from this quiet street. Diverse architecture and theaters.

The space
9.5 sq. meter bedroom is for one guest only. Bedroom door is on the main hallway. It has a cold water sink and mirrors, a dresser, electric outlets, shelves and plenty of hooks to hang clothes. Large double glass windows on a quiet residential sidewalk.

There is soap, towels, bathrobe, slippers, clothes hangers and hairdryer in the bedroom. Bed is double medium soft.

There is a large garden with 2 terraces to relax.

Smoking is permitted on the back terrace.

Guests have their own storage space in the refrigerator and cabinet for personal food.

Coffee, tea, milk, bread, jam, cereal, Dutch cheese and fruit are available. Breakfast is self service.

The shower and toilet are in separate rooms so usually there is no waiting time. They are cleaned daily.

Guest access
Guests have access to the living - dining area, kitchen, toilet, shower and garden terraces.

Once a week the livingroom is used a few hours by host in the afternoon as a work space.

During your stay
This is a registered Bed and Breakfast. This is my home and I live here.

Guests are not allowed to bring visitors into the apartment. I have a contractual agreement with the Homeowners Association for one guest per room.

There are 2 bedrooms I rent to one guest per room which allows optimal quiet and use of space. Schedules vary so people often do not see eachother.

I respect guest privacy. If you like conversation, I can also enjoy some sociability as well as privacy.

I sometimes work at home and go out each day and many evenings.

Other things to note
Always clean your own dishes.

Please keep the curtains closed at night. We try and respect quiet after 10 pm in the garden on weeknights and after 11 pm on weekends as well as in the apartment. Please do not talk on the phone in the garden before 9 am.

There is no curfew.

If you want to wash your clothes I run the washing machine. Please only one load during your stay and I will do it for you. It's a 24 hour service for no extra fee.

The tram station is only 3 minutes walking distance and it will take you to the city center in 20-25 minutes. Within a walking distance of 5 minutes there is a supermarket and many restaurants.

My apartment is cousy and modern furnished and will give you the feeling as if you are at home. Its on the 12th floor (2 elevetors) with great view over parts of the city.

Completely renovated studio in downtown Purmerend. Within 20 minutes, you are in the center of Amsterdam by public transport. With 15 minutes you are in the city center of Amsterdam by car.

This studio is the perfect place for a stay near Amsterdam. From this ideally located accommodation you can do all kinds of activities.

The studio can accommodate 4 people. Is fully equipped with kitchen, spacious bathroom, separate toilet and cozy courtyard garden.

This one room is located in the Rivierenbuurt, a peaceful neighbourhood about 5 minutes walk from the RAI.

All the amenities are in the room for a comfortable and private stay: bed, private bathroom with shower, wifi, etc... There is also a waterboiler to make some coffee or tea.

Like most apartments in Amsterdam, there are stairs to climb. :-) Also, it is important that check-in take place before 9 pm.

This comfortable downstairs apartment is located in the lively district of "Noord". NDSM with many restaurants and museums is a 15-minute bike ride, from there the pound goes to cetral statio. There are two bikes available at the property.
Bus stop (line 34) is 200m away.

The space
The studio is just a 26M2 space, but smartly designed to offer a comfortable living. Cooking, dining, sitting, relaxing, dancing, refreshing and sleeping: it's all provided! My intention is to provide you with all the comfort and utilities, as I provide them to myself. This means you won't enter a cold & empty rental apartment, but a fully equipped house with utilities you probably have at home yourself.

I enjoy my own living, and when hosting guests, I try to provide the best stay in my studio.

Guest access
All spaces are directly accessed from the shared staircase. The entrance of the studio can be found on the fifth floor. On the sixth floor the staircase gives acces to the privately owned rooftop terrace.

Other things to note
There are three little aspects I can't change and you could consider:

- The dutch weather can be treacherous, which could limit the pleasure of the rooftop terrace (but not any more compared to the rest of Amsterdam).

- The studio, though situated on a quiet backside, is in a urban zone. With occasionally some standard city living noises, like from unaware neighbours. Nothing special and I will always try to help when there is any inconvenience.

- There is no escalator. The staircase itself is spacious and can be easily/safely used, but does require at least a normal health condition.
