Apartment is incredible! Felt completely at home. Located main street, Haarlem. 12 degree inside as I arrived. 20 degrees an hour later. 22 degrees constant. Seating, I needed a nice big sofa to crash out on and it was perfect, if a little dated and stained. Cooking a meal was adequate, induction hob and fan oven working well. The shower room and toilet is faultless. Plenty of storage space in bedroom. I was expecting a double bed but it was two singles together with double.linen. I wouldn't mind a single bed, but this arrangement didn't suit my restless nights. Also, it was a single occupancy booking, they left me with a single duvet on a double bed (two singles) which I found very odd, no reason to complain as I was warm enough but would've been more comfortable with a double duvet. Cleanliness gets a 4.5/5 as some of the cutlery needed cleaning but the overall cleanliness is 5/5. The balcony with street view was one of the best things about my trip. There's a coffeeshop opposite the apartment. Be careful leaving the apartment, there's bikes coming at you from both sides. Dont trip on cobbles as you leave, you may end up in the coffeeshop! I am looking forward to my next stay already. "

It is a loft apartment that was in a perfect spot above a cafe. It is basically a two bedroom with stairs up to the second bedroom loft. There are tons of cafes around and is very close to the city square. Harlem is an adorable town with lots of energy and great restaurants, bakeries, a weekly market and shops. Plus it is very close to Amsterdam. Paul and his lovely wife, Priscilla, have made this apartment impeccable, cozy and lovingly decorated with her artwork. It had a very nice kitchen, air conditioning and comfortable beds. Also there is a bathroom up in the loft area which was super convenient. There is a small patio which was perfect for an evening with wine and a cheese board. In addition Paul was always available and is clearly wanting his guests to be completely happy. He did several wonderful things for us. One of our guests fell and hurt her leg and he offered to take us to the Dr. We didn't end up needing those services but I thought it was amazing that he offered his help. There were too few cups, glasses etc. When asked at check-in if there were extra loo rolls, we were told that if more were supplied they would just be used! 2 rolls for 4 adults for 3 days, not even 1 per day. This sums up the Host. We left him 4 rolls at the cost of 1.60 euro. We were promised check -in information 72 hours before arrival, it took approximately 3 emails to the host and 2 phone calls to VRBO to finally get a response from the host at 13:50 the day before our departure at 07:30 the following morning. Which was very stressful by not knowing well in advance that we had a confirmed apartment to go to."

- "Absolutely perfect place to stay if you want a central location with lots of flexibility and your own space. Communication with the property management team was excellent. We had a very late night check-in and I failed to notice a 'how to check-in' email which detailed exactly how to get inside. This was not an issue however as their phone team were super helpful and very friendly. They highlighted the email that I should read and also made it clear that I should call back if there are any issues. Very reassuring to know you're well looked after. The actually property is fantastic! Super high ceilings so feels very spacious. Beautiful showers and bathrooms. Everything new and very clean. All the beds were beautifully set up for all 5 of us (note, they say they can provide a 5th fold out bed and it was much better than expected. The property had more than enough space for 5 big men.) It would be great for a large family. Slightly unusual door behind a door that we weren't sure we could lock from the inside. We probably could but maybe worth asking about that. Likely our mistake! And there is a central kitchen area that we didn't pay for or use in the end but if you were staying for longer would be very useful. The host replied to me quickly offering that space but the hob in the room is plenty. Highly recommend it. Lovely coffee shop 10 metres from the front door. Supermarket just round the corner. And obviously all the restaurants and bars around the Grote Markt. 10/10"

- "I almost hate to share how perfect this apartment is in Haarlem! It really doesn’t get better than this when traveling abroad for a month. From the moment I arrived I felt at home. Owners Monique & Kees couldn’t have been more responsive & helpful getting me settled. Any questions I had were immediately answered. The owners even purchased a hair dryer & new linens for my extended stay. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Loved having them downstairs, since I was traveling alone. The apartment is extremely comfortable & quiet. Great kitchen! I enjoyed opening the balcony doors on mornings/evenings when it was pleasant to enjoy the canal view. Nice to be able to adjust the apartment temperature to my liking with my own control also. The beds are extremely comfortable & the master had a very large built in closet to store my clothes. I returned many evenings well into the morning after helping with my new grandson & never felt unsafe on my 6 minute walk back alone. The apartment is a short walk to pretty much everything you need: groceries, bakeries, take-out, a bus stop, shopping, and some very nice restaurants. Prakm serves true “Dutch” food, & we enjoyed a lovely evening there. The owner is delightful & food/ atmosphere perfect. Mica Coffee Bar & Blend are great for breakfast & lunch. The Saturday Grote Market is a short walk away & not to be missed. This is truly a home away from home. I even mastered the Dutch staircase to the apartment by the end of my trip!"

No response to subsequent messages We arrived later than expected, couldn’t get ahold of the host, depended on the kindness of a business owner near by, an hour and a half later, we were finally able to check in. - "The property is as-advertised, and the location is great. The upstairs loft/bedroom and bathroom area is very-much a loft, and not for anyone 6'-plus. The shower in the loft overflowed the first day, but thankfully there was a massive squeegee, and the mopping up wasn't too painful, but I brought this to the attention of the owner, and that problem was addressed. Had to purchase toilet paper upon arrival and dish detergent-not too much of a bother as far as great markets very close by. Hands down though, the location is spectacular as far as it being walking distance to an abundance of interesting sites. The owner/manager Marquez is very pleasant, and gave me a great heads-up re taking the bus to the airport as opposed to walking or taking a cab to the train station."

