The bedroom has two single beds. For a possible third party, there is a so-called fairground bed. Also there is a fold-out crib and high chair available.
In the "sitting room" is a dining table where the breakfast tailored to you is served in the morning. The roof terrace is south. On sunny days, you may want to have breakfast here.

Bed & Breakfast "Spanjaardslaan" is located in a mansion within walking distance of the city center near NHL Stenden, the theater, museums and restaurants.

The cozy and sleekly decorated attic rooms both have a double bed. The floor has a private bathroom. You can make your own coffee and tea and have access to a refrigerator. Breakfast is not included in the price, but for EUR 10 per breakfast and per person, this can be arranged (to be arranged during stay).

About the house: the house dates from 1918 and is located on a quiet street near the city center. The attic space is completely renovated and equipped with every comfort. It is about a 5-minute walk to the city center, and there is a bus stop in the street.

There is usually plenty of room to park your car. In order not to be a burden to our neighbors, we kindly ask you to do this in the parking lot around the corner (Spanjaardslaan/Leeuwerikstraat).

Please note: This street and the immediate area around it has a "blue zone". This applies from Monday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Thursdays, this lasts until 9 p.m. Parking is then free for a maximum period of two hours (parking disc!).
Do you want to park the car all day? Then we can register the license plate; the cost of this is EUR 3 per day (cash payment) so you can park in this area.
On Sundays, you can park here for free.

You can park completely free of charge at the swimming pool "De Blauwe Golf" which is located about 500 m walk from our house.

Nature and art, a sloop trip on the Frisian water together with a workshop in our studio on the flanks of/with a view of the natural island of Froskepôlle in Leeuwarden. The sloop is located in front of the workshop studio on the Woudmansdiep. Provisions on board, camera with us, we enjoy the beautiful nature that makes Friesland with its lakes and rivers so unique.
And then to "work" in our studio:

In short, the nature walks as a source of inspiration + enjoy the old historic city center; the center of Ljouwert from our "B&B" is very easily accessible via an idyllic bike path [like a city park-long] winding along the old river Potmarge.

The well-equipped apartment (23m2) is on the upper floor where there are 2 b&b rooms. From here, you can walk to the city center of Leeuwarden in 12 minutes. In 15 minutes you can walk from the station to Willem Lodewijkstraat. The apartment in the beautiful Oranjewijk with its own kitchen, its own (rain)shower and toilet is just ready and available. A central place is of course for the lovely four-poster bed!

The kitchen features a two-burner induction stove with hood and a small fridge. There are all kinds of cutlery and there are plates and pans and glasses and mugs. From the cozy dining area you overlook the street. And there is a TV next to a cupboard full of books.

You enter the central hallway and go up the stairs to the upper floor where there are two airbnb's. You can lock the space and also get a key to the front door so that you decide when you come and go. The resident sleeps downstairs.

This spacious room is on the ground floor. The room offers lots of privacy. A private shower with toilet is adjacent to the room. The newly renovated room is attractive and has a king size box spring (October 2024). There is a coffee maker. Breakfast is possible, you decide when you want to eat the breakfast, €11.50 p.p. The apartment is centrally located. You can walk within 7 minutes to the city centre of Leeuwarden and within 3 minutes to the station (0,25 miles).

The guest room is on the ground floor of a corner house build in the 1930's. In a quiet residential area near train/bus station and city center. The house is adjacent to a park and is located on a dead end street. The room has been renovated in style with authentic beams, equipped with a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Double boxspring bed. Room is heated by central heating. Coffee, tea in the room available. Parking is possible in the street with parking disc, is blue zone. No through traffic.

The Music Box is the nicest B&B to enjoy Leeuwarden's city pleasures as friends or "set" (the beds can be separated or together!). You will stay in a private room on the BG, in front of a monumental building, which is centrally located in a historic place near the center. The room has its own terrace with city face, bathroom and kitchenette and is furnished with art and music items to give your stay a special touch. It's small, but surprisingly nice and nice!

The Music Box is an inspiring space with fun and smart extras, such as a vintage pickup with records and a projector to watch a movie from your bed. But of course you come to Leeuwarden with her entertainment near this centrally suffered B&B! There is always free coffee and tea and there is a tasty lunch and meal service for hands (weekday). If you wish, we will have a nice breakfast ready for you, which you can use at your own time in the room or in the first rays of sun on the patio (€12.50 pp).

Public transport: Train station is within walking distance of fifteen minutes. But the bus, line 6, you can also take and get off in front of the house, at the Noorderbrug stop.

Hidden in the Leeuwarden district of Huizum, lies the former kindergarten "Boartlik Begjin". At the end of the Ludolf Bakhuizenstraat, lies this special quiet place, within walking distance of the city center and the train station. A nice base to go into the city, shop or visit one of the museums. And also to discover the rest of Friesland.
The room is also suitable as a home office (WiFi available).

The space
The former teachers' room has been transformed into a guesthouse. It is a complete house with its own entrance, all on the ground floor. Elements from kindergarten days are still visible, such as the beautiful floor tiles in the hall and kitchen, the old wooden windowsills in the rooms. Through the entrance, you enter a small but functional kitchen. Behind it are the shower and toilet. In the sunny living room, there is a dining area, and there are nice lazy chairs in the sitting area. The room has plenty of closet space. The whole is decorated with a wallpaper by Ludolf Bakhuizen. Ludolf Bakhuizen was a 17th century painter known for his seascapes.

In the bedroom, there is a double box spring of 160x210cm, equipped with dimmable reading lamps. Next to the bedroom, there is an extra room with closets, a full-length mirror, a desk... so also suitable as a workplace.

The residence has its own sunny terrace.

If you come by car, there is parking at the gate. We have two parking spaces, one of which is intended for the guest house.

Logement “Smederij Sterk” is located in the old townsmithy of J. Strong. The monumental building dates back to 1907 and is located in the middle of the city center, close to museums, restaurants, cozy shopping streets and the station.
