This spacious apartment is located in the middle of the Unesco Geopark on the outskirts of Bielefeld and is located directly on the slope of the Teutoburg Forest. The spacious apartment was renovated in 2017 and decorated very individually. There is a library for reading mats as well as a media library with sound carriers and DVDs and board games that can be used.

The cozy room is located in the herbally wild garden of the house with beautiful, wide views of the Bethel Valley and the Teutoburg Forest. Hikers and cyclists will find a quiet place to rest in nature and at the same time are a 15-minute walk from the vibrant center of our diverse and colorful city of Bielefeld.
Unfortunately, Airbnb does not differentiate by the age of the children. The room is quite suitable for an accompanying child from 8 years. However, only as a second person.

The space
The location of this place is very nice. If you like to hike through the Teutoburg Forest, for example on the Hermannsweg, you will enjoy the beautiful view of the valley and the wooded slopes for an evening rest. Here you can hear birds chirping in the middle of the city.
The house is located in the Gadderbaum district, which is nestled in the Teutoburger Wald-Höhenzug. Our district is called Bethel. This district has a 150-year-long diaconal history, which I will gladly tell you a little about on request.
Just a 15-minute walk over a foothill of the range and you are in the center of our vibrant city full of culture and joie de vivre. Our city of Bielefeld does exist...

The room is located in our apartment on the second floor of a two-family house. The room is our living room, which is all yours during your stay. It's not a walk-through room. The bed is a sofa bed. Our blinds are broken so that daylight comes through. See photo. However, there are no lanterns or similar light sources on this side of our house, so it gets dark in the room at night.
Our fully equipped kitchen can be used by arrangement to cook a warming tea or dinner. For us, the kitchen is what the living room is for many: the center of our apartment, where we sit together comfortably, chat, play, etc.

During your stay

The bathroom must be shared. Since we don't have a guest toilet, everyone stays in it as short as possible. For example, we change in our rooms or blow-dry our hair there.
The guest sofa is suitable for one person and one child when unfolded. But we can also put a futon mat in the room.
Unfortunately, we can only offer the futon mat to a second adult, as the sofa bed is not designed for the weight of two adults.
Since we rely on mutual trust (this is the accommodation in which we live and not a guesthouse), there are no locks and keys inside the apartment. We don't even have them... they were probably lost 50 years ago...

The 1-room apartment (approx. 30 square meters) with combined living/sleeping room + bathroom is located in the heart of the Teutoburg Forest, 2 km from Bielefeld city center.

Since the apartment runs over the corner, sleeping and living including the small kitchen (kitchenette) are visually separated from each other. The spacious bathroom features a shower & bathtub.

In the entrance area, there is a wardrobe.

The space
The apartment is equipped with a 140 x 200 cm bed, TV with public channels, wardrobe, sofa, seating and a single kitchen (kitchen utensils, dishes, coffee machine with capsules (Tassimo), tea, kettle, fridge/freezer included).

There is space for a cot or mattress.

The heaters are controlled via smart home, which leads to the heating being turned off automatically, for example, when the window is open! If it is too cold at the top of the apartment, please feel free to report it and we will raise the heating.

My small apartment is centrally located in Bielefeld. It is only a 20-minute walk to downtown. Bus stop around the corner. Everything you need for everyday life is quickly taken care of. Edeka+ Lidl are reached in 2 minutes.
The attic apartment is bright, all neighbors are nice and the entire house is super quiet.
The apartment is located at a large intersection, you can hear the traffic, so if you are very sensitive to noise... then it is better to keep your hands off it.
