- "Great location, just a short walk to the town center, Immaculate apartment with wonderful hosts" - "This is a really nice studio apartment with a fridge, microwave and stove. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is well appointed. The toilet, with it's own basin, is separate to the shower and the main basin and vanity. There is a small, shady courtyard you can use to relax when you're not out touring. It's a 3-4 minute walk to the Menin Gate where you can see the Last Post ceremony nightly at 8pm. It's approximately 15 minutes walk from Ieper Station. Spar supermarket is about 7 minutes walk. This is more expensive than Aldi, which is about 17 minutes walk. Google maps sent me to Lidl which is not built yet so check Lidl's site before going there :) "

- "The apartment is in a perfect location, very close to Menin Gate and the town square. We were warmly greeted and found the studio to be very clean, well planned, and much thought has been given to the needs of short-stay travellers. It is exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Many restaurants nearby, as well as convenience stores and supermarkets within walking distance. We found it easy to get to and from the train and bus station, about 15min walk, 20min with luggage. Highly recommend a visit to Zonnebeke via 94 bus, to visit the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917. I would not hesitate to stay in this beautiful studio again."

- "Great location well within walking distance of downtown had a great time" - "We arrived to find the property had been double booked. We were left sitting on the landing 3 ft.² with all our cases and bags. The management company were arguing that the property was ready for us, but it was full of other peoples belongings. We sat waiting for ages waiting for them to ring back. In the meantime we decided we had to book somewhere else overnight as we had been travelling for hours and was shattered. We got into another hotel and later on, we were told that they had found us another apartment. We moved to it the next morning. They have refused to pay for the hotel although they have refunded one night of the apartment still means we’re out of pocket. Next day, the smoke alarm went off that was an absolute horrendous experience , management company, telling us to switch it off in a basement that didn’t exist. Sending us pictures of another apartment. We had neighbours complaining it went on for two hours , kept getting cut off they didn’t ring you back you couldn’t hear them there were kids screaming in the background never again!. They do not know how to manage an apartment. The apartment itself was very nice a few teething problems that they need to sort out. There was a lovely decked to sit out so we went up with some nibbles and wine to find bags of rubbish and dog poo on it . The owner contacted us I e mailed him back and didn’t hear any more . All you get is e mail after e mail from Huswell the management company They just don’t listen"

- "Passed through visiting breweries and WW2 locations. This is a lovely roomy place for 3 guys. Good location to restaurants and things to see. Parking was tricky but found a surface lot 5 mins walk away." - "Nice apartment. Very good location in the center" - "We booked as a family to go to Ieper. We were given all the instructions ahead of time to check in. We arrived after 11pm to find a family already asleep in our flat (opened the door and could see all their personal posessions etc). We shut the door and went downstairs. We messaged the letting agency and after some time, were instructed to go and wake the family up to find out who they were. We were reluctant to do this as it was nearly 1am at this point. The letting agency eventually phones us and says that we needed to wake the people up as they can't do anything else until we do. We wake the family up, and they had mistakenly arrived at our apartment and thought it was theirs - they were renting the flat upstairs. We were told to take the flat upstairs, which was smaller and the letting agency woukd deal with it in the morning, it was nearly 3.30am at this point. The phone rang at 8am, with the letting agency telling us that they had spoken to the people in our flat and that they needed to move out and swap flats. No cleaning, in between, no changing of sheets on beds etc. When this was questioned the letting agency said to take the bedding that we had slept in and take it downstairs and vice versa with the other family. Still no cleaning could be done. We eventually stayed in the smaller flat until the next day, agreeing with the agent that they would clean the flat then. They did not. The key codes were the same for both flats and never changed."

The spacious loft contains two bedrooms, a bathroom, sitting area and a pleasant dining area with open kitchen. When the weather is nice, you can also stay on the nice terrace overlooking a green area in the middle of the city. You can park your car for free in the carport of the loft.

There is a car park under the building. You can reach it via the car lift. The car lift you use to reach the car park is limited for cars with a maximum height of up to 2m (x 240cm wide x 590cm long).

May 2021 our story begins. Together we drove to Ypres in full excitement to view a LOFT in a former monastery in Ypres. It was love at first sight. We saw a hidden pearl with beautiful authentic elements. Meanwhile, it is our jewel and we have decorated the loft with the cosiness of home. We love to share our love and hope that our guests feel like kings and queens in our beautiful home. We provide the mattresses and pillows with an antibacterial cover. We have chosen high quality bed and bath linen from "De Witte Lietaer" and "Essenza". Tea and coffee making facilities are available. For our guests we have an underground private parking. There is also a bicycle storage room at the building. Free parking is possible in the area. e can also find us on social media.

In 1885, Louis Duhameeuw, "Photographie Duhameeuw-Pacco" founded in Ypres, specialization, portrait. The couple will have 5 children including 2 sons Lucien and André (°1896). In 1912 they move to Tempelstraat. During WWI, the case moves to Poperinge, Louis is taking photos of British soldiers. Lucien and André participate in “Den Grooten Oorlog. Lucien dies some time after Armistice, his name is gripped on the Ieperse Gedenkmuur Military and Civil Doden WWI. André survives the trenches, and in 1920 the case reopened on Tempelstraat. In 1925 he married Maria Wullepit from Ypres, “Photographie André Duhameeuw” is being expanded further. During WWII, they “flee” to France where he works with a colleague in Angers. In 1950, their son Jacques (°1925) married Fromonde Steyaert from Ghent. “Photography André & Jacques Duhameeuw” evolves to “Color Studio Duhameeuw”, a modern photo studio with its own colorlabo. In 1976, their youngest son Louis (°1954), who, together with his wife Elke Deceuninck, is still operating “Foto Duhameeuw”.

Your stay "Temps de Pose Ypres" is located on the 1st floor, above an advertising agency. You have access to the living room overlooking the street, the kitchen overlooking the garden and the bedrooms overlooking the city.

If you stay with us, you will find yourself at your disposal in the top floor of an old mayor's house with a large city garden (also trampoline and playhouse). On the ground floor you have our restaurant. In the apartment you have 2 bathrooms, a large open kitchen, dining area that overlooks the garden. The 3 bedrooms offer space for 8 people. We are located in the historic heart of Ypres, a 5-minute walk from the market and also from the bus and train station.

The space
We created a spacious living area where you look out over our city garden. A place where you can relax in the sitting area or sit together around the table. There is a well-equipped kitchen where many hobby cook can pick up his heart.
