Be advised, however, the unit is on the fourth floor, with no elevator but my wife and (mid '50s) managed without issue and it may have even benefited us, given all of the drinking and eating we did for the week...:) A couple of critiques that may benefit the property owner would be outlets/adapters for USBs as no matter where you hail from they are needed, and keep the propane grill filled. Even in chilly weather, having a grill is a wonderful option, and you already have one there. "

Giorgia" - "The property is located on a quiet street in a lively, multicultural neighborhood. Stores, restaurants, and public transportation are within walking distance. There is an open air market on Saturday within walking distance. The outside is unassuming, but the inside is a real gem. There is a nice paved courtyard with a little grill, that I didn't get to enjoy since I was alone. The place was a lot bigger than I expected. For a couple staying longer than a few days, there is plenty of storage and a washer and dryer. One of the reasons I didn't give this property an excellent mark is that I had trouble finding it. Since it had a name, I expected a marquee or sign of some kind. After two days of travel, it was frustrated looking around for the place - the email that the landlord sent me went straight to my junk mail. So, I'd missed the check-in information. Expedia helped me take care of that. The other reason is that the landlord/agency/property managers scheduled a furniture delivery during my stay. They came on a Thursday, when I was set to leave on Monday. I think that could have been done after my check-out. Overall, this place is great and I will definitely use it again and recommend it to others, more so because what they delivered was a sofa bed. Which means that a two couples could rent the place. I don't think this is a family kind of place (at least not an American family) as some of the books are really not suited to children stumbling onto them."

Splendid lofty apartment with two rooms near the lakes of Ixelles and Flagey.

Thoughtfully designed, it is my own space that I rent while I'm away.
The apartment is located on the second floor of a backhouse, in the center of a block, and is therefore very very quiet. Good rest guaranteed;)

Nice central yet quiet neighbourhood. Close to all amenities and lots of public transport nearby.

The first room is very spacious (about 30 m2) and bright, and has view on backyards. It has its own bath and sink. The second room is small nest. The shower room - WC - utility room is shared by the hosts.

The living room is an open space. It's all very spacious. The kitchen is super equiped (I'm quite a cook!).

The apartment is just a few minutes walk from Place Flagey (good food market on weekends, lots of bars and restaurants, a cultural center with very a good concert and film programmation), the bucolic Etangs d'Ixelles (ponds of Ixelles) and the beautiful abbaye of La Cambre, perfect for picnic when weather allows! In 15 min by feet you can also reach the Bois de La Cambre, a large wood in the middle of the city, and on the other side the merchant streets, bars and cinemas around Saint Boniface, Fernand Cocq, Chaussée d'Ixelles (Porte de Namur - metro station), avenue de la Toison d'Or and avenue Louise, as well as the rue du Bailli and Châtelain. Flagey has a lot to offer, but from there it is also very easy to access any point of interest in Brussels.

- "The apartment is set back behind another building, so away from the road. The access doesn’t give a reassuring impression - you have to navigate through a private parking area (not available to use) and up 40 industrial-style metal steps, but once through the door, the spacious living area becomes apparent. The kitchen seems to be well equipped, though because we spent a lot of time visiting friends/family, we only used the fridge, kettle and toaster. There’s a good shower in the main bathroom. It would have been nice to use the roll-top bath in the large bedroom, but we couldn’t get the water flowing sufficiently. We ended up needing to stay for longer than we’d intended so had to do some laundry, so the washing machine was welcome. We knew the tumble dryer wasn’t working as the host had advised us before we arrived, but there’s a launderette just 100 yards up the road. We slept really well, probably due to it being so quiet. This is a reasonably priced apartment for what you get. Be openminded about what to expect. This is not a hotel-style apartment, it really feels like someone’s home, with lots of personal belongings around adding to the character and feel of their home. Despite it’s quirkiness, we eventually settled in and feel we would be happy to stay again. Ultimately, the attention, understanding, communication and flexibility of the host, Maud, sealed the deal for us. Thank you."

The apartment is partly on ground floor and partly downstairs (underground):
- ground floor: 1 bedroom + kitchen + living room with sofa bed + 1 toilet + 1 bathroom
- downstairs : 1 bedroom + toilet + shower room. This space is perfect for child or teenager.

- "Overall we had a really enjoyable week with our 3 young kids (aged 6 to 10). The apartment (ground floor) is beautiful, spacious, has a garden. It is dated / old-fashioned, but in a nice, elegant literary way. Very well-stocked as lived-in, nice toiletteries and coffee supplied. The area of Brussels is a real delight, so many cafes and restaurants close by, and trams/buses every few minutes. The only issue was the 2nd bedroom is in the basement. This basement is not accessible from the main apartment building, but down an outdoor stairs at the end of the garden. It's a grim basement, and we couldn't be so separate from our children. In the end, we didn't use the basement at all during our stay, but just used the spacious ground floor."
