Apartment is incredible! Felt completely at home. Located main street, Haarlem. 12 degree inside as I arrived. 20 degrees an hour later. 22 degrees constant. Seating, I needed a nice big sofa to crash out on and it was perfect, if a little dated and stained. Cooking a meal was adequate, induction hob and fan oven working well. The shower room and toilet is faultless. Plenty of storage space in bedroom. I was expecting a double bed but it was two singles together with double.linen. I wouldn't mind a single bed, but this arrangement didn't suit my restless nights. Also, it was a single occupancy booking, they left me with a single duvet on a double bed (two singles) which I found very odd, no reason to complain as I was warm enough but would've been more comfortable with a double duvet. Cleanliness gets a 4.5/5 as some of the cutlery needed cleaning but the overall cleanliness is 5/5. The balcony with street view was one of the best things about my trip. There's a coffeeshop opposite the apartment. Be careful leaving the apartment, there's bikes coming at you from both sides. Dont trip on cobbles as you leave, you may end up in the coffeeshop! I am looking forward to my next stay already. "

Getting to and around Haarlem by public transport is quite convenient. Schiphol Airport is well connected by train and will take you about 30 minutes. The capital city of Amsterdam and Zandvoort beach are both only 15 minutes away. We will share a handy website to plan your route.

By car the airport is about 20 minutes and Amsterdam 20 to 30 depending on your exact destination.

- "WOW!! I can not say enough about how great this property is. Location is perfect, walkable to countless eateries and shops and beautiful scenery everywhere you look. Many have mentioned the stairs, yes, there are many steps so beware of the weight of the luggage you bring and just go slow, but honestly, I would say it is part of the charm. We did not cook at the apartment, but it seemed to be very well stocked if you wanted to. Beds were very comfy. Would certainly stay again if ever in the area!"

We aren’t cyclists but the bikes looked impressive and there were maps etc for touring around. It is a loft apartment that was in a perfect spot above a cafe. It is basically a two bedroom with stairs up to the second bedroom loft. There are tons of cafes around and is very close to the city square. Harlem is an adorable town with lots of energy and great restaurants, bakeries, a weekly market and shops. Plus it is very close to Amsterdam. Paul and his lovely wife, Priscilla, have made this apartment impeccable, cozy and lovingly decorated with her artwork. It had a very nice kitchen, air conditioning and comfortable beds. Also there is a bathroom up in the loft area which was super convenient. There is a small patio which was perfect for an evening with wine and a cheese board. In addition Paul was always available and is clearly wanting his guests to be completely happy. He did several wonderful things for us. One of our guests fell and hurt her leg and he offered to take us to the Dr. We didn't end up needing those services but I thought it was amazing that he offered his help. To me this was a great spot and a great host. My only suggestion is to add an upstairs shelf for guests to unpack their folded clothes. There is a nice size hanging rack which is nice. We would definitely stay here again!"

- "perfect" - "Right in the center and very nice Appartments! Very friendly reception and excellent host. The Appartement had a roof-top terrace." - "Nicely remodeled/updated loft with a huge rooftop terrace - definitely the place to stay in Haarlem." - "Top floor so many stairs—great view with curry flavor. Nice owner. Different furniture from the pics— better dining but less couch space. " - "This apartment is in a great location. But be warned, Photo 1/29 is not what you get, Photo 24/29 is. This apartment does not sleep 6, only 5, with seating for 3. The 'leather' sofa is small and very uncomfortable. The TV only works on Wi-Fi and this drops out of use when the neighbour is using the internet as the WiFi to this apartment is on an extension feed from theirs. There is 1 bedside table with lamp for 2 double beds. There were too few cups, glasses etc. When asked at check-in if there were extra loo rolls, we were told that if more were supplied they would just be used! 2 rolls for 4 adults for 3 days, not even 1 per day. This sums up the Host. We left him 4 rolls at the cost of 1.60 euro. We were promised check -in information 72 hours before arrival, it took approximately 3 emails to the host and 2 phone calls to VRBO to finally get a response from the host at 13:50 the day before our departure at 07:30 the following morning. Which was very stressful by not knowing well in advance that we had a confirmed apartment to go to."

