Walking through the center of Alkmaar, with a boat ride the canals, with the train easy and fast to Amsterdam, everything is possible in Alkmaar! The city never bores !! There are plenty of waterways to explore by boat and there is, of course, the renowned cheese market. We also discovered the Sint-Laurenskerk, Alkmaar's main church which, while being very beautiful, also boasts two world famous organs. We're not normally church people, but we happened to visit on a day when the organist was practising and were treated to some pretty impressive acoustics! The house itself was ideally situated. Right on the canal and so close to the old part of town it was perfect for visiting the sites and also watching all the boats go by. Being an old house it has plenty of character but is also equipped with all of the things needed for modern living. It also comes with a nearby private parking garage and Simon was good enough to allow us the use of his parking permit so that we could park on the road outside of the house too. All in all, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time here, highly recommended!! "

Im Innen- als auch Aussenbereich sehr schön und großzügig eingerichtet. Die Highlights sind z.B. die super bequemen Betten und die tolle Terrasse direkt an einer Wasserstrasse. In der großen Küche findet man wirklich alles was man braucht. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Innenstadt von Alkmaar sind bequem mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Auch Bergen an Zee, Hoorn usw. haben wir von hier aus mit dem Fahrrad erkundet - Super Radwege - auch durch die Dünen ! Den Bahnhof kann man zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreichen und dann mit dem Zug z.B. Amsterdam besuchen. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und können diese Wohnung nur weiter empfehlen."

I like to rent out a spacious bedroom with 2 boxsprings and all accessories.You can get your breakfast in your room for 5 Euro p.p., and can also come downstairs in the bright kitchen to breakfast, or in the garden. You share the shower and toilet next to your room with me. The entire house is pleasant and bright, near the Geestmerambacht recreation area and Bergen aan Zee and Schoorl. For 12.50 p.p. you can request an evening meal.

My home is a 20-minute walk to the center and train station. You can travel to Amsterdam by train in 35 minutes. The sea and forest are easy accesible.

Oudorp is a lovely place to stay. A quiet village located at the edge of Alkmaar. The cozy center of Alkmaar with its terraces , squares, canals and the cheese market is 2 km away. At 10km are the seaside resorts Egmond and Bergen aan Zee. The entire coast to Den Helder is the sea, beach and dunes. Does the area have more to offer? yes. Volendam, Amsterdam, Hoorn, Enkhuizen all within a radius of 30 km.

The space
Once you are in your room, you have a great view over the polder and in the spring over the flower bulb fields. On the beds of 90-210 cm sleeps wonderfully quietly, because the street of the house is dead walking, so no traffic. Your room on the second floor spacious and bright. Breakfast is in the fridge, tea and coffee as much as you want. The bathroom with bath is on the first floor. The bathrobes are hanging ready. Bikes can be in the storage room where there is also a charging point. What I do want you to be at home at midnight and at 12.30 am silence. On the day of departure, you are supposed to leave the room by 11:00 a.m. You are warmly welcome and I hope for a nice stay for you

Beautiful room, you walk into the old town center, close to the beach and dune area of Bergen Egmond and Schoorl 20 min. drive.
At 5 min. walking from the train station.

My house is about 15 minutes by car to the beach but also wonderful to cycle in half an hour. It is about 10 minutes walk to the center of Alkmaar with the weekly cheese market, Saturday market, restaurants and eateries. The nearby Heilooër forest is great for hiking.
Within half an hour, you can be in Amsterdam or at the coast and dunes by car or train.
My place is suitable for families but also for couples.

The space
Through the nice front garden you enter our house and immediately end up in the spacious kitchen with open doors to the garden. Because we love to cook ourselves, our kitchen is well equipped with all kinds of appliances.
Through beautiful stained glass sliding doors, you enter the sunny front room where you can chill on the sofa with a book or watch a movie.
The staircase leads to the first floor where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom.
On the third floor, there is a spacious attic with a double bed and a sofa bed for two people.
