From Japanese garden to green lungs.

Nothing as “zen” as strolling through the Japanese Garden on a Sunday. This Eastern oasis is the largest in Europe. Listen to the chattering waterfalls, feed carp or discover lush spring blossoms. Hasselt also has several nature reserves that act as green lungs. Domain Kiewit, Tommelen or the Herkenrodebossen are highly recommended. But also the newly renovated Kapermolenpark is ideal for jogging, walking the dog or romping with the (small)children.
