- "The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!"
