Mooie tuin, heel veel bloemen. Perfect om ’s avonds buiten te zitten in de schaduw. De keuken is goed uitgerust en handig ingericht. Ik kwam nergens iets tekort. Ook in de living en eetkamer veel mooie snuisterijtjes. TV met Nederlandstalige zenders, radio, Wifi, allemaal in orde. Veel documentatie over de streek. Elektrische fietsen zijn beschikbaar en die zijn een pluspunt om deze landelijke streek, met nogal wat hellinkjes, goed te kunnen verkennen. Er zijn veel begraafplaatsen en andere herinneringen aan WO I in de buurt. Aanraders in de omgeving zijn provinciaal domein Palingbeek, de stad Ieper met musea en shopping, Passendale Memorial Centre en het kasteelpark errond. Ook Kortrijk is met de fiets bereikbaar via een prachtige tocht langs de Leie. Enige nadeel met het warme zomerweer was het serre-effect van de veranda. In het tussenseizoen zal dat dan weer een voordeel zijn 😊."

Bikes were available to use and looked in great condition, unfortunately we didn't get chance to use them, hopefully next time. Ypres is an amazing place to visit, unbelievably clean and tidy, with such rich history. I highly recommend it as a place to visit and Sven's place is the perfect base to explore it from. The unit is located in old town Ypres near the rampart walking path 15 min from Menin gate. All the memorials and WWI sites are within an 10 to 15 min drive. Ypres is beautiful and we would recommend a few days here to visit Flanders. "

The house has been lovingly renovated and tastefully furnished by the friendly owners who live next door. Comfort and usability have been considered in all rooms. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer and you can enjoy the Italian shower. The four bedrooms are furnished with delicious box spring beds. The bathroom on the floor is shared by the two bedrooms. In the garden you can spend hours in the luxurious garden set. This part of the Westhoek is less hilly and is therefore even easier for cycling families. The city center of Ypres with its famous buildings like the Men's Gate, the Cloth Hall with the Flanders Fields Museum and the cozy squares is only a 5-minute drive from the Kapelhof. With children go to Plopsaland De Panne or amusement park Bellewaerde. In nice weather you can reach the beautiful sandy beaches of the Belgian coast in half an hour. For a cultural day we recommend the art cities Bruges and Lille (F). In the cottage you will be pampered, your beds are made on arrival and the towels are ready.

The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is well appointed. The toilet, with it's own basin, is separate to the shower and the main basin and vanity. There is a small, shady courtyard you can use to relax when you're not out touring. It's a 3-4 minute walk to the Menin Gate where you can see the Last Post ceremony nightly at 8pm. It's approximately 15 minutes walk from Ieper Station. Spar supermarket is about 7 minutes walk. This is more expensive than Aldi, which is about 17 minutes walk. Google maps sent me to Lidl which is not built yet so check Lidl's site before going there :) "

- "The apartment is in a perfect location, very close to Menin Gate and the town square. We were warmly greeted and found the studio to be very clean, well planned, and much thought has been given to the needs of short-stay travellers. It is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Many restaurants nearby, as well as convenience stores and supermarkets within walking distance. We found it easy to get to and from the train and bus station, about 15min walk, 20min with luggage. Highly recommend a visit to Zonnebeke via 94 bus, to visit the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917. I would not hesitate to stay in this beautiful studio again."

The vacation home is located in a unique natural area, only 1.5 km from the center of the beautiful city of Ypres, known for the First World War and the beautiful location on the hilly Westhoek. Your vacation home is somewhat hidden on a wooded and enclosed property with wild flowers and a natural pond. From the living room and the terrace you have a beautiful view of the garden and the pond. The house has been lovingly restored by the owners and very tastefully furnished. In the living room there is a beautiful bed, which is decorative, but can also serve as an additional place to sleep. In the garden you can enjoy the peace and quiet until late and see the birds that like to drink at the pond. There are also two sheep running around that occasionally say hello.

