- "Great place to stay in Brussels." - "The check in process was terrible. The lockbox that contained the key was not in the location that we were told it would be. After several communications we were finally told to look across the street for a lockbox. Then we were given an entirely different code to unlock the lockbox than the one we were given initially. It was very frustrating. When we got into the apartment, we found that the WiFi did not work. We were given another password to try. That didn't work, so we were told to reset the cable box. There were numerous cables all in one big pile, so it was difficult to find the right one to unplug and plug back in. It still didn't make the cable work, so I crawled around on the floor for nothing. When I communicated with management about the WiFi, the person acted like we were just too stupid do know how to put in the correct password. Someone did come over with another device that we were able to use and have WiFi. The next unpleasant thing that happened is that we did not have hot water the first evening. I suspect that the hot water was turned off, or very low, and it took about 24 hours for the water to get hot enough for showers. I emailed the management and told them that our experience had been most unpleasant to this point. Someone emailed me back saying that I had been unpleasant to deal with. That was a rather rude. The water was hot by the second evening. I feel we should be reimbursed at a minimum the cost for the first night's stay. Please let me know. "

You then go into the building and are called into a back office-- they don't greet you-- and a guy who speaks almost no English signs you in, takes your credit card for city tax and deposit, and talks into his phone translator to tell you where to leave the key. You find out your room is around the corner, next to a shop and the entrance is between two piles of garbage. 3 flights of stairs up, and room as described. Otherwise nice room, fairly quiet. Neighborhood is very scary-- a lot of non-native Belgians and people living on the street, trash everywhere. We were all guys and were uneasy about walking around. Not recommended. "

- "The property was roomy and had great space. It met the need of our group. The location was close to various things like food, drinks, shopping and transportation. I would book with SmartFlats again. There are a few cosmetic things the property needs to fix or look into for future tenants. The rooms' curtain rods look like they were broken and so the curtains had to be hooked onto the window. They kept falling off. The soap dispensers in the shower also looked like they had broken off. While this wouldn't matter during the summer, the fact that there was no furnace heating came as a real surprise. Instead, the main floor was heated by a wood burning stove, and the upstairs rooms were all heated by space heaters. While they adequately did the job, safety reasons meant we came back to a freezing house every day, and it took time to heat everything up. We were also concerned that our 3 or 4 year old would knock over the space heaters and cause a fire. This is a very dangerous way to heat an apartment. While the property did send us an email the night before with instructions for how to get in to the apartment, I never received a response when attempting to message the property directly. I sent an Expedia Message a week before we were due to arrive, and an email two days before, and they never replied. Over all, I would not recommend this place. It sufficed since we didn't have other options, but the advertisement is much nicer than the place itself."

Studio Flandrien is a no-nonsense studio apartment located on a quiet street, officially recognized and licensed by Visit Flanders.

The studio is specifically designed with cyclists in mind, although other guests who share a passion for cycling are just as welcome.

The interior is simple yet well maintained. In consultation with the owners, guests can use the backyard to unwind after a demanding (cycling) effort.

Reinforced door. No microwave. 140cm wide bed. No blinds or hangings in the living room. No point of interest (tourist places) in the neighborhood. Free parking on site. The center of Brussels is 30' door-to-door from the apartment by public transport.

This perfectly located home offers easy access to all sights and amenities. It is located a stone's throw from Place du Miroir is also not far from tram stop 19, to go to the center of Brussels. It is surrounded by shops and also on Sundays the walk is in front of you. It is a 19 m2 studio with a toilet and shower, there is no internet connection or a hob.
