- "The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!"

Cast your lure from your own jetty. Giethoorn is a beautiful watervillage and, together with NP Weerribben-Wieden, is definitely worth a visit! Our guesthouse with shared outdoor terrace is fully equipped. You will stay in Giethoorn-Noord, the quiet part of the village, away from all the hustle and bustle. Ideal for those seeking peace and quiet! The tourist area is only 4 km away from our B&B. Rental of bicycles, canoes, SUP boards and a nature boat tour with the owner is possible. Ask about the options, we are happy to help.

The space
Our B&B rents out 2 comfortable and stylishly furnished rooms in the front of our farmhouse and this guesthouse is somewhat smaller than the three-person guesthouse, but also fully equipped. There is a kitchenette, private ensuite bathroom, free WiFi, TV and air conditioning. There is also a cozy communal area and various rental options are available from us (canoes, SUP boards, bicycles). The beautiful outdoor terrace with picnic tables and a lounge sofa makes your stay completely relaxing!

Guest access
There is a shared entrance and hall with tourist information. The rooms have their own entrance with all amenities private. In addition to the cozy, shared "eat & meet room", the outdoor terrace is also accessible to guests of both rooms. The owners live in the back house and have their own living space and garden.

During your stay
We live in the back house and are available until 10:00 PM. We can then be reached personally. If desired, we also communicate with guests via SMS or Whats App to answer questions.

Other things to note
Dogs are not allowed in this guest house due to 2 stairs and noise pollution for the tenant below your room.

The rental price of the room does not include breakfast and tourist tax (€2,20 per person per night). On request you can have an extensive breakfast every morning. Breakfast costs €12,50 per person.

There are bicycles for rent, canoes, SUP boards. And the most unique thing about our location is a 2-hour nature boat tour is with owner Peter (€49 per boat trip).

The space
Our farmhouse is a national monument, located on the waterfront, with a drawbridge. You do not hear any cars here, but birds (and occasionally a boat).

Dwarsgracht is an exceptionally beautiful small water village, which is not as bustling with tourists as the popular Giethoorn. Our farm is located in the middle of the unique nature reserve Wieden-Weerribben.

You will stay in an apartment that consists of one room, with a double bed, separated from dining and sitting area by a room screen. The bathroom is a separate room in your apartment.

If you prefer two separate beds, you can indicate that, we will take them apart and we will cover them separately.

You can use our bikes and Canadian canoe for free.

Our place is not easy to reach by public transport: the bus only goes until 7 pm and it goes no further than Giethoorn; the last four kilometers on the way to Dwarsgracht are without public transport. So please note that you may need to take a taxi from Steenwijk Train Station.

The space
The B&B has 2 comfortable and stylishly furnished rooms in the front house. The triple room is fully equipped and has a kitchenette with coffee and tea making facilities, private sanitary facilities, free WiFi, TV and various rental options are available. There is a beautiful outdoor terrace with a picnic table and a lounge sofa. A BBQ is available on this shared terrace.

Guest access
There is a shared entrance and hall with tourist information. The room has a bedroom with a double bed, a side room with a single bed and a sitting area, a separate bathroom with rain shower and bath, a separate toilet and a private kitchenette. The outdoor terrace is also accessible to guests and shared with any guests from the other B&B room. The owner lives in the back house and has his own living space and garden.

Other things to note
Dogs are welcome in the triple room upon consultation, for a fee.

The rental price of the room does not include breakfast and tourist tax (€2,20 per person per day). On request you can have an extensive breakfast every morning. Breakfast costs €12,50 per person.

There are bicycles for rent, canoes, SUP boards. The most unique thing about our location is that a 2-hour nature boat trip is offered with the owner (€49 per boat trip).

Check-in is done personally, between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

We have been using this caravan for years with great pleasure. The place is fantastic: quiet, a wonderful view, the ditch where the boat is located leads directly to the lake. Furthermore, the campsite is located in the middle of the village, close to nice terraces and the parking spaces.
The caravan itself is basic but clean. Suitable for a family with 2 children. There is no baby cot available.

The space
There is a living room, a kitchen (4 places), 2 bedrooms and a bathroom (without shower, there is a clean and neat shower building on the campsite).

Other things to note
You can use the boat, provided you are careful with it of course. The best way to explore the area in Giethoorn is of course by boat. Gasoline is of course for your own account, but there will be gasoline present, so you can go a little way.
The charm of Giethoorn is that there are no motorways, the campsite is therefore not accessible by car. At about 5 minutes walk from the campsite you can park the car (for a fee). On the campsite itself you will find handy trolleys to take your luggage with you.
PLEASE NOTE: tourist tax is charged at the campsite, it must be paid at the campsite itself. The rental price does not include this tax. The tax in 2021 is: 3,- pppn

Located on the canal in the heart of Giethoorn, it has 2 bedrooms ,1 bath and a fully equipped kitchen. B&B Canalhouse Giethoorn is located in the centre of Giethoorn with a spectacular canal view. It's a beautiful renovated farmhouse with 2 guestrooms. Every room has a private bathroom/toilet. All the rooms are included clean sheets, fresh towels, a closet, tv, free WIFI, coffee/tea facilities and an extensive breakfast buffet. We have not a kitchen that you can use in the farmhouse.

Located in the center of Giethoorn, it has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. We have 3 cottages nearby and can accommodate 15 people at the same time.