If you can tear yourself away from this paradise, you can take nice bike rides or go for a walk in the Palingbeek Nature Park, 1 km away. Walk along ponds created by World War I craters, such as Caterpillar and Bluff. Take sporty bike rides on the famous Kemmelberg or the Rode and Zwarte Berg. In Westouter you can admire the landscape from a cable car. If you still have some time, we recommend you to visit the cities of Bruges and Lille (F). Bruges, because of the beautifully preserved medieval city and Lille, because of the beautiful half-timbered houses and impressive buildings in the old town. In both cases you can also enjoy shopping. If the weather is nice, you can be at the beach of De Panne in half an hour, so the vacation home is the perfect place for a varied vacation.

We were left sitting on the landing 3 ft.² with all our cases and bags. The management company were arguing that the property was ready for us, but it was full of other peoples belongings. We sat waiting for ages waiting for them to ring back. In the meantime we decided we had to book somewhere else overnight as we had been travelling for hours and was shattered. We got into another hotel and later on, we were told that they had found us another apartment. We moved to it the next morning. They have refused to pay for the hotel although they have refunded one night of the apartment still means we’re out of pocket. Next day, the smoke alarm went off that was an absolute horrendous experience , management company, telling us to switch it off in a basement that didn’t exist. Sending us pictures of another apartment. We had neighbours complaining it went on for two hours , kept getting cut off they didn’t ring you back you couldn’t hear them there were kids screaming in the background never again!. They do not know how to manage an apartment. The apartment itself was very nice a few teething problems that they need to sort out. There was a lovely decked to sit out so we went up with some nibbles and wine to find bags of rubbish and dog poo on it . The owner contacted us I e mailed him back and didn’t hear any more . All you get is e mail after e mail from Huswell the management company They just don’t listen"

- "Passed through visiting breweries and WW2 locations. This is a lovely roomy place for 3 guys. Good location to restaurants and things to see. Parking was tricky but found a surface lot 5 mins walk away." - "Nice apartment. Very good location in the center" - "We booked as a family to go to Ieper. We were given all the instructions ahead of time to check in. We arrived after 11pm to find a family already asleep in our flat (opened the door and could see all their personal posessions etc). We shut the door and went downstairs. We messaged the letting agency and after some time, were instructed to go and wake the family up to find out who they were. We were reluctant to do this as it was nearly 1am at this point. The letting agency eventually phones us and says that we needed to wake the people up as they can't do anything else until we do. We wake the family up, and they had mistakenly arrived at our apartment and thought it was theirs - they were renting the flat upstairs. We were told to take the flat upstairs, which was smaller and the letting agency woukd deal with it in the morning, it was nearly 3.30am at this point. The phone rang at 8am, with the letting agency telling us that they had spoken to the people in our flat and that they needed to move out and swap flats. No cleaning, in between, no changing of sheets on beds etc. When this was questioned the letting agency said to take the bedding that we had slept in and take it downstairs and vice versa with the other family. Still no cleaning could be done. We eventually stayed in the smaller flat until the next day, agreeing with the agent that they would clean the flat then. They did not. The key codes were the same for both flats and never changed."

Welcome to our fully renovated holiday home. Our house is ideal for family holidays, reunions, groups of friends, you name it. The holiday house is located in the historic centre of Ypres, a stone's throw from the station and the free city car park. All sights, shops and leisure facilities are easily accessible on foot. Passendale, the beautiful Heuvelland or the quiet border region are only 15 minutes away by car.

The holiday home is located in the centre of Ypres and is consequently a terraced house. Please keep noise to a minimum and respect the neighbours. We want our guests to have a nice holiday, but we ask that you keep this in mind between 10pm and 7am.

There is street parking available, but bear in mind that it is a ‘blue zone’ where you must put your parking disc (valid for 2h). A little further on, in the peripheral car park at the station, you can park your car for free and for long periods without a parking disc.

Possible from 15h and is done via the key box next to the front door. The code is automatically displayed in the Airbnb app from 24h before check-in.

- On departure with the house to be vacated no later than 10am.
- Close all windows and extinguish all lights.

The first floor of our house is your stay. There is one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower, toilet and lavabo. The sofa in the bedroom can be converted into a single bed. There is coffee, tea and water available.
The stairs open onto the garden where you can stay to your heart's content. Air conditioning is available.

A cosy place in Boezinge, near center of Ypres, only 10 min by car or 25 min by bicycle. We are surrounded by fields with a very nice view to the towers of Ypres. We are bicycle friendly place and can help you explore the region. Sauna not included in price.
