On the side of the hotel is parking for bikes. The small town of Hollum has a few restaurants and stores. I liked the location because it was close to the lighthouse, a cute forest, and one of the broadest beaches on the island to the North of the town. There are several great places to observe birds. I found several buzzards, many Brant and Barnacle Geese, Kestrels, a lot of Oystercatchers, and some Spoonbills by the vogel uitkijkpost. There is also a duckpond with bird area in the hollumer bos.
