Living on the water and at the beach. Many people dream of it. We rent our holiday home in Makkum located less than 75 meters from the beach and water (IJsselmeer). Makkum beach is very popular in the region.
My holiday home is on the De Holle Poarte recreation park, but is very sheltered with lots of privacy in a dune-like environment. You do not feel that you are in a holiday park and you can still use all the facilities. You can walk straight to the beach via the sandy path. WiFi is available in the home.

The house is very complete and modern in Scandinavian style (lots of white with wood) and has 6 sleeping places. The house is less than 75 meters from the beach. The house was completely renovated on the inside in 2016. The house is nicely furnished in Scandinavian style (white with wood) with retro look furniture. A whole new kitchen with dishwasher and oven has been installed. There is a filter coffee machine. There is also a completely new bathroom with a walk-in shower and washing machine. Central heating throughout the house. There is satellite TV and WiFi available.
There are two bedrooms (downstairs) and a loft (upstairs). (3x two people). In total there are 6 sleeping places.
On the spacious terrace is a complete modern lounge corner sofa and a dining table with chairs. On the terrace is sun all day (south). There is a parasol. A barbecue is also included. The outdoor shower is ideal when you return from the beach (hot and cold water).
In the shed are several beach chairs, sun beds that you can take to the beach. For the children there are various beach items available in the shed (a. Rubber boat, skimboard, scoops, buckets, etc). There are two bicycles available (1 women's bicycle and 1 men's bicycle).

Our "Fischerhaus", a completely renovated former horse stable in 2015, guarantees relaxing holidays in a high-quality, modern atmosphere: on the ground floor there is the large, light-flooded kitchen with modern kitchen (induction cooker, oven, refrigerator), a large dining table for 6-8 people and a sitting area with TV and water view. The spacious bathroom with double sink, toilet and large shower, an extra toilet next door and a bedroom with a double bed are also on the ground floor. The open stair-bridge construction leads to the upper floor, where there are two comfortably furnished bedrooms under the sloping roof (one with a double bed and one with two single beds).

The large glass door in the living area leads to the terrace directly by the water, where you can enjoy the sunset on the large wooden bench, have a barbecue or cast your rod from the jetty ...

In the farmhouse there is also a freely accessible kitchen where our guests can use the washing machine, dryer and vacuum cleaner. We also have a small guest farm shop with products from our own production as well as regional and ecological origin.

Animal lovers can look forward to our sheep and lambs, chickens and wild ducks, swallows and huge flocks of wild geese that fly across the farm in spring and autumn.

The use of a fishing boat with an outboard motor and two kayaks is included in the price. For canoe tours with several people, we recommend canoe rentals in the village and bike tours in Makkum.

- "Wir (2 Eltern, 4 Kinder zwischen 14 und 1) haben eine Woche in der Star Villa 2 verbracht. Das Haus ist wunderschön und ruhig gelegen, genau am Rand des Parks mit dem Kanal mit Anlegeplatz direkt am Haus und dem Blick aufs IJsselmeer. Der Garten und die Außenanlagen sind sehr schön angelegt und gut gepflegt, die Terrasse mit Kanal- und Meerblick ein Traum. Der Strand ist in Laufweite (einmal durch den Park), nach Makkum kann man laufen, mit dem Auto ist es aber bequemer. Wir hatten bewusst die letzte Ferienwoche gewählt, und so war es nicht mehr so voll wie vielleicht in der Hauptsaison, wenn alle Ferien haben. Es gibt diverse Angebote im Park (Fahrräder, Boote etc. mieten, Minigolf, etc.), von denen wir nur das Minigolf genutzt haben (eine schöne Anlage, die gut in Schuss ist). Mit dem Wetter hatten wir Glück. Auch wenn es Mitte September natürlich kein ideales Badewetter mehr ist, hatten unsere Kids am Strand viel Spaß und waren auch mehrfach im Wasser. Das Wasser am Strand ist mehrere -zig Meter hinaus noch ziemlich flach, also ideal auch für kleine Kinder. Das Haus selber war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und die Einrichtung war sehr hochwertig. Auch und gerade in der Küche war alles in ausreichender Menge und hoher Qualität vorhanden. Die technischen Geräte waren alle neu und sehr hochwertig, an Werkzeugen, Geschirr und Besteck hat wirklich nichts gefehlt. Alles in allem ist das Haus so eingerichtet, als würde der Eigentümer selbst dort wohnen, wir haben keinen "billig-Kram" oder "gut genug für ein Ferienhaus für eine Woche" gefunden. Die Star Villa 2 hat eine offene Galerie unter dem Dach (keine Stehhöhe für Erwachsene), diese haben unsere beiden großen sehr genossen, weil sie ihr eigenes Reich (mit eigenem TV) hatten. Besonders angenehm fanden wir, dass wir keine Bettwäsche und Handtücher mitnehmen mussten - alles war vor Ort vorhanden, die Betten fertig bezogen. Ein Luxus fast wie im Hotel. ;-) Leider haben wir die Vermieterin nicht persönlich kennen gelernt, sie war aber telefonisch jederzeit erreichbar, super-freundlich und konnte alle offenen Fragen kurzfristig klären. Wir kamen etwas später an als ursprünglich geplant, da waren die Läden in Makkum schon geschlossen. Ihr Tip mit dem Nachbarort Harlingen war goldrichtig, dort war der "Jumbo" noch bis 21 Uhr geöffnet. Es gibt in der Umgebung noch einiges zu sehen und zu unternehmen, was wir in der Kürze der Zeit nicht geschafft haben. Fahrradfahren biet"

Our "garden house" is a completely overhauled wooden house (chalet) with Scandinavian flair at the beginning of 2017: colors, furnishings, the compact layout as well as a beautiful view of the terrace, garden and the wide landscape provide a cozy atmosphere and guarantee you a relaxing vacation.

The garden house houses a kitchen on the ground floor with a kitchenette, dining table for 6 people and a cozy seating area for watching TV and with a view and access to the terrace and garden.
