Given the newness of the hotel, I was surprised by this. - Conditioner is not supplied, only shampoo. This isn't an issue for everyone, but as someone with longer hair, it's a must! - The air conditioning is prone to resetting itself after a few hours, which is frustrating after a long day being out and about. A few times we came back to the room being quite warm, and the circulation isn't ideal so it would take a while to finally cool down. - There's a lot of security theatre at the hotel - buzzing in for driving in or walking up is required, as is the card for both the elevator and the door to your floor itself. Not really a downside per-se, but it was a bit annoying after a while, so it's good to be aware of it beforehand! Again, overall I had a wonderful stay and would still recommend. All in all, I would choose this place again if I was to go back to Amersfoort. If you require a wheelchair I must mention that they don’t have a lift and stairs are quite narrow but something that one can get used to after a day. There is also no air conditioning but there is a fan which works well if it isn’t so hot. The temperature wasn’t bad when we were there so the fan was sufficient but any degree hotter and we would have struggled. "

Nice, cosy and well maintained garden house at walking distance (5 min.) of the historical centre of Amersfoort. You have your own entrance, good facilities and a lot of flexibility from our side to make your stay as comfortable as you wish (eg bike rental, breakfast, parking). The house is suitable for five persons, ideal for families. On the first floor a living room, kitchen, sleeping corner and bath room. On the second a large bedroom. You are very welcome! We speak English, Deutsch and French.

In the area there are a lot of public parcs (eg park Randenbroek). You can always lend our bikes and museum passes to explore the rest of the (green) area, like Soesterduinen or 'de Utrechtse Heuvelrug', Austerlitz or surrounding villages. Amsterdam is only 30 min by train and Utrecht 15 min. You are in the heart of the Netherlands!
