- "Lovely, spacious apartment. The apartment faces South West so was great to sit out on the balcony on a sunny afternoon / evening. " - "We had high expectations of our 6 day stay in Warmond after a week in the Belgian polderland. The descriptions and photography of Kaag Resort looked promising but don't tell the full story. Yes every apartment has a balcony looking at the marina, but it also looks at the railway line which has trains every 10 minutes at peak times but on the other side is an industrial estate which you have to drive through for access to the hotel site. The Kaag resort signage states that the resort is spacious, luxurious and stylish - the reality is that fittings are fairly basic, furniture is worn, cleanliness is not great and there is little to make the newly arrived guest feel welcome. Value for money is OK and the location is good for visits to Leiden, Den Haag / Scheveningen. We enjoyed our time in Warmond and in our opinion Kaag Resort is Fair and quite a long way from Good."

- "The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive. The only drawback was the lack of a balcony to enjoy the view and warm evenings" - "As part of an Interrail holiday, we stayed at Kaag Resort for 5 nights as a family of five. The apartment was really great, especially the large living area with integrated kitchen and nice big dining table. There was also a view directly onto the harbour. Warmond is also a very nice place with a great bathing area, park and playground. We rented a boat on the last day and enjoyed the view. On another evening, we went bowling in an equally fantastic bowling centre nearby. On two days we went to Amsterdam. On paper, it looked a bit complicated at first (bus to Leiden Centraal and from there with the many trains to Amsterdam), but in reality it was no problem at all."

About this space:
A modern 85 m2 family-friendly apartment with two bedrooms and a huge living room. It is situated in the historic city center of Leiden, close to a beautiful park Plantsoen and within walking distance from cafes and shops. The apartment is on the ground floor of the house-monument, there are no stairs, and it has a separate entrance. It is over 300 years old, though renovated in 2021 following Dutch minimalism design principles.

The space:
The entrance door has a smart lock with a code that you receive after reservation. The place is equipped for both short and long stays.
The kitchen has an induction cooktop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, plates and cups, cutlery, smart vacuum cleaner, etc. If you don't like to eat at the bar in the kitchen, the salon table can be transformed into a dining table. In the Living Room, you will find a PROJECTOR with Chromecast. Perfect to practice a business presentation or watch a movie together. With Chromecast you can watch some popular streaming services and also login with your account.
Each room has a desk for working (3 WORKING SPOTS) and there is also a monitor available. The WIFI is FAST, with good reception in each room. The wifi password is in the welcome-set book. The bathroom has all the necessary amenities as well as some extras such as hand cream, body cream, and scrub. The apartment has also a WASHING MACHINE and a DRYER that you can use at no extra costs. If you are missing something, don't hesitate to message us.
The place has enough beds for 6 PEOPLE + 1 BABY: 1 KING SIZE BED, 1 CRIB, 1 DOUBLE BED, and 2 SINGLE BEDS. If you would like us to prepare an additional sleeping place #5 or #6 please let us know in advance.
We also have 4 BICYCLES AVAILABLE, you can use them at no extra costs. There is no deposit needed, however, if you lose the bike you would have to pay 250 EUR. Also, If you break the bike, you would have to pay the reparation costs.
Guest access
You can arrive on foot - the Central Station is 20 minutes away walking. You can also take a bus 169, or 182 direction Alphen and exit at Bus Stop Kraaierstraat in front of the house.

Parking:
You can park anywhere on the street. You can use the app "easypark" to register the parking or pay at the parking machine. Street parking is free at night from 9 pm till 9 am and Sunday until 13:00. You need to pay for parking on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sa from 9.00-21.00 and on Sunday from 13.00-21.00. The price is 3,20 EUR per hour with a maximum of 20 EUR per day.

To leave the car at a monitored location, the underground city parking "Garenmarkt" at the end of the street (Korevaarstraat 26) is a good option. Garenmarkt is closed at night from 2 am till 7 am. The fee there is 3,10 EUR per hour with a maximum of 20 EUR per day.

