Upon arrival the caravan stunk There was mould in the fridge with leftover food which had also gone mouldy Wee in the toilet No gas/water/electric upon arrival we had to wait for the owner to.tell us how to plumb this... after 2.5 hours of waiting. The oven had no shelves for us to cook and only 1 hob worked. We decided to leave within 3 hours of being there once we found alternative arrangement. The owner refused to refund our 3 night stay aswell deeming it in acceptable condition."

This should have been made clear in the listing to avoid confusion. Overall, the lack of transparency in the listing led to unexpected costs and limited our experience. Welcome to The Rose-Marie Lodge, a recently renovated 3/4-bedroom chalet bungalow designed with ultimate comfort and accessibility in mind
This holiday let is perfect for multiple wheelchair users, as 2 of the downstairs bedrooms offer full accessibility, with one featuring a profiling bed, ceiling hoist, and a large well equipped en-suite wet-room, with a mobile shower trolley, high low sink and shower chair.
While the other bedroom can have a profiling bed and mobile hoist or a sofa bed.
There is a 3rd smaller downstairs bedroom with a double bed for carers or family. With a separate shower room and toilet.
At the rear of the property there is a large lounge kitchen diner, which leads onto the large accessible patio overlooking the lovely garden. We understand that pets are family too, which is why this bungalow is dog-friendly
From the kitchen is a wide door which opens onto a ramp for wheelchair access from the drive.

The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine and dish washer.

Upstairs is a large master bedroom with another shower room.

You'll also have off-road parking available for one large WAV and one car.

Across the road from Clacton Garden centre with a lovely café.

The heart of the house is the open plan living area, with a modern kitchen/dining room and open plan lounge with smart TV. Large patio doors open onto a single level patio and a ramp leads you down to the large enclosed garden.

One downstairs bedroom features a profiling bed and ceiling hoist which travels through to the en-suite wet room. The wet room itself is a large, well-equipment bathroom with high/low sink, mobile shower trolley and tilting shower chair. A mobile hoist is also available for use if required.

Downstairs you’ll also find a double bedroom with separate bathroom, as well as a snug which is perfect for taking some time out. The snug can be set up as a sofa bed to add an additional bedroom if required. Upstairs you’ll find a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

There is off-road parking available for one large WAV and one car. There are two doors to access the house - one at the front via a ramp, or wide door down the side of the house suitable for wheelchairs.

We understand that pets are family too, which is why this bungalow is dog-friendly. WiFi is available throughout.

Location: The house is located just a 5 minute drive from Clacton-on-Sea seafront and main town. There are a number of amenities just a few minutes walk away, including a small supermarket, fish and chip shop andcafe.

Most amenities on site, and close by, are open - and passes may be required on site and can be purchased at reception.

The whole caravan. Use of all the site facilities are available too during opening months but some (swimming) may require a pass.

Other things to note
The caravan will be cleaned after every use and I expect guests to leave it clean tidy please. Antibacterial wipes/spray and other cleaning materials are always provided. Thank you.

This caravan does not have central heating but has plug in heaters. During winter months it is advisable to bring hot water bottles. The caravan is double glazed throughout so does not get as cold as most caravans.

Parkdean Wifinity is available on the caravan park.

Parking is very close by but you will need to walk past about 5 caravans to get to this one. Please do not drive or park on the grass.

I take stealing very seriously. This is our home, please respect it.

Consists of 1x double bed and if needed a foldable floor mattress single bed and travel cot with mattress, which will class as 3rd and/or 4th person. All come with beds pre-made but 3rd and 4th person would be chargeable.

THIS IS NON-SMOKING. If you do smoke of any kind, then please do this outside the property grey gates. We’ve had instances where guests have smoke in the door of the accommodation and ash has come back in and burnt the bedding.

If you’d like the bed put away, please message through AirBnB and this can be done for you. Although easy it is heavy.

Also breakfast isn’t included, if you’d like to book a takeaway breakfast, Please let me know by 8pm the night before and this is delivered between 7am-8am, the next morning.

You can gain access to the park anytime. The reception is open until 7pm Monday. 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and 8pm Fridays. After that, the call button on the entrance barrier will get you straight through to security to gain access.

Situated in Martello Beach Holiday Park, my caravan is a short walk from some of the best beaches Clacton has to offer.
I also have lots of additional outside space as my caravan is situated at the end of a row.

I have a strict no smoking policy, anyone breaking this rule will get a claim towards them to cover the cost of a deep clean.

The space
I am a crafter and my caravan does reflect this. Almost everything decorative, as well as the painting and decorating, is done by myself, so this space probably feels and looks a bit different than your average caravan (hence the quirky in the title)

I do have some lego on display, so take care if you have small children so they don't swallow anything.

I use my caravan myself all the time, so my personal things will be around, albeit tidied away. There is a guest wardrobe you can use to hang your clothes, and a drawer is also cleared out for your use.

Guest access
You get access to the whole caravan and the outside area on my plot. You also get access to the clubhouse, restaurant, pools etc on the park. You need a guest pass to be able to use the park amenities, but that will be provided for you upon arrival.

Other things to note
I use this caravan all the time myself when I'm not away for work, I love it here. So please be aware that my stuff and most likely some of my food will be around. I will have tidied this away of course and you will have lots of space to hang your clothes etc.

There's a TV with a fire stick, with Netflix, Disney + and Amazon Prime.
The TV also have a dvd-player, I have lots of dvd's in the cupboards.
