You can shop, eat out, visit the Drents Museum, etc. At 2500 meters from B & B De Ommekeer is TT Circuit Assen and the TT Evenementenhal, which you can reach on foot. A large recreational lake and the beautiful Pelinckbos border on the back of the B & B.
De Ommekeer is a residential farm with mini camping facilities. You can use

This city apartment is particularly spacious for 2 people, compared to a hotel room. There is a bedroom, living room, kitchen, shower and separate toilet. The kitchen has a balcony. Parking is free, on site and surroundings. Located on the outskirts of the city center of Assen, this makes the entire city center, very easily walkable.

Compared to a standard hotel room, our city apartment offers a lot of privacy and a quiet place to relax. Located on the outskirts of the super cozy center of Assen, with nice shops, restaurants and sights.
You have access to a living room, bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet and kitchen with balcony. In the kitchen you can use microwave, fridge, freezer, Nespresso, kettle, stove and toaster.

The space
The apartment of Sleeping on the Vaart consists of a living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom, a bedroom, a bathroom and a hallway. In 2017, all spaces have been completely converted into this new apartment. As of mid-January 2018, we are proud to rent these spaces, perhaps to you.

The living room is furnished with a sitting area including TV. In front of the window overlooking the garden there is a dining area for several people. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob and a microwave.

The bedroom has a double bed, handmade wardrobe and a desk.

In the bathroom there is a luxurious walk-in shower, a bathroom furniture and a floating toilet.

WiFi is provided in the apartment.

As a guest, you have your own entrance. You enter through the basement on the boat side. At the back, guests have a private garden with a seat under the apple tree.

Have you always wanted to stay on an estate with a special family history? Then come to Landgoed Overcingel. Experience the tranquility and space, which was normal then, in a modern setting. In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. Partly in order to preserve the estate, it has been decided to partly convert this into an atmospheric B&B
Come stay with the cozy hostess who welcomes you and makes your stay as comfortable as possible.

The space
In January 2025 we started our B&B in the beautiful house Overcingel, a property from 1776 in which many old details can still be found. The B&B has 2 spaces . The bedroom with adjoining the bathroom is located in the left wing , where the kitchen used to be located. These spaces have been completely renovated and preserved . A wonderfully quiet place overlooking the property . The second space is the living room which is in the same part of the house and used to be ( and actually still) the upstairs room. The entire left wing is at your disposal and is accessible via a private entrance and closed from the further house .

Beautiful, spacious, design, comfort, sunny, cozy, contemporary. A large city apartment with its own entrance and large, sunny roof terrace. In the center of Assen aan de Vaart with city port with fantastic views. The Drents museum, theatre, shopping area and train station within walking distance. Restaurants and terraces at 250m. Assen is centrally located in the North of the Netherlands with Groningen Airport Eelde only 15 minutes away by car. Pick up and drop off service is available, also to and from the train station.

The space
Through your own entrance, you reach a spacious floor with large living room at the front with super views via the stairs. In the open closet you will find books and magazines about Assen and surroundings. A smart TV, workspace, and free WIFI everywhere.

A designer kitchen you cook on induction. There are plenty of pans in all sizes. There is a small dishwasher, a fridge/freezer, a generous oven. All necessary kitchen inventory and crockery can be found in the drawers. Kitchen linen is always well in stock.
There is a Nespresso machine, but Café-pressé can also be made.

On the large sleeping loft with access to the roof terrace and air conditioning, the double bed is made as standard. If you prefer each to have your own bed, we make it as a twin and place the beds apart. Please specify when booking. We have a made-up cot should you need that.
In the corner of the sleeping loft is a bean bag bench where you can also sleep excellently. If you need it, we'll make it tidy. When the weather is nice, you can also put this light-in-weight bench on the roof terrace to lounge in.

The particularly furnished bathroom has a large walk in shower with a rain shower where a lot of water comes out. Towels, and a bowl of shower products, will be available to help.

In the large walk-in closet in the living room, there are the household items to keep the apartment organized. Space enough for your suitcases and bags.
In the closet on the landing is the washing machine you can use.

The roof terrace is furnished with terrace furniture and pillows. In the summer, there is also sun blinds.

Guest access
If you have your own bikes or are you on the motorbike, or vintage car, you can store it safely under our private carport. Cars can also park for free in the street.

Other things to note
If you like it you can book a boat trip through the National Park the Old Fens in Fiesland. With our comfortable sloop we sail from Eernewoude through this beautiful area (not free). Bites & drinks are provided.
