It’s close to the train station (pro tip: you can cut through the mall instead of walking all the way around the block!), and we had the most amazing meal ever at SMAAK, which is conveniently situated in the alleyway directly behind the hotel. There’s a Starbucks right next door and a grocery store nearby, and it’s within walking distance of the canal district with all its shops and restaurants, and there’s a bike rental shop close by as well. The room itself was clean and they had washcloths in the bathroom (the only hotel of the three we stayed in on our trip to the Netherlands who offered them), and the front desk was happy to hold our luggage for us on our arrival and departure days when we had some additional exploring to do. The bed was much larger than I expected for a European hotel and super comfortable. It looks like the rooms were updated recently. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. The only issue I had was some of the clothes I hung in the closet ended up smelling a bit musty...like an old closet. LOL. I got the package with breakfast and it was the perfect way to start my day! Lots of options, friendly staff, and the food was quite good."

The place was immaculately clean. The location meant it was handy to get into the centre by bus (a few minutes walk away) with good connections to main roads and sufficient parking.