Marquez let us know about it when I checked on our status a week prior. He voluntarily upgraded us to a bigger apartment nearby and it all worked out fine. - "Absolutely perfect place to stay if you want a central location with lots of flexibility and your own space. Communication with the property management team was excellent. We had a very late night check-in and I failed to notice a 'how to check-in' email which detailed exactly how to get inside. This was not an issue however as their phone team were super helpful and very friendly. They highlighted the email that I should read and also made it clear that I should call back if there are any issues. Very reassuring to know you're well looked after. The actually property is fantastic! Super high ceilings so feels very spacious. Beautiful showers and bathrooms. Everything new and very clean. All the beds were beautifully set up for all 5 of us (note, they say they can provide a 5th fold out bed and it was much better than expected. The property had more than enough space for 5 big men.) It would be great for a large family. Slightly unusual door behind a door that we weren't sure we could lock from the inside. We probably could but maybe worth asking about that. Likely our mistake! And there is a central kitchen area that we didn't pay for or use in the end but if you were staying for longer would be very useful. The host replied to me quickly offering that space but the hob in the room is plenty. Highly recommend it. Lovely coffee shop 10 metres from the front door. Supermarket just round the corner. And obviously all the restaurants and bars around the Grote Markt. 10/10"

- "The apartment is very modern and located quite well in regards to restaurants, etc. Haarlem Station is also roughly a 20 minute walk away, which is quite a scenic walk. TV and Internet services work without issue and everything needed for cooking was provided. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend the apartment to others. I did also have 2 cats with me, which Marquez and his team were very happy to accommodate."

To ensure a peaceful environment for our neighbors, we kindly request guests avoid using the terrace between 22:00 and 8:00, as voices may resonate between the houses. Much of the old center of Haarlem is car-free, creating a peaceful atmosphere. It’s easily accessible, just a half-hour bus ride from Schiphol Airport via bus 300. Haarlem Central Station is a convenient ten-minute walk away, ideal if you’re planning day trips to Amsterdam (18 minutes by train) or the beaches of Zandvoort or Bloemendaal aan Zee.

To explore the beautiful surroundings, consider renting bikes. Parking in the city center is subject to charges, so if you arrive by car, you can either park at Station Haarlem Spaarnwoude (free of costs) or in one of the nearby parking garages.

Kindly be aware that our charming historic front door may, on occasion, be a bit temperamental, especially with changing weather conditions. My house is a spacious downstairs house (100 m2) in a quiet street close to the center of Haarlem. Within 10 minutes, you can be at the big market. You can go to Amsterdam by train or bus to Amsterdam, and in 30 minutes you can be in Zandvoort by bike. I have 2 bicycles available.

The space
My 1890 apartment is on the ground floor with a small city garden.
It is a nice house with room and suite and high ceilings. In the back house, there are two bedrooms, the upper room of which is for the guests. The stairs to the bedroom are a bit steep.
I also sleep in my house (unless I'm on vacation). That's why we share the bathroom.
The kitchen may be used on request.
Breakfast is not included.
If I am at home, I can prepare a breakfast for 14 euros (2pp) on request.

I welcome you in my cosy canal house where I have been living for the past 15 years with my daughter Lola and my son Hugo. I work and live downstairs, occasionally with Hugo. Upstairs I let a small appartment with a bed/livingroom , a small diningroom with a fridge, waterkoocker and microwave and a bathroom. The historical centre starts on the other side of the water.

The space
Our over 100 years old canalhouse is located on a two minute walk from the citycenter. I work, live and sleep on the groundfloor tohether with our two cats Ted and Peer. My son Hugo, studies in Arnhem, but stays over often in the gardenhouse. He plays banjo in a bluegrass band. Lola has moved to Amsterdam to study a few years ago but regularly spends a weekend at home. Upstairs I rent a small appartment with a bed/livingroom a bathroom and a small diningroom. Here you can enjoy breakfast or heat something up in the microwave. There is a fridge, microwave and a watercooker.
In front of the house (across the small bridge) you will find the city theater, a small pier where you can rent a boat to check out Haarlem from the water. The Sint Bavo cathedral is around the corner and the beach is 25 minutes biking. Also if you want to visit Amsterdam, the train takes you there in 15 minutes.

You will have a private bedroom overlooking our green garden. There is a small wardrobe, a cosy corner with 2 comfortable chairs and good light and many books. Mostly in Dutch and english, but you might find some Heinrich Böll or Guy de Maupassant.
Furthermore you can use the small breakfast room.
The bathroom is recently renovated. I use it only to shower. We have our own toilet downstairs.
Washingmachine and dryer are accessible on request.

Welcome to our lovely accommodation! It is a newly renovated tiny apartment in the heart of Haarlem. It features a kitchen (15m2) with balcony. There is a spacious bedroom (20m2) with a bench to think about what you are going to do ;-) A private bathroom (2m2), toilet and the shared garden.
From the entrance, there are two short stairs. The house has a short staircase between kitchen and bedroom (8 steps).

The space
You enter from the hall into the cozy kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all comforts, it is just not possible to use the stove because of tightened rules in Haarlem.
You can of course make coffee and tea, butter your bread and use the oven, combination microwave and refrigerator. In the kitchen, there is a cozy seating area overlooking the garden and the balcony that you can use.
The bathroom has a shower cabin and sink. The bedroom is spacious with lots of light with a nice bench to plop down on. You can definitely use the guitar. There is the possibility to use fast WiFi and free parking at about 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. The Central Station is a 10-minute walk away.