Free parking is available outside the historic city center. Leiden is quite safe so, if you don’t need the car in front of the house, it is quite a good choice to leave it outside the city center for free. Just make sure to park outside those zones on the map and that there are no park machines or paid parking signs.

If your car is electric there are many e-chargers on the street around the house.

Other things to note
This apartment is a safe place for people with airborne allergies and those afraid to get infectious diseases such as Covid. Each room has independent ventilation- the incoming air goes through the ionizer, carbon, and HEPA filters, then is heated (heat pump) or cooled down (Airco) depending on the season enters and leaves each room without recycling or mixing with other spaces. The apartment is professionally cleaned after each guest.

There are no stairs, steps, or obstacles of any kind. Wheelchairs can roll in directly from the street.

Where you’ll be
Our apartment is situated in the historic city center of Leiden ( 3 minutes cycling to Breestraat or 4 minutes cycling to Haarlemmerstraat - main shopping streets). French bakery, traditional fish shop & flowers are just around the corner. There are many student houses around, so the atmosphere is nice. The apartment is situated on the first floor of house-monument. There is no garden, but we have a very beautiful park Plantsoen in front- so it is nice for running, reading book or having a picnic.

Getting around
The supermarket is 20 meters away from the house. 100 meters in front, there is a beautiful park - Plantsoen - with a track to run, benches for a picnic, a small Aviary (bird zoo), and a playground for kids. For snacks or takeaway dinner, there is a very nice fish shop at block corner. If you want to try Dutch traditional food ask for Kibbeling and, if you are adventurous, ask for herring. For fresh bread, there is a french bakery behind the house. You are in the historic city center, so there are dozen of restaurants, bars, and snack bars around.

We absolutely loved Leiden and this house was in the most convenient and lovely spot. The house is well appointed and has everything one needs. It is next to a grocery store and just minutes by walking to canals, great restaurants, and shopping. Leiden is an incredibly clean and friendly college town and I have since been recommending to all of my friends to visit. My sons had a great time walking late at night, and I never felt that they were unsafe in any way. The only thing to note is that there is just one bathroom and only two bedrooms, but we managed just fine. The owner was just fabulous. We will definitely recommend this apartment and will go back!"

- "Excellent communication and organisation. Very clean and good facilities. Nice view from specious terrace. The only drawback is the proximity to the railway tracks." - "This was the second time we stayed at this property. Wonderful location and very responsive to requests. We will stay there again. A couple nitpicky things - light in the bathroom wasnt working, but they couldnt fix it until the next day, which meant a dark bathroom the first night. - "Mooi appartement en omgeving. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor stad en strand." - "We have been many times for long periods and, in general, the apartments are all quite nice and well located. Nice view. There difference per apartments in the maintenance of the apartments, and the quality of the equipment. The apartment 21 has some issues: the sofa looks old and is falling a pieces. The arm rest are discolored.The beds are not good, and the bed linen are old and with holes! The pillows are terrible (in most of the flats we are been are bad!). We carry our own pillows because of that. The corridor carpet was soiled and in the 3 weeks we were was not cleaned. Hope that my remarks can help to improve the quality of these fine apartments. We keep coming back."

Wij zijn geboren en getogen Leidenaars en ons verblijf is gelegen in een pand waar onze familie al meer dan 50 jaar eigenaar van is. In onze straat, de Hugo de Grootstraat, heerst alle rust maar toch ligt het centrum van Leiden op een steenworp afstand. In 2022/2023 is het monumentale pand (uit 1892) volledig gerenoveerd en zijn wij in 2024 gestart met Veldhorst Apartments.

The villa is a historic monument with a large garden and terrace. A bus stop is in front of the house and free parking space on the road. The quiet and large guest room has a double bed (2 persons), antique furniture, WIFI, television, comfortable sitting space, and a private south/west balcony. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace, in the dining room or in their private room.

