- "The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!"

This luxurious and spacious holiday houseboat for 4 people is located in the Weerribben-Wieden just a few kilometers from the tourist center of Giethoorn in the national park with unobstructed views of the Canal Cornelis. Large glass walls offer a view of the surrounding nature with a wide variety of birds, deer and rare species. The sheltered quayside garden has several lounge areas and a private small harbor. In the off-season and in the evenings it is an oasis of peace and space. In high season you will see a variety of boats passing from Giethoorn to one of the many lakes; Excursion boats and barges and canoes, or local boats for transporting cane and cattle.

Our blue cottage is a cute little wooden cottage with lots of privacy and a beautiful view. It is located in a large spacious garden next to our thatched farmhouse on the village canal in Giethoorn Zuid. The photos speak for themselves.

The idyllic Dorpsgracht runs directly in front of the accommodation. From here, you can easily paddle to Lake Bovenwiede, located just 500 metres away. A beautiful walk or bike ride to the charming village of Dwarsgracht is also highly recommended, as is a day trip to Meppel. In Meppel, you’ll find attractions like a subtropical swimming pool. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at a golf course just 13 kilometres from the accommodation.

The apartment has its own private entrance and hallway and is located on the first floor. Prepare your favourite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen and unwind with a good book in the atmospheric living room. There is a separate toilet and a shower with two sinks, Separate sleeping arrangements are possible. Both bedrooms are also available for double bookings, so you can sleep separately.
