In dit appartement beleef je Leeuwarden van dichtbij. In 2018 was Leeuwarden Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa. Gelukkig is er ook nu, in 2019, nog heel veel te doen en te beleven in Leeuwarden. Onze appartementen liggen centraal in de binnenstad en op steenworp afstand vind je het Wilhelminaplein, het Fries Museum en de leukste winkelstraten van de stad. Na het shoppen breng je de tassen vlug binnen om vervolgens heerlijk uit eten te gaan bij een van de vele restaurants. Zin in een borrel? De populairste kroegenstraat van Leeuwarden, de Oude Doelesteeg, bevindt zich om de hoek. Ondanks dat het appartement in de binnenstad is gelegen, is het goed bereikbaar met eigen vervoer of het openbaar vervoer. On the edge of Leeuwarden in a quiet neighborhood opposite the finish of the "eleven city tour", it is fine to stay. The city center can be easily reached by bus or bicycle. The residential area is at the edge of the nature reserve the "Big wheels" with lots of water sports and the "Groene Ster", a wonderful walking and recreation area. The beautiful city of Leeuwarden offers many nightlife options and still enjoy the status of "cultural capital"

The space
The apartment consists of two floors that are entirely for yourself. On the second floor is the hall, the living room with a dining area and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has an induction plate where you can cook an egg or make other small bites in between. All comforts such as coffee maker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster etc are not missing in the kitchenette.
From the hall you can go to the toilet and the bathroom. The toilet is separated from the bathroom.
In the hall there are stairs to the second floor where the sleeping area is. There you will find a comfortable king-size bed and a workspace where our good internet makes it easy to work remotely.
While downstairs (smart) TV is watched, it is ideal to work upstairs in peace.
Our accommodation is very close to the center, so especially on weekends, entertainment of outgoing people and cars can be present.
The apartment is very suitable for long stay due to the layout. The elegant and warm decor makes you feel very quickly at home.
Smoking is not allowed inside, but for the smokers, we have put a corner outside with a table and chairs where you can smoke quietly ;-)

This property is located on the frontside of Pakhuis Friesland. Please note! Keep in mind that on weekends and weekdays in the evening, the city is bustling with people going to entertainment venues. In the street where the warehouse is located, the entertainment and noise in the sleeping area can sometimes also be heard. Some people find it cozy, others find it noisy. Earplugs go a long way to getting some peace and quiet ;-) During the week, it's a bit quieter. Tip: our other apartment that is very quiet, can be booked if it is of course available. That apartment is in the back of the warehouse.

In the warehouse there are two apartments. Both apartments are at the same floor. Each apartment has its own direct entrance and privacy. The alley/outside area entrance use the guests of both apartments.

Other things to note
In terms of ceiling height, a residential park does not meet the same requirements as a regular home. Also the staircase is slightly steeper if you are used to in a residential house. Furthermore, all amenities are available, such as gas, water, electricity, TV and connection to the sewer.
At residential parks, a pump is used, which pushes everything towards the sewer, which makes the use of the toilet seem just like home. The pump can easily handle toilet paper but no hair games, makeup wipes, cotton pads and other ladies stuff.

The space
Loft 369 lends her name to the fantastic sky spectacles that never get bored. (Loft is the Frisian word for "air", the clouds and morning and evening colors are not bored for a moment.

This building was designed by the famous Frisian architect Jouke Bonnema: the philosopher of the present day Skyline of Leeuwarden; to be beautifully overlooked from this Bed and Breakfast. Situated on 10th (and highest) floor, these AirBnB call with a nod: 'The Penthouse'.

With a spacious bright south-facing living room, you can take a seat on our comfortable large sofa, in the cozy sitting areas in the window sill or dangling in the hanging chair. Here you will find no ordinary TV but use the projector. The music equipment and lighting complete the experience. The living room is spacious enough for a dance or a relaxing yoga session.

The kitchen looks like a chic dinner with professional kitchen: 6-burner gas stove, oven and microwave. The perfect place to have cozy conversations at the bar with the Leeuwarden skyline (cultural capital 2018) in the background during cooking. Or to have your breakfast in the morning. You do the dishes by hand.

In the master bedroom, with bath, has a hotel-like atmosphere. The Emma Mattress on the 180cm wide bed ensures an excellent night's sleep. The Ibiza-style balcony is on the sunny side. A nice place to enjoy the day air and beautiful clouds. In particular, the sun up and downs are spectacular.

In the second room there is a sofa bed a television in stereo equipment. Is there a third guest coming? If so, the sofa bed is available.

Then there is the bathroom with spacious shower and sink and then the toilet.

Close to the city centre of Leeuwarden is Woodpecker, a spacious and bright 100 sqm bungalow. You have a private entrance and the Woodpecker has two spacious bedrooms, both with a private shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with all the basic comforts. The bungalow can accommodate up to 4 people. Woodpecker Leeuwarden can also be booked through its own site.

THE SPACE:
After 8 years of Woodpecker, we are moving our horizons to another place nearby. Would you like to come again? We are still open until October 2025. After that, we will close this accommodation.

The garden is spacious and sunny and has a nice pond with fish in it. Upon entering, you are in the bright living room with high windows, a fireplace (to be used from October to March) and a spacious sitting area. There is a television with Netflix. The kitchen is nicely spacious, you can cook well (4 burners) and a kitchen bar where you can work and eat or play a game. Thanks to the 4 bar stools with backrest, this is a nice place for everyone. There are also two extra stools if you get a visit or your company is slightly larger. I'll explain more about that at the end of the listing.

Behind the fireplace is the technical room with washing machine. Behind the kitchen you will find the two spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed (160 cm) and both rooms have their own shower and toilet.

ABOUT CHILDREN: We have no children ourselves and especially wanted to make beautiful things. A number of elements are therefore important for you as a parent to pay attention to the following matters.

🔵We have a deep pond in the garden with fishing. If a child can't swim, don't leave your child by the pond alone.

⚪️The sliding doors to the bedroom are heavy and have sharp edges, these cannot be used by young children themselves.

🔴 The fireplace. There is no fence around this.

Due to these points, we find it important in terms of safety that you can already make good agreements with your child about what is and cannot be done in the house. You know your child best to estimate if this house will be suitable. Not sure about anything? You can always send a message.

If you don't want to sleep in the same bed within the group, we have
available on request two extra single guest beds with bedding. These are not set up by default. You can indicate this in advance.

A lot of what you see is handmade. This allows the use to be slightly different from what you are used to at home.

After 8 years of having the pleasure of receiving guests, we are slowly moving towards the last months of our Bed & Breakfast. After October 2025, our doors will close.

We live within walking distance of downtown. You can reach the center in 10 minutes, the Fries museum in 15 minutes and the Station in 20 minutes. The swimming pool is 450 meters away, the petting zoo 700 meters and the Aqua Zoo at 7 km

We live on the outskirts of the district and This district is a blue zone. Parking is only allowed in our and the surrounding streets with a parking disc that must be moved every two hours. We have options with day tickets if needed.

We do not allow pets.

We have an enclosed large backyard that you can use. We also use this garden ourselves. Our neighbors have a right of way and will walk their bike through the garden once. Two of the garage boxes are a garage for motorbikes. You can sometimes meet these in the summer.
Feel free to sit outside in the garden. Please take the following into account: talk gently and after 9:30 pm, whisper or go inside.
The garden is built as a kind of courtyard and therefore a 5 neighbors can feel like you are talking under their bedroom.
Furthermore, we have a cat, a welcoming dog and a lot of fish that you can find in the garden. Floki the cat and Rover the dog like to come in for a pet, if the doors are open.