Our place is about 35 min from Schiphol Airport, 15 min to Amsterdam Station and the beach by train and 12 min to historic Haarlem Centrum by bus.

It is a room for 1 person.

The space
It's a room with a single bed for one person. In the room is a closet and 2 big drawers under the bed. All included sheets and towels.
On the same floor are a toilet, a shower, a sink, a washing machine and a dryer. There is another room for 3 people on the same floor. There may be guests staying there.
On the first floor are my private rooms.
On ground level on one side of the entrance hall you find a toilet and on the other side a large room where you can relax, have breakfast and you also can work.
In this room are a dining table for 4 persons, a mini fridge, water kettle, toaster, tosti press, micro wave/oven. On a separate desk are a computer and printer.

Guest access
I will welcome you and give you the key for the front door. If not present someone else will do or I send you instruction how to come in and find your way in the house.
Beside the house is a path to my private garden, which opens to a public green area and pond.
You may use:
-the garden behind my house
-enough free parking space across the street from my house
- (motor) cycle in my carport
-on ground floor: the guest breakfast room and toilet.
-on 2nd flour all rooms are only for privat use
-on 3rd floor: all rooms except the other guest room.
Use of washing machine and dryer only after acceptance and instruction.

During your stay
During your stay, when I'm present, I am ready to help you. I am mostly open for nice discussions.

Other things to note
The house is Corona protected and I've got my 2 vaccinations.
Free breakfast from 8 - 10 AM is included, when I'm present . I provide bread, butter, jam, milk, yoghurt, muesli, coffee and tea. There is a mini fridge where you can put your own food. You can also use the breakfast room for your own lunch and dinner, so please don't eat in the bed room. Just leave the used stuff in the kitchen.

We offer a room in a row house in a cozy street near bus stop and supermarket. Parking is free and you can drive to Amsterdam or the beach in 20 minutes. Tourist tax of 5 euros pppn is not included. However, we do offer a simple breakfast in the room. We like meeting all kinds of people. Languages: NL, FR, EN, SP. Welcome!

The space
My house is a terraced house near a park, Spaarndam, the Beautiful Nel, a main road to the city center and bus stops. Several supermarkets within a radius of 600m.

Guest access
The room has a bed that you can pull out into a double bed. Use of the living room is not included in the rental price. Guests are welcome in the spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower, which is also used by the resident.

Enjoy my place because of nice view on green border of Haarlem and nice ambiance.
It's a large room with a double bed for 2 persons and a possibility for a third guest. The room has a sink and closet. Bath room and toilet on same floor.
From my house it's 10 minutes walk to the station, then by train 35 min. to the airport, 15 min to Amsterdam CS and also 15 min. to the North sea beach. By bus or bike to the beautiful historic centre 12 min.

The space
It's a large room with a two person bed on the 3rd floor of a big house. In the room are a sink and a closet. There is a possibility for a third person if he accepts sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Sheets and towels are provided.
On the same floor are a toilet, a shower, a sink, a washing machine and dryer. There is another small room at the same floor with a single bed for one person. There may be a guest staying there.
On the 2nd floor are my private rooms.

The room is on the 2nd floor (2 steep stairs) with a beautiful view on the green square. In 5 min. you walk to city centre or to the bus to Amsterdam. The same bus, opposite direction, brings you to the beach.
In your room you'll find a small fridge, microwave, coffee/tea but no further kitchen facilities. We share the bathroom. I am a quiet person and of course I adapt to yr wishes.

Upon entering you immediately go up the stairs. There is my living room. A floor higher is your room at the square and my bedroom at the back. The (shared) bathroom is also located there.

Of course you can ask me anything. When I am at home, I like to tell you things about Haarlem & the region. I adapt to what my guests want and I am a quiet person.

My house is a non-smoking house! If you really want to do that, please go out and smoke on the square.
Please walk quiet on the wooden stairs (steep) & wooden floor for the sake of my neighbours.

This sleepingroom in my house is the perfect base for 2 persons to visit Haarlem / Amsterdam / Zandvoort/ flower fields / coastal area. My house is near busstops to stations and Schiphol airport.

The space
You will get a private sleepingroom with bunk bed on the first floor. You can use the kitchenette on the second floor, so you can make breakfast and then go out. The house is located near busstops to stations and to Schiphol airport.
When you are a group of four persons, you could consider renting my other bedroom with queensize bed as well. I will stay in my house and sleep in the bedroom on the second floor during your stay. Or you can rent my complete house (see advertisement) and then I will stay elsewhere.

Guest access
You will get your own private sleepingroom on the first floor, and you share bathroom and toilet with me (and maybe other guests). During the day and in the evening I like my privacy. So please, find a restaurant to have your dinner and return in the evening.
I have one other room (see advertisement). When there are other guests, you will share the kitchenette on second floor with them. Or you can rent the complete house, then you have access to all facilities (I will stay somewhere else).

During your stay
You will get your own private sleepingroom on the first floor, and you share bathroom and toilet with me. Of course you get a key to the house, so you can come and go whenever you like. You can send a message whenever you have questions, and I will react as soon as possible.

Other things to note
When I am there and/or when there are other guests in the house (in my other room, see advertisement), please take them into account, and keep a little quiet whenever you arrive and when you are in the house.

This styleful and cozy house is located in the "leidsebuurt" which is 500m next to the city centre of Haarlem and 2km from the dunes. Its walking distance to; the Grote Markt, beautiful shops, excellent restaurants, the Teyler & Frans Hals museum and cathedral of St Bavo.

We have two cats, one old lady of 15 years and one little cat man of 1 year now. So if you want to stay in our home you need to be a cat lover 🐈 💕 or at least feed them.
