Only small things to consider, a spoon for hot drinks in the room (or wooden stirrers if you don't want to wash up) a price list for the minibar so you know what you are buying, we weren't sure if the water was included or not? In our spacious family home, you will stay in a cozy single room on the first floor (stairs) and have a dining room with kitchenette that you share with a second guest. The bathroom upstairs is shared by 4 people. There is a separate toilet for the guests.
There is a bakery and takeaway pizza point around the corner and two supermarkets 500 meters away.
Your (electric) bike can be safely stored.
Your car can be parked for free across the street, on the site of the old car wash.

Guest access
You have a single room on the first floor and can use the dining room with kitchenette, the bathroom, the toilet and the roof terrace. With the house key, you can easily enter and exit through the front door. Both guest rooms also have their own key.

I don't have my phone on hand all the time. If you need me urgently, just knock on the kitchen door.

You will preferably arrive after 5 p.m. and leave before 11 a.m. This gives us time to prepare the room for new guests.

This studio is located on an ideal base to explore the woodland region: 1 km from the market of Torhout.

The studio is centrally located to discover the coast, but also historical cities such as Bruges, Ghent, Kortrijk and Ypres.

Private bedroom downstairs a historic fully renovated 4 story townhouse which is decorated in Scandinavian style. Notice that our Airbnb is just outside The centre of Bruges, but we have good acces with public transport to the citycenter and free parking!

Our house is located at Baron Ruzettelaan 256, Assebroek.

The room is spacious & have a separate entrance. Above the room is a shared toilet and you share with us our new modern bathroom on the first floor. Our kitchen is not allowed to use.

The space
The room is located in the sous - solle and there's is a big window that provides the room of natural light! The room is on the streetside of a busy road so there is noise from the cars.

There is a double bed, a small closet with some books a chair and a clothing rack to hang your clothes. All is nice decoraties in an electic style. WIFI and heat are provided in the room. In your room you find also a hot water cooker to make a fresh cup of tea or an instant coffee and fresh water. Plates and glasses are provided in the room!

The shared bathroom on a different floor is fully renovated, modern and luxurious. The bathroom is on the first floor. We will give you towels and you can use shampoo and soap. Also there is a hairdryer that can be used.

Our house hasn’t lockers on the doors from your room neither on the toilet and bathroom. We use lights outside to indicate that it is occupied or not.

Guest access
During your stay you have access to your bedroom and shared bathroom on the first floor. There is an extra toilet on the mean floor that can be used as well. Smoking is not allowed inside.

If you want you can park the car on the street it is free. If you stay more days we recommend to rent some bikes which you can storage safe in our garage during your stay!

The other rooms are used by us as a family and we hope you respect our privacy, we will do the same with your room!

During your stay
We will welcome you and guide you through the house. In your room you will find guide with our favourite restaurants, shops and trips. Also a citymap will be in your room.

If you need any help during stay you can find us (when we are home) upstairs or give us a call or message!

Other things to note
We have a cat which is very friendly and nice but which will be moving free through the house. She will not enter your room and mostly she is relaxing in the living room. Please pay attention when you open the doors that she not run into the street.

The private room is the only room with a stone floor. The rest of the floors and stairs (50) are from wood so they make noise when you walk on it. The road in front off the room can be busy so noise off the passing cars is possible. Although during night (22.00-7.00) this is less! In your room you find ear plugs if you are a sensitive sleeper like me

During the week we are working so we will leave our home around 7.30. During weekends we are at home or you can find us outside relaxing and enjoying life with our two kids!

Notice that we offer a familyhome so most of the times our two kids will be at home and they can make some noise.

On Wednesday afternoon comes our cleaning lady between 12.30o'clock and 16.300'clock so this means that there will be more noise and that the shower is only available after 16.30 o'clock

You come by bus:
The bus will drop you off at the back of the station. I myself live 2.5 km from the front of the station. You can easily get through the station to the front.
You arrive by train:
In the station, you take the exit towards the city center.
In both cases, you can take bus 20 at the station square, get off at the stop "Tir", then it is not so far to my house.

If you come on foot from the station or by car, make sure that Google takes the right street because in Bruges there are several streets that start with Karel.

Ideal place to sleep/stay for backpackers, low budget travelers, travelers who want to stay in company. The home is inhabited by myself, so do not expect a completely free/empty home. There will be my own things, but there will also be an empty closet space for guests, for example. Don't expect ultra modern but a spacious home surrounded by green. There is a living in the house, but everything is fine to enjoy a quiet stay.

The space
There is one large bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed (so children can sleep with the parents if desired) and 2 children's rooms with a loft bed (beds on the length of an adult).
There's a spacious kitchen, bathroom, spacious living and dining space, and storage space (can be used to store big things like a buggy, bikes etc.).
There are two gardens of which one play paradise for the children (trampoline, swing, 2 slides, towers with bridge, sandpit, playhouse, ...) and one quiet garden surrounded by greenery, flowers, trees and 2 ponds (covered with a grid out of safety for the children). For those who love camping... setting up a tent in the garden is also always possible.

Guests can use the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living and dining area, games room for the children, storage space, 2 gardens.
How many and which bedrooms the guests wish to book can be agreed via a personal message.

During your stay
Normally I will be home during the stay so you can always appeal to me directly. If I'm not at home, I'll be easily reachable by email or cell phone.

Do you want to fully book the house, without my presence? This can be discussed via a personal message.

Other things to note
Do not expect a home that is specific and only available for hosting. I myself still live in the house with my 3 children. However, every week the children stay with the mom, I have some free rooms and it is too quiet in the house. That's why I set up my home for guests in my childless weeks.
So my children will not be present in the house during your stay. I am normally there myself. Do you want to fully book the house, without my presence? This can be discussed via a personal message.
