The Schilderswijk is not touristic but always vivid.

Wonderful studio near the center
This wonderfully stylish studio (45 m2) is located on the ground floor.

It is beautifully centrally but also very quietly located in the Schildersbuurt of Groningen, directly on the Reitdiep.

This spacious apartment has a kitchen, private bathroom with washing machine, and a separate toilet. The studio is fully furnished. It has a spacious double bed (160x200) or 2 twin beds (80x200). Wifi and digital TV, DVD and audio are also available.

You can use the communal garden / jetty, but also the boat on the water.

Nespresso machine, milk frother and kettle are of course available.

There are 2 beautiful bikes available for free and there is a sloop that can be used in the summer months for a trip through the canals of Groningen (01 may till 01 oct).

- "Such a gem....big enough to relax into, completely away, but easy walking distance (to say nothing of biking distance) to all of downtown Groningen, AND it's right on the river. Super comfy bed (none of this '2 twin beds' thing that's common in Dutch hotels), and the kitchen was a treat. Very 'home away from home.' And, of course, Olaf and Nathalie (though I only met Nathalie briefly) were totally accommodating. Olaf is a such an engaging guy: both knowledgeable and curious. - "Herman was a wonderful host, extremely responsive. I arrived late at night (delayed trains) and he stayed up, brought up my luggage. Anytime I had a question or concern he responded immediately. One thing to note is that the space is over 2 floors with typical short dutch staircases (short winding steps) so if you have mobility issues you may want to discuss these with the host ahead of time. This was not my case. The location is ideal - not downtown so quiet but also close to everything (I was working at UMCG during my 3-month stay). Overall I had a great time here for my sabbatical, perhaps will come back one day!"

You enter the house by the front door and then you will come in the hall with garderobe, from there you enter the living room with a fauteuil and big sofa (bedsofa) and SMART TV. - "We stayed for around two weeks. The place is located 10 mins drive from Groningen city centre and walking distance from a beautiful lake and a riding club is located nearby. The place was built by the owner, who also lives on another dwelling on the same lot. Elana greeted us and took us around. She had taken care of the smallest stuff, ensuring enough coffee capsules, soap and spare towels. The place was clean and tidy, recently renovated in good taste and a fancy touch. The beds and sofas were comfortable, all equipment, crockery and cutlery needed was available and functional. We had a great time and would not mind returning sometime. The place is a bit difficult to find, but Peter will provide the directions."

Nice apartment on the edge of the center in the city of Groningen. Spacious (115 square meters) with a sunny living room with south-facing balcony. There is also a north-facing balcony. Very quiet location on one of the most beautiful and greenest canals in the city of Groningen. And yet only a 5-minute walk from train / bus, 2 minutes from the Groninger museum and 5 minutes to the Martini tower. The apartment is on the third floor. The very spacious living room has recently been refurnished. There is a spacious bathroom with bathtub and bidet, a modern kitchen and two bedrooms. Several bicycles can be parked in the storage room below.

The flat is in front of UMCG. The flat is a private place which you can have a comfortable private holidays. It is located in a quiet street directly at the UMCG hospital. The appartment is located in the city Groningen. Within a walking distance of 10 min to the citycentre and station. Alternative is to come by bus (hop of from 1st busstop Kamerlingh Onnesstraat, buslijn 10 to Martini zkh) or taxi (less then 10 euro).

Guestroom
The room (12 sq m) is bright, quite spacious and has it's own balcony. The room has a single bed, a small desk, a comfy chair, a drawer and a small wardrobe. Also you have your own watercooker with teabags/ instant coffee.

The space
The room has a nice comfortable bed. When it's nice and sunny, you can open the balcony doors and sit outside on the balcony, enjoying the sun while drinking your selfmade tea or coffee. Also I have a garden where you are also welcome to sit down. If you have questions or want some tourist advice, the host is there for you!

You'll make use of the same facilities that I use: toilet, kitchen/ fridge and bathroom. You can use a shelf in the fridge, make coffee or tea (no extra costs). Simple cooking is allowed. Also there are cafetaria's and pizzaria's just 5 minutes away or you can go to a restaurant in the city, just a few minutes further.

During your stay
Most of the times I'll be the one who's welcoming you. There can be an exception and in that case my close friend Jackson will be the welcoming you. When that is the case, I will let you know in advance.

Other things to note
When you arrive by car, it's good to know that in my street you have to pay to park in the street: monday-saturday 09:00-18:00, thurday till 21:00. There is an option to park the car in the neighbourhood (5 min walking) where you can park the car for free. Ask me if you want to know the location. Btw: the price includes already the tourist tax of €2,30 p person/p night

My apartment is a 5 minute walk from the center on the 3rd floor with a sunny balcony and nice city views. The street is quiet with characteristic homes. Cafes, restaurants, shops and market are nearby. Bus stop and supermarket are close by right around the corner. Guests can use fast Wifi, complete cooking facilities, TV, etc. Furthermore, there are plenty of bath and bed linen available.

Spacious room with single bed. A garden set makes for a wonderful stay in the garden when the weather is nice. The living room and kitchen are shared with me and the cats. The bathroom is all yours. There is always parking space nearby, but between Mon-Sat from 9 to 18 it is paid parking. I have a visitor's permit for a number of hours per week.

The space
The room is spacious and bright. There is a sink in the room and also a fridge and microwave. You can of course also use the kitchen with all equipment.

In addition to the room, kitchen and bathroom, there is a washing machine and dryer in the attic that you can use. The backyard has a lounge set that can also be used.

Check-in is between 16:00-21:30 in consultation.

Other things to note
In the backyard, there is a beehive where bees fly off. They don't do anything and are used to people walking close to them all the day.

No one has ever been stabbed.

You don't have to pass the bees to get into the house.

You are more than welcome in my tasteful house that was built in the 1930's in the "Rivierenbuurt" in Groningen.The train and busstation is no more than 5 minutes walking distance. Your room is on the first floor. Shower and toilet (that we share) are on the ground floor. In your room there is a sink with cold water. I have a dog; if you have an allergy for dogs my house is perhaps not suitable.

The entire floor of our house is available for rent on Airbnb. Through this advertisement, you rent one of the two bedrooms. In this case, you may have to share the bathroom and facilities on the landing when the other room is also rented. Usually, both rooms are not rented at the same time, but it can happen.