Fully refurbished to an exceptional standard during the 2020 lockdown, this airy and light apartment was built in 1675 and sits in the heart of the old town. beautiful exposed beams and oak flooring combined with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities create a unique feeling of period luxury. Access to the apartment is via shared entrance and it lies in the 'achter-house' up two staircases and so escapes the noise of the street. There is bicycle storage possible by prior arrangements.

Our house (115 m2) offers state of the art luxury and is uniquely situated in the old town of Leiden. It is located near to the railway station and comes with the use of a parking space. Enjoy the beautiful city of Leiden, or take a train to Amsterdam (30 mins.), Rotterdam (30 mins.) or The Hague (10 mins). Schiphol Airport is 15 mins. away by train and 20 mins. by car. Leiden's shops, bars, museums, and restaurants are within walking distance of our house.

Our house (115 m2) was built in 2016 and comes equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen and bathroom. The living room is spacious and offers a view of the courtyard. The bedroom overlooks Leiden's historic city centre.

Warmond is on the lakes so you get a boattrip 5 minutes from the house. Also 8 km from the sea ( we recommend Noordwijk) and 5 minutes from university town Leiden which just as nice as Amsterdam. Amsterdam by the way is only 25 minutes away by car or train.

The room is at the 2nd floor of a typical modern dutch house and has been newly refurnished to give a warm and homey feeling.

Guest access
You will have your own private room. The newly renovated and modern shower and bathroom will be shared with us. You are welcome to use our kitchen and we never mind cooking for our guests or trying out new dishes. On a sunny day you can also chill in the garden.

You need something? Just ask! We will see what we can do. We have 2 bikes you can choose from to roam around and quickly reach the train station or the nearby grocery. The house is just 10 min away from Leiden Centaal by bus. And 5 min to station De Vink

We take pride in our home as with our hospitality. We want our guests to always feel welcome and taken care of as we would ourselves. This is the house we live in and we love it: my husband and our two daughters of age 13 and 15. And two cats! We list our house on airbnb for when we are on vacation, so it is not that often. Occasionally we rent it out to scientists/students who are attending a conference/course in Leiden for a few days. You always need to contact us first.

The space
We love our house. The view from the groundfloor level (living quarters, open kitchen, fire place) is so beautiful: unobstructed view of a wide, city canal lined by old-fashioned lanterns. Green trees in the summer, frozen ice in the winter. The street is very quite (dead-end), except on warm summer days, when recreational boats pass through the canal and wave at us with glasses of white wines;-) Part of the atmosphere of the street comes from the many student houses, who have regular BBQ's at the canal side, and sometimes invite the surrounding neighbors. Our backyard has easy access with two open doors from the open kitchen/living quarters. Open (new!) kitchen has a stained glass roof. We also have a piano. Outside: some chairs to sit and a lounge set with low table. Pretty secluded for a city backyard. First floor has a master bedroom on the back side of the house, with a balcony and view on the yard. Study with large bookshelf and desk is on the front side, with a great view over the canals. THe study also has a couch that can turn into a 1.5 bed. Small room on the canal side is our wardrobe, we keep this room for ourselves with personal items we remove during the rental period. Separate toilet. Bathroom with bath and separate shower. Double sink. Second floor holds the two other bedrooms from our girls. One has a double bed (extendable), the other has a high sleeper (1 person). The pictures are old - both rooms are less childish now;-) Second bathroom with toilet inside and shower (plus washing machine/dryer).

Other things to note
We have two cats. A mother called Maupiti (white) and her son called Ponyo. If you are allergic for cats (hair), you should not rent our house. It would be great if you could take care of our cats (indoor and outdoor) when you come. There is an automatic cat window- they come in and out. The litter box is usually also outside.

You get the best of both worlds in VIANOVA SINGLE PERSON apartment on central but quiet location in the historic city of Leiden.
The entrance will be used by you and the owner who is living upstairs. You will have downstairs your own little room with kitchenette and patio outside. Your toilet and bathroom (bathtub,shower) are near the room in the corridor, all downstairs.
The bed has an antibacterial gold de luxe gel mattress ( 2020, 90x2.00m )
Washer and disher available in the bathroom.

The space
A SINGLE PERSON apartment on ground floor, luxury bathroom with tub and shower, a small patio growed over with green plants, kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Located in the centre of the old city of Leiden, but also quiet place. A variety of restaurants in different price classes are around the corner. In the neighbourhood all kind of take away or delivery meals are possible. Shops, musea, and Europe 's oldest theatre are on walking distance. Also university and LUMC(academical hospital) are nearby.

Also for long term renting with a maximum of three month.

The apartment is suited for a single person who has to be in Leiden because of work, research, teaching or conferencing.
It’s located in the centre of Leiden. The owner of the house is living upstairs.
Downstairs you will have your room with a kitchenette, microwave and frigerator. In the hall there are your private toilet and bathroom.
Shops, restaurants, musea, University, LUMC are on walking distance.
No smoking!
Busstop for Station, Bioscience Park, Estec is on 5 minutes.

You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the high ceilings, and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. You can get vegan breakfast in your room, you can't personally use our kitchen !There is a kettle and combi oven microwave in the room.Also plates , cups , tea and coffee and personal fridge . I always fill up the fridge with all the basic plant base breakfast goodies.

Walking distance from central station and shops. Not recommended for guests with weak knees because there are 17 steps to the room and they on the steap side. I am happy to help with carrying your luggage upstairs.

During your stay
I am happy to interact with my guests ( sometimes not possible because of my busy lifestyle especially in the summmer). If you rather I stay out your way I am also happy with that so let me know what suits you most.

Perfect for longer term visitors to Leiden University, BioScience Park, hospitals, international post docs, and students. Also great for tourists and cyclists visiting beaches, gardens, and museums in Leiden, Haarlem, Amsterdam and The Hague region. Own private outdoor patio space, with table and chairs. For short stays, the studio is adequate for 1-2 guests; for longer stays, it is better for 1 person. Strong wifi signal.

Guests can expect a pleasant, comfortable, private space which is conveniently located to the downtown and public transportation. Access is on the ground floor (no steps), with your own private, locking door, so you can come and go as you please. Guests have their own private patio, including table and chairs. The window in the studio looks out onto a quiet (owner's) garden.

Other things to note
There is a pantry area, including fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle, toaster, grilled cheese sandwich maker, dishes, and cutlery, so you can prepare coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, and other light meals. The table extends, and there are two stools. This is basically a studio apartment with 1 or 2 single beds. When one person is using it, one single bed is set up. When there are 2 guests, the trundle bed is pulled out and set up next to the other bed. The beds are exactly the same, and both have comfortable deluxe mattresses. The price includes required local tourist tax of €3.50 per person per night .

The space
B&B Leiden is located within a few minutes walk from Leiden Central Station.

Within a 10 minute walk from the B&B, you'll find yourself in the centre of this historical city. A city with a unique atmosphere and history, Leiden is home to the oldest University in the Netherlands, where many members of the Dutch royal family have studied. In addition to Leiden University, Leiden houses a beautiful botanical garden, with a stunning Japanese garden, which is just a stone's throw from the Pieterskerk, a monumental church built in the 14th century. On your way back to the B&B, you'll walk through Leiden's charming shopping area, with a wide variety of unique shops as well as a selection of bars and restaurants catering to every taste.

The B&B boasts a cosy, bright bedroom and a bathroom for personal use with both a rain shower and a bathtub. The room is also equipped with HDTV, Wifi, hairdryer, a charger for your telephone or iPod and coffee & tea. Each morning you'll be treated to an elaborate breakfast of your choice.

The room is at the first floor but be aware that the stairs are rather steep which is typical for Dutch houses.
